Couldn’t decide what to order so I let the waiter decide for me. Ended up getting pork rib chop with garlic mashed potato. From now on I’ll always let the waiter decide for me. The staff were the most friendly and professional I’ve ever seen

We overheard the server tell another table that their menu was paired down due to lack of personnel. The prices were considerably higher than our last visit with a much smaller menu, the wine we asked for they did not have even though it was on their wine list. It’s just not the same Daniels as we have known, it used to be a special place for our family. Doubtful it will be our choice in the future.

The steak could have been cut with a fork. I had the boneless rib eye and it was cooked perfectly but was rich in flavor. My wife had the salmon and said the salmon was incredible but the watermelon was not great.
Service was FAST and the waitress was attentive and helpful. We were in and out in less than an hour but we weren’t rushed by the staff at all. It was just how quick they were with the service.

The service was EXCEPTIONAL! My husband tried the pork chop.., I was jealous!!! It was amazing! I stuck with my staple here the lamb chops which were very good as usual. The Lavender Martini is also one of my favs!!!

I took out of town guests here on a Tuesday night. They landed late and arrived at 9pm. Around 945 our enjoyable conversation was interrupted by several staff members several times if we wanted the same plates cleared, was there anything else we needed etc. I could tell they wanted to wrap up (although when I asked earlier in the evening what time they closed…I wanted to be prepared…the server indicated whenever guests were through…I assumed guests decided when they were through). They interrupted a story I was trying to tell so many times I just stopped talking. My guest had to ask the server for space. $400 for one hour with my friends. We cleared out when they brought back the check; the Server didn’t even break up the check like I asked before guests arrived. This is not the level of service I expected. Even without the frequency of interruptions at the end, no one should ever interrupt when someone is speaking to others…not even servers. Etiquette is to wait until you’re acknowledged before speaking. And of course besides that, don’t ask the same question multiple times in 5 minutes. Too many other good restaurants in town to go back here.

We visited Daniel’s for a Saturday night dinner during Labor Day Weekend. The reviews were great and we liked the idea of a classy date night (four dollar signs). We were a little late but were seated pretty quickly. I was a little confused because the restaurant was labeled “classy,” but other patrons were in cutoff denim shorts and very casual attire. Another couple waiting with us was clearly inebriated before they were even seated. It didn’t feel classy at all.
The service was good, nothing spectacular. The outdoor seating was a pretty view but no candles, some very quiet music in the background, it wasn’t a very ambient setting. The prices were high for the quality of the food.
We had the Dungeness crab legs and fried calamari appetizers. They were good but again, nothing special. I had a cup of clam chowder and it wasn’t great. We shared a steak sampler with mashed potato and Brussels sprouts sides.
There truly wasn’t wrong with the service, location, food or anything. I was expecting “classy” and willing to splurge for that, but I couldn’t justify the menu prices.

Service Charge of 20% on every meal......not gratuity!!!! You have to pay gratuity on top of that service charge! 3 people produced a 57.00 service charge?????? I was like omg it's not gratuity?????I had no idea they are doing this to their wait staff, its like stealing their tips!!!!......
The food.....My steak was good, my moms fish was dry and and came with chopped veges but my husband's lambchops were wonderful. Beautiful place with wonderful service but they are way over priced for the amount and quality of food. You also have to pay for parking....for me it's not worth the money to go back. Over $400 for 3 people......

Old school atmosphere. Excellent service with experienced waiters who had do deal with high maintenance snobby customers next to us who couldn't be pleased with any wine bright to the table. Four shrimp for$28 though

Birthday dinner for friend. Outdoor concert was a little loud, but not Daniel’s fault. Food was good. Server tolerated us...felt like we were inconveniencing her - not a great feeling but she wasn’t a jerk about it

The worst food I have ever had at a restaurant. Bread was stale, mushrooms were cold, steak was ill prepared and tasted funny, wine was poor, creme brule was seriously off. Was made with something else and tasted nasty.

While the food and view is amazing it took almost 45 minutes to be seated from our reservation time of 730. Did not recieve our main courses until after 9pm. Otherwise good experience.

I am not submitting a great review because for the price we paid, I was expecting better food. We ordered 2 ribeye steaks that were cooked perfectly but didn’t have any taste, meat was too lean. Side of asparagus was half raw, mashed potatoes didn’t seem to be made out of real potatoes. Setting is potentially beautiful but quite dark and outdated.

Staff, location and food are excellent. Daniel's is always a good time and hope live piano playing returns. It is a little pricey; however, the prices include a 20% service charge that is split between the service staff and the house.

First, the positives: our server was wonderful, friendly, and available, and the filet was cooked perfectly. The rest of the experience, however, was pretty disappointing and left me with a feeling of faded glory. Most of our dishes tasted/appeared mass produced and tired. Soups and sauces were goopy and by the time they were served they had a film congealed at the surface - something you just don’t want to see at finer restaurants. The panzanella salad served with the Halibut looked like it had been prepped a day or two ago. On the other hand the Spinach Salad was memorable but was more of a dessert than a salad as the dressing was sooo sweet and each leaf was heavily drenched.
Perhaps I could have overlooked these issues if I felt great about the ambiance, but our experience on the patio just wasn’t where it should be. The view of the lake was, of course, lovely. But the furnishings and flooring felt tired. The outdoor tables with their veneer tops just didn’t feel sophisticated enough to match a menu on which the average entree alone was priced between $50-$100. If I’m paying those prices, I would expect the finishings, furniture and/or linens to support the price point. It’s lakeside, so maybe some teak furniture or white linen tablecloths with candles? An insignificant detail, but one that captures the faded glory feeling was embodied by the 2 pepper grinders that visited our table which looked like they’d been used on a cruise ship for 20 years. Time to lay them to rest! I know Daniel’s can do better.
All in all, I think this location needs an overhaul in the outdoor area. I’ll be waiting until they refresh their decor outside before I head back again. Until then, I’ll likely choose Westward on the other side of the lake.
(For context: I love dining out at similarly priced restaurants in the Seattle area, so I’m comparing my experience to price peers of Daniel’s.)

Appetizers were great, my steak ( Boneless Ribeye) was horrible!! Others in the group were good, desert was good. Service was good.

We were looking forward to eating here on our last night in Seattle. The reviews were promising, and the photos looked good as well.
Although everything tasted fine, and the service was pleasant... my main concern is that the value-for-money just isn't here. There was nothing exceptional about the food, and very expensive compared to other steak houses. We had two drinks, split one artichoke appetizer, one wedge salad and one ribeye steak (again, split). Doesn't $220 seem high for that? It did to me.
As I said, the service was mostly pleasant, but when I noted to our server that my martini was noticeably short poured (spilled maybe?), she looked at me sideways, said "oh sir!" and walked away—as if she was disappointed in me for noticing.
Beware: Daniel's Broiler adds a mandatory 20% service charge to your total bill. While I like to tip generously, this practice of building a charge into my tab bugs me.
Oh, and the dinner roles were stale.
So nothing terrible, but this wasn't the special experience we were hoping for. We had a MUCH nicer meal at the Capital Grille.

Good food, but the steaks, sides, and drinks are just not worth the prices charged. The Metropolitan has better seafood and steak combos; Ruth’s Chris has better steaks and sides.

First time to Daniel’s Broiler (have been meaning to go for years)! Their staff is super friendly and attentive and the food….the food is just phenomenal! Giant portions and flavors that are out of this world! Cocktails are quite amazing too! Left feeling so satisfied and glad we finally came in. Will be back for sure!
