   The food was amazing. Our servers were amazing and the ambience is very nice quiet piano, playing in the background conversations from everyone else I took my best friend there for her birthday, and she absolutely loved everything. They even brought her out a birthday cupcake with a sparkler, it was so cute, and we had amazing drinks, and our food was cooked to perfection.

   First time going. We went for my son (who turned 12) and my birthday (just the 2 of us). We had reservations at 5pm so traffic was not at peak. We sat in the patio area. We were already under a tornado watch at the time and the storm was coming, so weather was already known. It started out great. The rain came down and started to come through the patio. Water started to come towards our table. One of the servers grabbed a bunch of cloth napkins and started moving tables behind me and Laying it down trying to create a barrier. NO ONE started to move us first as it was the tables around us. We asked our server and he said the main dining area was not open yet but we will move once it’s ready. All the commotion still around us and finally someone asked if we wanted to move. They moved us to another table in the patio area. I would just like to point out that this was our first time and we wanted to do something special for our birthday. I am no everyday person eating at fancy steakhouse restaurants but I am a nurse who works hard and rewards my family now and then. Today we went to experience not just the food but the atmosphere. I did speak to the manager in which I was met with, we can’t do anything about the weather and I’m sorry, but no one had thought to move us initially. I did pay and tip our server who provided great service to us. Food was good. Our overall experience was subpar. I have only ate at another steakhouse which was Del friscos and even our experience was far better.

When the storm started, it was just a small leak which happens on our patio occasionally. When it looked like it was going to be a bigger issue, the manager came over & asked you if you would like to move & gave you an option of either moving to another part of the patio or move into the dining room & you chose to stay on the patio.

    A Dallas gem! From the warm and friendly greeting at the front from the hostess and manager to the professional and caring service by Henry. The entire staff was genuinely interested in providing us a great experience. Starting at the Bar for a drink, Alli, our Bartender, was a delight. Service with a smile, charm and mixes a great Old Fashioned! Henry, our Server, was a delight. His warm personality, knowledge and excellent service made the evening perfect. The recommendations were spot on. The food was delicious from the Appetizers to the main course steaks, sides and of course desserts. Having dined around Dallas, Dakota’s is a must dine as one of Dallas’s premier Steak houses.

    It was my first time dining at Dakota’s and the experience was amazing! Luis our server was very friendly and knowledgeable! The food was absolutely phenomenal! Drake, one of the managers stopped by and said hello and ensured we would have a great experience! Everything was 10/10. I definitely will be back soon!

    Service - outstanding. Ambience - excellent (we were seated in front of the window near the waterfall. The main dining room had a live pianist and we wanted something a bit more reserved, so our table was perfect). I ordered the roasted seafood platter. The platter is roasted tableside, which is an experience, and mainly what you're paying for. It was a bit underwhelming for the price. Several of the clams & mussels took on the flavor of the alcohol used to flambe the platter, leaving a bitter taste. My husband enjoyed his filet, Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. We thought the ice cream was some of the best we'd had. They had a special treat for celebrations, which was a nice touch. I'll definitely return, but the platter was a one and done for me.

    I had not been to Dakota in several years, but that has been my loss. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. Live piano music was fabulous and the whole experience was wonderful.

    My husband and I booked last minute and ended up sitting at the bar, but our service was still spectacular. Our waitress Alli was attentive, sweet and able to give amazing recommendations! Even the staff that only delivered our food/ drinks were personable and incredibly accommodating. Food is one thing - but service is what keeps you coming back.

    I almost never write restaurant reviews, but we met a waiter in training last night who had to be recognized publicly.. Christian Johnson was his name and he was phenomenal. This is his first waiter/restaurant job and let me say he is going to ROCK as a waiter or anything he does in life! Definitely a huge asset for Dakota’s Steakhouse. Thanks again Christian for making our experience stellar!

    Normally I never write reviews, however Dakota’s had to be an exception. Julio was a fantastic server, incredibly knowledgeable and personable. He provided an exceptional experience and great suggestions that lead to an incredible dining experience. We had the crab cake lollipops and scallops for an appetizer, both of which were amazing. We enjoyed the golden mule and paradise found as our pre dinner cocktails, both of which were exceptionally balanced. Prior to our dinner we spoke with the sommelier and ordered a Pinot Noir to compliment mine and my girlfriends dinner. For dinner I ordered a 14oz Bone-In Filet with truffle butter and crab toppings, my girlfriend had the catch of the day which was an Alaskan Halibut, and for sides we had the beets and lobster mac and cheese. By far the best steak I have ever enjoyed, which says a lot for a frequent steakhouse enjoyer. Most notably the wine we selected via the sommelier complimented both of our dishes, which is no small feat when you’re looking at matching a filet and halibut. For dessert I picked the ferris wheel ice cream, which was such a unique experience on its own. All in all, Dakota’s was an amazing experience in every way, beautiful restaurant, amazing service, and fantastic food; would highly highly recommend!

    Not sure why we needed to be outside. Couldn’t hear because of the waterfall. No bread served, even when asked for it. Little bugs, knats flying around and in my chowder. Homeless guy staring at me from above the courtyard. Very disappointing

    Second time around! We have been craving their food since a week ago when we visited. If u are looking for an elegant place for date night, this is the place! The atmosphere and ambiance are stellar, the food is heaven for ur palate, the service is impeccable! Please ask for Nathan if u go. He's the most funny, charismatic waiter there is! He was so helpful and knowledgeable! This is definitely our go to steakhouse!

    You simply must try the tater tot! The ribeye was prepared to perfection and has me thinking about when I can return to have it again. Matthew was the bartender. He made wonderful drinks and provided friendly and welcoming service. I had an exceptional experience and would highly recommend.

    Food and service were terrific. I love the scallop appetizer, but $26 for three scallops is admittedly somewhat silly. Sitting in the bar area is fun, but with so many people standing in the bar area it can be tight and distracting when they brush by your table. But the Beef Wellington and service are always worth it, and you know what you sign up for on a Saturday night. Overall a great place.

    Not much flavor for beef Wellington, filet mignon, crab cakes, nor clam chowder. Just salty. I was disappointed. Must be a bad night for the chef or I had high expectations. Last time for men. No more. Luckily, I did enjoy my time with the gf.
