When visiting the restaurant, patrons descend 18 feet underground in a canopied glass elevator, accessed from street level, for a culinary experience unlike any other. The American Steakhouse offers an expansive 1,800 square foot subterranean courtyard allowing patrons to dine al fresco and enjoy a New Orleans-inspired exterior space. This cool oasis is complete with a 20 foot, 5-tiered granite water wall, multi-tiered landscaping, lava rock fire pit, and black granite bar. Dakota's below-ground patio has long been considered one of the city's most romantic dining spots.

We believe the best steaks come from the best cut and quality. That’s why we get all of our beef fresh from renowned beef purveyors, Allen Brothers. Each cut is corn and grain fed USDA Prime steak that our chef handpicks. Each steak is aged for a minimum of 28 days for a perfectly tender, juicy bite every time.

It is our goal to give you a great meal every time you join us for lunch or dinner.

Hailing from coveted Fountaingrove, high on the western aspect of the Mayacamas mountain range, this winery par excellence enjoys celebrated winemaker Elizabeth Tangney’s daily efforts to produce some of Sonoma’s most impressive Cabernets. Multi-course pairings are born of a concentrated effort between our Executive Chef Ji Kang, and our Sommelier Brandon Smoot. The night’s lineup will include highly exclusive back vintages, as well as an end-of-the-evening opportunity to purchase a few bottles for your cellar. Finally, we will cap the event with a sensational raffled prize donated by Cornell, with each seat counting towards one raffle ticket. Pricing: Tickets are $460 per person, inclusive of all fees, gratuity, and taxes.

Absolutely wonderful experience from the second you pull up. Kind valet, mirrors for pics in the elevator, and being immediately greeted by an amazing ambiance. Service was impeccable and food was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Will certainly be choosing them again for another luxury date night in the future.

I had plans to come out for my birthday with my sister to the Dakotas and unfortunately ended up cancelling. Despite feeling not too up to going out, I decided to go anyway and I did not regret my decision. From the moment I met the valet outside I felt welcome. The atmosphere is out of this world. The waterfall on the patio was definitely eye catching. And my server Judge definitely has a customer for life! Thank you Judge and Dakota’s for making my special day extra special. Looking forward to visiting again.

The food and service was incredible! Shout out to Dylan, our waiter! We felt like the tables were packed in. It was hard to navigate to the bathroom without feeling like I was invading someone’s space by walking by. I also felt like the noise level was so loud. My husband and I had to lean over the table to talk to one another.

Wow we celebrated our 12 year anniversary and it was everything Dylan our waiter was the best and very helpful and funny. The drinks was bomb and the food was amazing definitely will be back again
