Salad was awesome. The steaks were cooked incorrectly. One was too rare and the other was too well.

A special Christmas celebration. Lovely setting, very delightful waiter. Only negative is the period was small for the price and the automatic tip was based on the after tax amount. I do not appreciate tipping on tax.

First off, I need to preface this review with the fact that I’m not a Microsoft/Google/Amazon exec. I’m on a cops salary so any reference to “expensive” should be taken with a grain of salt. We decided to make the Seahawks Monday Night Football game an event this year. We drove up to Seattle on Sunday, paid too much for a hotel, parking etc. I decided if I’m gonna break the bank I’m gonna do it right so I booked a reservation at Daniels. Boy did I pick the right place to eat! We started with the bacon wrapped scallops for an appetizer. The waitress up sold us to 4 scallops since there were 2 of us and it only came with 3. Great move as they were excellent and I almost ordered another round! Then came dinner. My girlfriend had the filet with lobster. The steak was perfect and the lobster was huge! I had the porterhouse and it didn’t disappoint. Perfectly cooked beef! I also topped it with the Bleu cheese sauce which only made it better. I was stuffed after the huge hunk of beef but had to have desert of course. She had the bread pudding and I had the cookie with ice cream. Both excellent choices! Our bill, including the Seattle “forced tip” came out to $365. A lot for me for dinner but worth every penny! My only complaint was the forced tip. I would rather decide how much my service was worth on my own. Definitely recommend Daniels for a special occasion.

Requested a window table and received a table in a high traffic area in a small room with a large party in it nowhere near a window. This was a special occasion and we made a point of arriving early and were willing to wait for a window table. To say the least we were extremely disappointed. Hostess/staff did nothing to change the situation except offer an apology. We've been going to Daniels for several years to celebrate my sons birthday as it was always his favorite. I certainly expect more when dropping over $600.00 for the three. Will have to rethink our plans next year. Metrolpolitan Grill might be a better option, or even Ruth Chris.

The service our waitress provided was excellent & the food was great. It was a little upsetting that we were sat right beside the kitchen and could see all of the food being prepped and listened to everyone coming in and out of the kitchen especially when there were other seats open. Aside from that - it was great!

We had a pleasant lunch in a rainy day, looking out at the boats and the ducks. Whiskey crab soup was decadent and delicious. The salads were good and the scallops entree was a great hit with our Swedish visitor. The price for a simple lunch of mostly soup and salads was a bit jaw dropping but the food was good, the view excellent, and we are glad we went.

Always delightful dining at Daniels Broiler! Nice place for lunch, happy hour or dinner. Views are outstanding and the food is consistently good! Excellent steaks, seafood and salads. Love their fish tacos! Popcorn shrimp and calamari are good appetizers and good way to start the dining experience. Can be pricey so bring your wallet. Appreciate the FREE PARKING during lunch. It keeps me coming back. Valet parking during dinner is reasonable. Makes parking convenient and an excellent consideration for diners who feel the pinch of parking in Seattle and sometimes will go to Bellevue to dine because it is less of a pain to find affordable parking.

We went on Thanksgiving and were disappointed. The view and the crowd were fun, but the meal and especially the service didn't meet our expectations.

If you do go for a fixed menu event like Thanksgiving, order each course separately. We had barely started our appetizer when soup and salad were thrust on the table. One bite of lettuce and here was the main course. Fortunately we hadn't decided on dessert. So although the waitstaff hovered, we were able to talk and enjoy the view and did not have dessert shoved on us while still eating our main.

It was really fun to see all the families and the young children dressed up for Thanksgiving. If only Daniel's Broiler had risen to the occasion. The food was unremarkable, except for the steak, and hastily spilled onto the plate.

Worse than the food was the indifference to the experience of the diners:

1) Daniel's had an employee with a notebook walking by each table every few minutes, eyeing the progress of the meal and making notes. Disconcerting and rude. Vultures have better manners.

2) The valet parking. Many who used the valet parking were elderly, and they stood outside under cover for ten minutes or more waiting for cars. All Daniel's needed was a staff member specifically tasked with either bringing chairs or somehow mitigating the wait for those with walkers or canes.

We made a reservation for our Son's 18th Birthday celebration. We arrived and the restaurant was empty minus two other tables. We were seated at a.regular table with a poor view of the lake. We asked the staff member that had showed us to our table if we could sit at one of the empty Booth's. She said we would have to walk with her back to the hostess area and then come back. That's just plain stupid. I asked her to clarify that I heard correctly - I did. All four of us had to walk back through an empty restaurant to sit at the empty booth next to our table. When you pay $550 for dinner for four people you expect better treatment than that. Won't go back.

Good steaks, great sides, and solid service. The experience overall is like most other big-name steakhouses but they offer some interesting options not widely available. Never seen a tasting menu of filet before! Service was attentive, but also adept at upselling. Felt a little rushed to order (and ordered too much), but all the food was very good. Very expensive. We reserve this for special occasions only.

This was our first time. My husband and I heard good things. We came in the waitress we had was great. My husband ordered steak I ordered the jidora chicken and it was soo chewy it almost was like gum like. I also ordered the crab mac and cheese. There was no cheese and my crab was cold the noodles were hard and to top it all off the pesto on the macaroni was dry it tasted like powder. We don't have all the money in the world but $175.00 for just me and my husband is what we paid and only thing good for me was the Sierra mist soda and the mashed potatoes. I felt bad I brought my friends out for a nice night we all paid and arm a leg for disappointment. If anyone reads this PLEASE save your money and go somewhere else. The waitress we had was awesome. I just wish the food would have matched. My husband and I came to the conclusion that, that was a lesson learned. Next time we will go to Melrose in Renton Wa. There steak was out of this world and you will not leave feeling embarrassed of where you ate. I will never ever set foot in the Daniels Broiler. I don't even wanna be in there park in lot by accident. Please going forward DB cook your food, taste your food before you serve it was bland. I kept thinking maybe one of those tv chiefs will come and help restore there dry old folks chicken and gravy that was my meal. $175.00 sweet baby Jesus we paid someone's phone bill.. It was 2 days ago and I still feel played. I took the chicken home to docter it up and the chicken still was horrible. I do got one thing for the waitress. You see that 2 people ordered the crab mac and cheese and only one was eaten just say for future hey how was your meal get the conversation going for the meal going so that reviews like this won't happen. You can get that immediate feedback and then it could be nipped in the bud right then you don't want continuous bad reviews. My one bad review could affect some one else. And this is what make business die. Just saying I've seen it happened.

The service was pretty top-notch in the beginning. We really liked our server, but towards the end of the meal, I believe she got really busy and didn't check on us. We had to flag other servers to try get our check and our food boxed up.

The food did not really meet my high expectations. I ordered the pan fried chicken with mashed potatoes. The chicken was mediocre and would not order it again, but the mashed potatoes were tasty. The wedge salad was excellent and fresh, and the side of asparagus was cooked to perfection. I regret not ordering the steak. I took some desserts to go, and they didn't taste great when I got home. The chocolate cake was not that good, and the cheesecake was not the best cheesecake we've ever had.

Overall, this is a nice place to go for a special occasion, but would not be my first choice.

Came here for our anniversary dinner on Halloween, and could not have been happier! The server was even kind enough to wrap my ribeye bone in foil for me to take home to my pups.

My ONLY complaint was the child sitting behind us who wouldn’t stop screaming and pulling my boyfriends hair. Parents did nothing about it, and I was the one having to tell the child to stop. This is definitely not an establishment to bring your young kids, especially for the people around you who are paying top dollar to not eat at a daycare center.
