Culinary Dropout is our favorite restaurant in Austin. In fact, we go out of our way when we are anywhere near Austin to stop in for a meal. The food is outstanding! No gross, exotic combinations of spices, sauces, etc. that you get at many "up-and-coming" restaurants today, just downright good food that is excellent every time we are there. We are waiting for the day when they bring their world class meatloaf back. In the meantime, we have adopted the fried chicken as one of our new favorites. And, let me mention the wonderful assortment of wait staff and other employees who treat you like royalty every time you come in. We can't thank you enough! Especially those of you who are now our friends. Hats off to your caring style and your listening ears and hearts! Don't pass this place up! Believe us, the wait is worth it if you can't get a reservation.

Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. My only complaint is that the drinks were really pricey and there was a lot of ice in a very small glass. Otherwise, I’d highly recommend giving them a try!

I’ve been here before and I have always had a pretty good experience. This time was disappointing. It was my daughter’s 21st birthday dinner. Our waitress was nice. She came over pretty quickly when we got seated. After that everything took forever. 20-30 minutes to get our first beers…yes just beer. 45 minutes to an hour to get our food and it wasn’t even hot. I will go back for another shot at some point. Hopefully it’s better.

Fantastic service and food! Service was definitely A+++ It was a Friday night with live music so it was a bit loud but definitely a great experience!

This place always pleasantly surprises me. I typically do not like chain restaurants but this one is growing on me. The service is consistent and top notch. The food is creative and prepared well. It is a large space so noise levels and ambiance can vary but it has never been bothersome. I have no hesitation in recommending them.
