This place just keeps getting better. Excellent food and service (Matt) once again. Pork tenderloin was the best ever and the flounder wasn’t far behind.
This restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and is clean and not cluttered so the feel is pretty nice. The decor was actually the same as it was over 5 years ago when we dined there with an exception of one picture that had been changed. The wait staff was exceptional for us and it was my son's birthday so that was a big plus! Our waiter was on top of service and very polite. They even accommodated an appetizer that wasn't on the current menu but since my son worked their in years past, he knew they made it. The issue comes with the awkwardness of having to leave the restaurant to use the restroom as it's a shared bathroom with the building or so it felt that way. And the biggest reason I can't give this place a 5 star rating is the food...the food was average at best and extremely high priced. Our bill was $277.00 before tip for appetizers, entrees and 2 carafes of their special Sangria and if it had not been for my son wanting to celebrate his birthday there, we would have chosen one of many other restaurants that we know the value would have been there for the food and the food would have been excellent.
The food was excellent and well priced. The best part was the very attentive wait staff and no hassle parking. Would highly recommend.
Food was very good. For the price, service should have been more attentive. Plates not cleared and water not replenished in a timely manner. Waiter was somewhat aloof and not very personable.

New year’s eve
Reservations were at 7 o’clock on New Year’s Eve. Our table was ready when we arrived We felt as though we were being rushed to order. The servings were small and of average quality The noise level was extremely high and it was almost impossible to have a conversation. The wait staff was average at best . The menu was a fixed price or could be purchased individually. When you added up the prices in each category the total was significantly less than the fixed price. When the bill came and the waiter had put in the fixed price I asked him why it was cheaper to order ala carte. He could not give me a reason so I asked him to redo the bill. There was a $30 difference for the table of four. IWant to believe that this was just a mistake on the part of management in their math but who knows?
We dined at Cunningham’s for New Year’s Eve dinner. The restaurant is beautiful. The menu was fixed for the holiday dinner. The appetizers were ok/good- crab cake and shrimp cocktail. Our main course was mediocre at best. We ordered fillets (med/rare and medium) served with potatoes. Our steaks were not a good quality/cut of meat- mine looked like a rounded end cut off of some type of beef, but certainly not a quality fillet. The plate was filled with potatoes and NO vegetable such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, or asparagus....nothing green!!!! Our desserts were delicious- flourless chocolate cake and crème brûlée. The atmosphere was festive and and waiter was great, but I do not think the entree was up to par with the high end dining experience. Maybe it was just due to a busy holiday night, or the fixed menu, or maybe we just made a poor choice; however, we were disappointed in the quality of the food and will not return.

Celebrating New Years Ever
We went early on New Year's Eve and found the service staff and culinary team was well-prepared for the crowd. Our server, John Michael was terrific.
We are long time patrons of Cunningham’s and dined there on New Years Eve, which happens to be my husbands birthday. I made a reservation and called to make sure they would have a table prepared with a high chair and something special for the birthday. I was told of course these would be accommodated. Neither was prepared on arrival nor was there ever acknowledgement of the birthday. We were seated in the bar area despite our reservation - we expected a white table cloth experience. To add insult to injury, I was served two glasses or wine that were both corned, my husbands drink had a bug in it and our food was flavorless. For the price of the meal, the overall experience was highly disappointing.
Drinks and food were excellent. The price seems to continuously go up and I hope it reflects their staff getting paid more. It is a very nice menu and this time everything was deliciously prepared. I had the Brussels sprouts appetizer (which we shared), the pastrami rubbed tuna steak, the bread pudding and 2 cocktails. In 4 we had 5 cocktails and 2 beers, 3 appetizers, 4 entrees and 4 desserts for about $72/pp without tip.
Lovely Holiday meal. Service was friendly and professional. The food was delicious. The Brussels sprouts began the meal on a high note. Varied menu allows for those who want more casual fare while others can have a special gourmet entree. Beautiful setting.
We had a post-concert dinner reservation very late, about 10:15 PM. Although we were practically the only diners in the restaurant, we were treated very well by our server, Eric. He was extremely attentive, kind, professional, and saw to our every need. The food was excellent, and the service was great. We love Cunningham’s!
It took half an hour for someone to take our drink order. Once that happened, things picked up. Food was very good.

Our service was at best mediocre. The waiter we had was not very attentive until near the end when he knew it was time for us to tip him. He seems really annoy to provide good service to us, yet very talkative and engaging with all the other guests who were not the same race. The Brussels sprouts were delicious and the other dinner items we had were just ok.

Awesome restaurant! Superior wait staff. Very accommodating with dietary restrictions. Decor is very nice. Food was delicious. Will visit again without hesitation.

I enjoyed my dinner at Cunningham's but the reviews were mixed among the 6 of us that evening. We had a pizza as an appetizer - terrific - as well as a dish of fries. They must really try to do something about the presentation of the fries so that they stay crisp when on the table. (the fries were marketed as boardwalk fries, which they were not, and they came out limp and not crispy). For entrees, I had a wonderful scallop dish, and my friend who had the burger said it was delicious, as was the pork chop. The shrimp and grits lacked a lot of flavor, so that was not a hit.
I like servers to be a little more attentive and cheerful; ours was not. But, all in all, I would definitely return. I would love a pizza and burger at the bar.
Noisy. Why pay white table cloth prices and not get a white table cloth! There a disparity in atmosphere between rooms which not highlighted when I made the reservation. There are too many restaurants in area to make this restaurant a place to revisit. Nothing special here. Box checked off - moving on.

Great place for any occasion but they really took care of us on our anniversary dinner. Great meal and waiter. Made for a special night and gave us an entire loaf of delicious bread as we left. We will be back.
Was not impressed with the food this time around. It was unusual. My shrimp and grits were very blah. My son had the nitro infused pork and said it was amazing. My husband and other son had the squid ink linguine and they were alright. The sauce was not very flavorful and it would have needed a little more seafood to go with it. The description of the dish was confusing "tagliatelle with crab and squid ink" sounded like the sauce would have been with squid ink, but it was actually the tagliatelle that were made with it. No biggie, just not clear. The drinks, as always, were amazing, even my non-alcoholic mix. The final cost of the meal was expensive for what we got, unfortunately. First time we've been disappointed. Hopefully only a glitch.

Went here for a mid-week date and not only did the restaurant deliver with great atmosphere, but or waiter (John-Michael) did too. He had great suggestions, awesome service, and added some extras to the night. I will absolutely return and suggest anyone try this place out.

We enjoyed a delicious fall salad and an adventurous pairing of BBQ Octopus and egg salad for apps. Both were a hit. Our main courses were equally satisfying. We’ll be back!
