   Fantastic experience for the tasting menu. Well versed staff, painstakingly prepared authentic food, delicate flavors yet rich experience. Don’t miss it.

   One of the best dining experiences I've ever had! I've been a picky eater from childhood but thanks to travel, my palate has matured. However, a tasting menu can still be challenging. I must say that every dish was a surprising burst of flavors that I couldn't have imagined putting together! Thanks to this time at Dakar Nola, I've added Senegal to my travel list! I applaud Chef Serigne, Effie, the Knitting Bartender and the entire staff for making this meal and experience one that I'll not soon forget!

   This is the third year in a row we have eaten at Dakar on our annual New Orleans trip with friends. It is the highlight of the trip. It is a dining event.

   The most unique restaurant we go to on New Orleans on our annual trip here. The food is always amazing. We especially like the intimacy of the small space- it can accommodate approximately 30 people- that makes for a quieter dining experience and interaction with the staff and chef.

   Dakar Nola is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere ever. The food is fabulous - the tastes, textures, and presentation are all excellent. Further, the creativity means there are combinations here you have never had before, but will want again. The atmosphere is friendly, open, and gracious, as are the staff, and the service is excellent. You notice little things like plated dishes all brought to a table of six at once by three servers. The first time I was at Dakar Nola they did not yet have a liquor license but there is now a full bar and a delightful and creative wine pairing, which I recommend as well.

   I ate at the communal table, and that was a mistake unfortunately. The food was great! The Last Meal dish especially. The guests I was seated with were...unenthused by the food, complaining, and bringing a bummer vibe to what otherwise would have been an awesome meal. Reccommend going, but not as a communal table diner!

   This was my 2nd time visiting Dakar and it’s always a thoughtful and intentional menu! They were super accommodating to us with having special dietary and physical needs/restrictions and sought to understand what the need was while creating a plan to solve it. The combination of flavors and homage to New Orleans cuisine culture while keeping the essence of the Senegalese tradition is what makes this an unforgettable experience. Would definitely recommend to all!

    Small plate tasting menu but felt nice and satisfied at the end. Very interesting blend of Senegalese and southern U.S. and Louisiana cuisine helping to show some of the West African influence in American cooking. Great flavors, creative takes on classic dishes, and wonderful service. It was also a nicely spaced-out meal over about 2 hours so we never felt rushed.
