We believe the best steaks come from the best cut and quality. That’s why we get all of our beef fresh from renowned beef purveyors, Allen Brothers. Each cut is corn and grain fed USDA Prime steak that our chef handpicks. Each steak is aged for a minimum of 28 days for a perfectly tender, juicy bite every time.
It is our goal to give you a great meal every time you join us for lunch or dinner.

Service was a disaster, took forever, wrong items and just an over all lack of professionalism. Manager adjusted the check to help with this but still fest like we did not matter. This was our anniversary dinner and have looked forward to this for a while. Not sure we will ever return.
Brought my boyfriend here for his bday. Our server was so attentive and kind, the food was perfection and we will definitely be dining hwre again
Unbelievable food and impeccable service. Very comfortable and intimate ambiance. Excellent drink menu. Highly recommend.
Just as cool and special as I remember from the 1980’s! We left Dallas for a few years and returned during Covid when unfortunately Dakota’s was closed. As soon as I noticed it was open, I booked. The place was packed at 6:15 on a Saturday night, the only opening from a week before. Food choices interesting (deviled eggs) and my lamb chops prepared well the first time and didn’t need to send back. No chocolate desserts unfortunately but saved me some calories :-). The seating was a bit cramped but my husband didn’t mind - his chair most affected. Will go back again soon, especially since it’s 4 blocks from our apt and we walked.
Waiter spilled drink and then charged me for replacement
Great experience! Loved the atmosphere, great food and we will definitely be back. The service was great, everything was nice and tidy including the bathrooms. The ambiance put me in an incredibly great mood. I’m glad we chose this place to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary.
We went for our anniversary. It was awesome! Wife had the ribeye and I had the filet. The sauce with the cognac was delicious!
While Dakota's is great, the price point is prohibitive compared to other options like Perry's, Del Frisco's DE, and others.
Something unique to fine dining generally - a lovely, secluded, and large, outdoor dining area. And the food was excellent. The chowder is still the best in the USA, including New England.
So glad to see Dakota's back open after the closure a year and a half ago. The food is as fabulous as we remember. Still one of our favorite restaurants for special occasions.
Great service and food. A little on the noisy side which was distracting
It was great! I had flowers delivered that arrived extremely early. They kept the flowers until we arrived. Very pleasant hosts.
Beautiful setting inside and out. 8:45pm reservations weren’t seated until 9:20. Food was incredible for all courses. Sambuca not included in aperitif selection. Very loud environment not conducive to conversation. All in all a nice dinner out.
My food wasn’t cooked properly my server was very busy and unattentive
Food was great especially the aligot & lobster Mac & Cheese! It was a bit loud but nothing too bad. I loved it.
Our server Melissa helped to make our 7yr anniversary very special!
We were a bit early, but our table was open so we were quickly seated, and new patio looks great!
We had a chat with Brandon the sommelier about Toronto & ice wine that made us fondly recall our proposal at Niagara.
Had our first taste of A5 wagyu, and it didn’t disappoint!! Also got to try the cacio y Pepe with white truffles that just melted in our mouths!!
We appreciated the kitchen’s attempt to make our dessert special with adding a decor piece, but it was Happy Birthday instead of anniversary so it gave us both a great laugh!!!
Thanks so much for a memorable night!!!
Not like the old Dakota's. Menu very short, VERY expensive. Service lacking. If anything the noise is LOUDER than before
Disappointing! We’ve enjoyed dinner at Dakota’s many times over the years. Since the reopening it isn’t quite the same. The noise level alone was so load it made it difficult to have conversation. Service was a bit slow. The bread lady and water gentleman reached across us multi times, even though there was plenty of room to walk around. The wedge salad was very very good. When dinner arrived after a long wait, two of us commented our steaks were Luke warm. The mushroom risotto was by far the best side of the three. We sat with dirty dishes after dinner and waited for dessert menus. We ordered two desserts for the table. Neither were very good. After dinner drinks the espresso martini was like gasoline. They were busy, however certainly not up to prior standards of great food, great drink and great service. By the way, t-shirts, sweatpants and ripped jeans must be the new dress code. Again, I expected better. Overall, disappointing evening. On our way home we discussed if we would go back…at this point I don’t know.
We had an amazing experience at Dakotas. By far the most memorable experience was the outstanding service. I never had to ask for anything and my glass was never half empty. Second the Wagyu Tomahawk was perfect. We sat outside and the waterfall made for the best view.
I was in town for business. Food was amazing and service was excellent. Highly recommend!
So glad this place is back!!! Wonderful experience!
Excellent food and service. Great atmosphere for our anniversary date night.
The food and service were outstanding, I would suggest you get the lavender creme brûlée too because that is out of this world!
Unique location, underground. Deviled eggs were delicious, and the steaks had a very unique rub, good! Definitely will try again!
Nice restaurant the food was excellent when we finally got it.The Waygu beef was superior my scallops perfectly done however we had a6 pm reservation for which we were exactly on time but it took over an hour from the time we ordered for the food to come. Granted the place was full but still an hour is to long to wait. It is awfully noisy also hard to hear my date or people next to us.Again the food was excellent so I give them full credit there.
I'm not a big steak eater but as a Texas for over 50 years, I familiar with steak. With out a doubt, the 14oz. New York strip I had at Dakota's the evening of 10/09/21 was the absolute best steak I have ever consumed. The charred broccolini was a bit undercooked I think and the crispy calamari could have been a bit more crispier. The lavender crème brulee was excellent. But the streak was divine.
This was possibly the service for an upscale restaurant I have had. We arrived on time to be seated an hour later. When following up with the host and management at the front, the level of rudeness was extreme. The general manager made comments about how we need to learn how to do math when confirming our count. When seated an hour later, the manager yelled out at the middle of the restaurant, “this lady can’t wait 20 minutes to be seated” so everyone around us could here. We were seated at a very uncomfortable table at that point where wait staff was bumping into our chairs. We specifically went for the beef Wellington, and they told us when we sat that they were completely out. A couple that was seated a few moments before us, has ordered a beef Wellington and we could blatantly see it. It was the worst dining experience I have ever had.
Amazing service I have no complaints and the host is one hell of a guy
This was our first time visiting Dakotas and we were absolutely impressed this is definitely going to make our short list of favorites
Wow! Wow! Wow! Dakotas just reopened after shutting down during Covid and now it’s better than ever!! Amazing experience. Food was A+++++. Drinks and wine list were equally fantastic !!! Don’t miss this place!
It was amazing!
A wonderful experience all around! Cannot wait to go back
Dakota's is back with a bang! Service was impeccable. Arrive 45 minutes early for our reservation (we just wanted to have a drink at the bar first), and host(s) were excellent. Advised us that we welcome to have our drink, and just let them know when we were ready for our table.
Bar crew operated like a well-oiled machine, keeping everyone at the bar lubricated as well as cranked out the drinks for the tables.
Once seated, we were treated like royalty by the entire staff, and a manager also came by to check on how we were doing.
Steaks came out prefectly, Goat Cheese starter was amazing, and overall the entire meal was very good.
Will be returning often!
Great atmosphere and they made our anniversary dinner there a great experience!
Food and service were awesome!!!!
My first time to Dakota's Steakhouse and was very impressed with everything. Pricey but worth every penny. The host greeted me with a great attitude and was very complementary of my date and I. Our waitress was also in a great mood and enjoyed helping us to decide on somethings on the menu. She did a great job taking care of our needs. I'm sorry I can't remember their names, but both were outstanding. Most definitely will be going back.
Excellent service and food. Little loud- hard to hear our party of 6 seated at a round table. Love this place though and will definitely be back!
