Custom House Pub & Restaurant
Worst ever open table restaurant. Ibis owned, not independent as billed, roast beef doorsteps tough as old boots
Excellent customer service. Excellent food. Got held up in traffic and missed booking but they keep table for us.
It was freezing cold. I had to send my rack of ribs back as so tough and couldn't even eat with a steak knife. When i complained and ordered something else they still charged me even though my friend was finished before i got mine. No offer of a discount or free drink or desert!
Wrong starter initially Online description of venue was local independent pub with locally sourced food Pub was part of Ibis hotel, staff were wearing Ibis uniforms Food appeared to come from Brake Brothers
Poor food porr service not received what I ordered. Then took another 25mins to get what I did order and wasn't good food
The service was absolutely applauling and the lady behind the bar was the most unhelpful person I have ever met! There was a long delay for 1 out of the 3 meals we ordered and we felt very uncomfortable because we had to constantly chase for items like cuterly and napkins. It was early on a Saturday night and they had ran out of several zitems on the menu and to top it off they had the nerve to charge us 12% service charge 😡
The best beef pie I have ever eating, The beef was so tender it just melted in your mouth.
Food was ok, staff could do with smiling, surcharge on food! who ever took the photos for the website needs commending
We were a large group but we managed to get a quiet corner from the bar which was nice. There’s no table service which is fine. The staff were very friendly and paid attention to their customers. The food was okay. The atmosphere was what you expect from a pub which is nice.
Unfortunately a very tough steak, not great! The management/chef did try to resolve
Food was lovely. We had a selection of three courses as there were five of us. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
We will definitely return.
I am only rating open table. I put in custom house in Avila Beach, Ca and the custom house popped up but I didn’t realize it was in London?! That’s a bit farther than we wanted to go?!? I didn’t notice that and went to Avila and was bummed they had no reservation because they don’t use open table?! Then I rechecked the email confirmation and found out that it was a London location!!
Nice and quiet, served quickly. Good staff and food was as expected for pub grub, no complaints.
The staff Arran and Valentin were so friendly . We were made to feel very welcome.
The food was very good and there was great beer.
If I had to comment , I would suggest an upgrade to the wine sold by the glass
