   The food was amazing. They brought out the complimentary cornbread. The only weird thing was it was hot at the bottom but cold on top. But it was good so no complaint. My mom ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and fries okra and I ordered the Lamb chops with collard greens and Mac and cheese. The portion of the food was very large so you will get your money worth. Everything tasted great but that Mac and cheese was extraordinarily delicious. I took off a point for the service only because our waiter didn’t write our order down. He took it mentally like he would remember it but when it was brought out they gave me dirty rice instead of the max and cheese. Also he took forever to bring out our drinks which was only unsweetened Tea and Raspberry Tea. But I will return as I like the vibe and looking forward to trying other food items on the menu.

   Everything was good.. my guests enjoyed it and the mimosas was on point as well.. waiter was very pleasant

   We enjoyed ourselves! We got full off of our appetizers. Crawfish Egg Rolls, Deviled Eggs with Fried Shrimp, Salmon Bites, Spinach Artichoke Dip & Crab Cakes. Ohhhhhhh and that Cornbread is heavenly! My Strawberry Daiquiri was small but carried a big punch. We’re making plans to go back to order actual entrees.

   The drinks were great and the food was good. The chicken and waffles were mandioca but the grits are awesome. This was the third time I have been and the customer service was great!! I would definitely eat there again so I can try more dishes.

   They were short staff and we had to wait while others that came in after us were seen In sections that had staff. I had to request for a waiter or waitress and ended up finding out that our waitress or waiter had already left for the day.

   From the service, to the food, to the drinks, everything was outstanding. I will definitely return when I visit Houston, again. I couldn’t stop talking about it.

   My first few experiences at Cutten were during the week and great. On Sundays the service is inconsistent. I think they adequate staff to accommodate the Sunday/Brunch crowd.

    I went to Cutten Kitchen 2/23/25. We had a reservation at 11am. It was quiet and not many people at the restaurant. It took forever for a waiter to come and take a beverage order. I kept making eye contact with waiters but no one came until one girl finally walked over and asked had we been serviced. The waiter took our order for drinks and that took forever because they only had one bartender. All drinks came after 30-45 minutes but we were still missing one. Then we ordered food after another 45 minutes and we finally got our food except for one meal missing. I came back to Cutten Kitchen 3/2/25, we had a reservation at 1pm. They mentioned the reservation was not ready and it would be a wait. So I sat at tall table by the bar, again it took a while for the waiter to come and service it. We finally placed a drink order after a hour and a food order after another hour. Again the food was cold and one of my guest never received the other appetizer ordered. While there I watched 2 employees walk out of the restaurant saying that the quiet. One of them being a hostess and she was crying. I always try to support black owned businesses but this one ain't it. The food I good but they need to get it together. Hire more people and treat them well. Any restaurant open on a Sunday and serves food, knows that you need all hands on deck for Sunday Funday.
