Everything about our dinner was spot on. The food, the service, etc. The only small complaint is that the charges for alcohol are getting more like Miami and not Tallahassee.

Fantastic dinner and great service. Relaxed atmosphere. Met friends for dinner; everyone ordered something different and everyone loved it. Great from appetizers to dessert.

The past four years my fiancé and I have made Cypress our birthday dinner tradition, we also go for other occasions. This year we contemplated trying one of the many new restaurants in the area, however, we decided to stick to our tradition because it’s always been a special treat for us. However, this past time I was a bit disappointed and truthfully wish we had tried one of those new restaurants. Typically Cypress makes birthday celebrations special but this time they failed to recognize though I made note of it on the reservation — it’s a small mishap but again this is what makes dining there for birthdays extra special. Also, the service was a bit subpar compared to what is normally is. As always, the food was superb, just wish the overall experience was on the same level.

My husband and I had a lovely time at Cypress for his birthday dinner. This was our first time at the restaurant and we were very surprised at how spacious it was inside. We were immediately greeted and shown to our table which was decorated with confetti! A lovely little gesture to start our evening. Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. She was attentive but didn't hover, which we really appreciate. She suggested a few cocktails off the drink menu which turned out to be great. The food was very good. We started with the Grouper Cheeks and Pan Fried Quail "little dishes". The grouper cheeks were tender and fried perfectly. The quail was cooked equally as well and came on a tasty bed of root vegetables with a delicious glaze or sauce. I will say that while the grouper was a nice size portion, the quail was definitely a little "little dish". For our entrees, my husband ordered the grouper paella and I tried the hanger steak. We were both very happy with the cook on our fish and steak (perfect medium) and the overall dishes. However, they were jussst toeing the line of being oversalted. If 5 is perfectly seasoned and 10 is oversalted, our entrees were maybe a 7 (perhaps an 8 for his fish). We both much prefer aggressively seasoned food over bland food and we still enjoyed our meals, so we didn't see a reason to complain. In all, we had a lovely time for our first visit. Next time, we will try to save room for dessert!

Quiet, elegant and welcoming. Outstanding service by our attendant. Highly suggest the duck! The Cote D'Rhone GSM wine bottle, nice pairing and very good value. Don't forget the dessert sampler with three small cakes and a paired ice cream...but really for three or four at the table...you'll have just enough room for a bit after a memorable and delicious duck breast dinner. Happy dining...this place is all elegance (you may wear your jeans). Kudos to the Chef for all the allergy accommodations!

We went on Valentine's day and had the 5 course prix fix. We had cocktails at the bar which are always exciting and tasty. The food was amazing. All 5 courses were perfectly prepared and delicious.
