Sit back and take in the many decorative nuances that make Dakota's still one of the most romantic spots in Dallas. Outside the restaurant, the multi-level waterfall, draping foliage and black granite patio bar make dining outdoors a delight. Inside the restaurant, the New Orleans lamps and imported marble floors neatly package the classic theme.

Wonderful atmosphere. The dry aged ribeye was delicious. A unique dining experience.
Food was good, but not outstanding. The service was very good! The seating was quite cramped and uncomfortable. We were seated in a cramped corner against a pillar. It seems that they were trying to stuff too may seats into a small space.
Great ambiance, amazing food and service!! Enjoyed the atmosphere
The food was great for the most part. Steak was overly salted but cooked properly medium as requested. Valentines night was packed. I feel our server must have been a bit green as she relieved the table of food without asking and brought the incorrect wine to the table. I will be the first to admit I hate dining out on Valentines day so my opinion may be a bit biased. But the service was clearly subpar when spending this kind of money for a meal. If I try again it will not be on a special occasion.
Good date night spot. Been going for 11 years and the prices have gone up but the service is top notch.
The steak and service were excellent. The steak is one of the better steaks I have had in the greater Dallas area, and I highly recommend it. We have eaten in many of the better steak houses in the Dallas area, and this restaurant is in the top three, which is saying something given the number of vaunted steak houses.
The lobster was a little underdone, and when they cooked it more it was overdone, so I cannot recommend getting the lobster, but given all the menu choices there are plenty of other options.
I will definitely eat at this restaurant again.
Excellent food and ambiance!!
We went on Valentine's day so it was a bit more crowded than usual. Service was excellent and our steaks were cooked perfectly! Will definitely be back here again next time we visit Dallas!
The filet mignon was not cooked as requested. The salmon was also undercooked.
We reserved Terrace seating, but got seated against a wall 1.5' from table left & right of us. Was not impressed with the food for an Elite Steakhouse. Caesar Salad was bland (no flavor in the dressing and the croutons were so hard, neither if us could eat one). The potatoes were great. Good recipe and tasteful. The steak was ok, but not $49 worth. I've had better steaks @ Texas Roadhouse & Saltgrass. Sorry to be a downer, but I was really looking forward to dining there for the first time and walked away very disappointed.
Great atmosphere with outstanding food and service!
Special place to bring that special someone in your life.
Awesome food, atmosphere and service. Highly recommend! Chef special was a great value, and the hamburger was the best I have ever had!
The food is always great! On this day it was so loud. Maybe because it was a large party there but I had to scoot so close to my husband to hear him talk.
Loved it food was great loved the ambiance Ill definitely be back!
Our waiter, Ephron, was the best!
Very personable and efficient.
Amazing food with an amazing atmosphere. Would recommend this place to all my friends.
Overall very accommodating and a good dinner. My salmon was great!
Had reservations for 8:00, we got there early and was quickly seated, on the patio. Excellent service and food was perfection.
Amazing time went for my 30th
The food and experience at Dakota's was wonderful as always!! They never fail to impress.
Great food and service, but a little too noisy for a business dinner with an important client.
The sautéed spinach was very bland. The salmon and cauliflower was also very bland and not a very creative use of flavors.
For the price I expected a more creative and enjoyable food display and taste.
We sat inside and it was very loud and noisy and we could hardly hear each other speak due to noise from the bar.
We will not return here again.
Disappointed because it was so much better the last time we came here years ago.
Food seriously underperformed. Having a line of grissle through my ribeye is disappointing. Took a few minutes for us to be waited on to only having 6 tables total, we did get water right away.
Went for my sons birthday! Great atmosphere and the food was amazing!
They best birthday dinner! Food was so delicious! Can’t wait to visit again in the future!
Great food and terrific service. Lovely and fun location.
It was ok, the waiter Mathew, outstanding, the table was good, a little bit noisy, i had come before and will probably return
Every bite of food was exquisite and the setting was unique and lively! You won’t be disappointed!
The food was great but a little expensive.
The sides are large enough to feed two people and when they ask if you would like a salad or chowder just know that it is not included. It’s a separate charge in fact everything on the menu is a la carte except maybe the daily special.
The atmosphere was very elegant, dim lighting, candles, live piano player and lit up waterfall outside.
We had a large party reservation of 12. We got there at 7:30 PM and didn’t leave until after 10.
The waiter was pleasant and made an attempt to remember everyone’s names but the service was a little slow but possibly just because we had a large party.
Honestly, was disappointed in tonight’s dinner. I was expecting a top notch TX steak house experience and it just didn’t live up to it. The service was average, mainly it was slow and inattentive. The food was average. Most steaks were over cooked, and many were tough. These steaks were not prime. Not sure I’ll be back anytime soon for the price
I've gone a number of times for lunch and the food is normally good. Decided to take my parents for dinner. I was not pleased with the food at all. My steak was not cooked as requested. The spinach was not seasoned. My father thought the salmon was ok, but not great. Often, I felt as though the waiter forgot about us. I'll more than likely return for lunch, but not dinner.
Took my wife here for our 25th anniversary and her 50th birthday. Been a while since we were here last as I thought the patio area was not previously enclosed. Our server Manny was very helpful and knowledgeable and made good suggestions that we ended up taking. Glad we split the surf & turf as that left room for the sides of roasted corn and potatoes au gratin. Everything turned out great. We will have to come back soon.
Just an incredible experience. From outstanding cocktails to expert wine advice from our waiter to being completely accommodating to our requests for a family style sharing of practically everything. We couldn’t have had a better meal and it goes without saying the steaks were out of the world good.
The steak was very good. Very tasteful. Lobster Mac was good also.
It’s funny. I had a reservation for 8:30, and called to notify that we were running 10 minutes late. We arrive at 8:40 and they were setting up our table for 15 minutes. We were standing by the door, a group of 5 well dressed women in heels, for 15 minutes with a SCHEDULED reservation and management lying to my face that our table was ready at 8:45. I personally went to the manager myself, lying to my face again, that our table was ready but he immediately took us there. I had this inkling that no one was going to seat us until we requested to be sat which was what happened. They tried to rectify the situation with complementary champagne but the discrimination was loud and clear.
