About this restaurant

Cullen's specializes in craft cocktails, whiskey and bold American fare. The restaurant's mint julep with Buffalo Trace bourbon is almost too good to be true. Try out batches from a variety of different distilleries with one of Cullen's whiskey flights. Dishes at Cullen's, such as charred salmon, pepper-crusted New York strip steak and bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin are cooked to perfection and come with sides like blue corn grits or risotto. The caramel apple bread pudding is a rich dessert. The restaurant's cheese and charcuterie board is a fun starter and a great way to kick off a night of leisurely drinking. Cullen's also has a separate bar area with half-priced appetizers during happy hour.

    This was a suggestion by a colleague as a place to meet for a business dinner. The atmosphere was perfect for conducting a business dinner, especially on a weeknight. The area was large and they did not seat tables in a cluster so we did not have any problems talking discretely to each other at the table. The food was fabulous. Very sophisticated menu and not over priced for the quality. Would definitely recommend to others and be visiting again.

    My husband and I were in the Houston area visiting family. We came across Cullen's and were extremely pleased. We ended up eating at this restaurant each afternoon for lunch while in town. The food was of excellent quality. The service was wonderful and the ambiance is clearly fit for a night out for dinner and drinks. The bar area is upscale and enticing. They also have facilities for large groups and gatherings. We have already decided we will have dinner at this restaurant on our next visit to town.

    Was here for a business meeting. Sadly to say, the quality of the food is very mediocre to poor. The upkeep of the restaurant was failing.

    When we got there we were told we didn't have a reservation and it was shown to the person in front that we did. We had to sit and wait for quite some time for some unknown reason, and we did have a drink while waiting. Some of our party was late arriving but that shouldn't have been the issue. We still had to wait for a young lady from the bar offered to take us on a tour of your establishment, which was a great thing for her to do and didn't have too. She was very sweet and we wished we got her name. Another thing is that the one waitress we had, seemed a bit overwhelmed at the large table of people she had to attend too. There should have been at least two the whole time, not just towards the latter part. Food took an extreme amount of time to get our food, approximately 45 mins. It was close to 10:15pm before we finally got our dessert. Again, a total of over 4 hours was completely uncalled for! Most of us were on time and the reservation should have been there waiting for us.

    Took the family to celebrate my wife's birthday. They placed the nine of us at a huge round table that made conversation difficult. In spite of a sparse crowd, the service/food were glacially slow. Took about two and a half hours to get the meal completed. The "jazz" brunch was nothing more than listening to recorded music. Would not recommend.

    After the disaster we experienced last time, I was aprehensive about returning, expecially with a group. However, the experience - food and service were all good. Glad to see things are back on track.

    Excellent dinner. The bacon wrapped tenderloin was so moist and tasted so good. Great service and great food.

    We were disappointed in the service and also a little disappointed with food as was not prepared correctly and had to return to kitchen. I have been here several times and this was the poorest I have service and food I have ever received.
