Best Italian restaurant in the South Bay.
The grilled octopus is amazing! So were the scallops and sea bass.
This is a very attractive restaurant. The decor was above what you normally find in restaurants these days - in line with a "fine dining" experience. The service was excellent. We ordered items that were recommended by the staff and started with octopus which was priced over $25 and was very heavy on the salt. Paella was recommended for the main course which did have ample seafood but was in a spicy broth with only a small amount of rice.
John and Hector are always very attentive every time we visit! We were there to celebrate my dads birthday and everything was outstanding!
Service, food and location were a 10/10. We had such a great time here and can’t wait to come back!
Been here many tim
They have remodeled and the venue is lovely. Nice outdoor seating as well. I had grilled scallops, delicious.
Dinner on the patio was wonderful last night! The chicken Marsala was exceptional, as was the fish of the day and pasta. The wine list could offer some additional cabs but the Caymus Cab was delicious and nicely decanted for us. The host was very nice and the waitstaff was friendly and helpful. This is our new favorite italian restaurants. We will return again soon.
Very nice back yard for dining. The service is excellent. The food is over priced comparing to other nearby region. The food quality is good but not worth the price. I had better food quality with cheaper prices. However, the dining experience is excellent. My Sea Bass was very hard to chew. Salad was excellent. Highly recommend their salad.
Had to ask for drinks refills, had to ask for bread, candle was not lit, entree took a bit longer than it should have.
Attentive service in a beautiful setting. Impressive cocktails and very tasty food.
An elegant dining room in a strip mall? Attractive outdoor dining in a commercial zone? Fine Italian food, well prepared for a weekend mid-afternoon meal? Diversified and well chosen wine list? Yes indeed - a wonderful find we will definitely be back!
Outdoor seating was great but service need to improve !
This was our second time dining at Cucina. We had such a great experience the first time that we decided to come back to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately, our experience this time was not as good. The food was good as before but service was terrible - we had to wait for a long time after we sat down to have someone take our order even for drinks. Then our waiter forgot one person's order until we reminded them.
The biggest fiasco was that we had dropped off a cake for the birthday celebration and had specifically asked that they bring it out at the end as a surprise. We had also called in advance to ensure that they can do this AND had ensured that a note was made when the cake was dropped off. Yet, the cake was never brought out and we had to ask for it after dinner was done. Very disappointing especially after so much effort had been put into ensuring this would happen.
I wish I could provide a better review because Cucina had been on our top choices list but this recent experience has left us with a bad memory.
we had the entire family there for our anniversary. wonderful!
After deciding dinner in SF was going to be impossible with a manual wheelchair, my family simply looked at me and said “Cucina?” And I immediately booked my reservation!
I always ask for John or Mario but I can say with confidence all the servers are incredible and attentive. They were short-staffed today and being a regular, I sort of observed everyone on the team and just sat IN AWE of how hard they worked but more importantly, how they worked together! The whole place was hopping and I overheard several people around me complimenting the amazing food and smiled! I love this place!
Natasha rocked the bar as always, Eduardo slayyyyyed managing front of house and Hector and John were, as always out of this world.
We were SO tired and just wanted our comfort food before heading home and Cucina did not disappoint. The mushroom ravioli, saffron sea bass and ahi tuna were so so delicious. My son always gets the tortellini and it is still the only time he has cleaned his plate at a restaurant in his 19 years on earth. It’s so so good!
Thanks so much for taking care of us last minute and so well. We were beat and you all still treated us like royalty. This place will forever be our go-to!
The food is too expensive and the waiter is arrogant. Overall experience is poor.
Exceptional service, food, ambiance. All 5/5. Best salads of any restaurant, pasta is fantastic, service staff is amazing
Are in a very inviting outdoor courtyard. Food and service were both excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Hector and Eduardo were very welcoming and professional. They represented the restaurant very well, and I look forward to coming back again. Thanks!
Service could have been better. They weren’t busy. I didn’t get polenta with my short ribs rather, mashed potatoes.
Made a last minute res on Open Table and they required a credit card, we get there and it's half empty. Out of the burrata salad at 7:30pm, that was disappointing. But the Caesar, beet and Mediterranean salads were good. What wasn't good was the service. Our waiter couldn't be less attentive. We were 4 people, he took just 2 of our drink orders and left. Couldn't get his attention again, so my friend went up to the bar to ask the young lady there for help. She was helpful. My friend had to go up twice to ask for attention for our table. She said if we weren't dining with them, she would have left. Our waiter never asked if we wanted another drink or if our meal was ok. He simply never came back and when he did cime into the dining room his back was toward us. Nevwr turned around.. The salmon was good, angel hair ok but my husband ordered the vongole and asked for it in a cream sauce rather than a broth, the waiter assured us that would be fine, it came in a broth. The waiter was gone 98% of the time we were there, never saw anything like it. If he was too busy with outside tables he never showed any any attention or explanation. When you're spending $350 on dinner, or even any meal out, service can make or break the experience. We were with great friends so enjoyed ourselves no matter what but it was disappointing and unfortunate. Hector the busboy was wonderful. We left a tip with him and the young lady behind the bar in mind. A manager came over at the end of the meal and asked if we enjoyed our meal and we told him about the utter lack of service from our waiter. He offered a round of drinks..that was nice but we left after paying almost $400 for a bill that I think charged for those 'comped' drinks.
Throughly enjoyed our dinner in this hidden gem by Shoreline Theater in Mt.View. Everything from decor to craft coattails were on point. We had the octopus appetizer, duck confit pasta, and the mushroom ravioli, all three were fantastic. We will certainly be coming back.
Sever completely muffed our order -- forgot appetizer, only got 2 of 3 entrees correct. Had to wait while my party ate. I reserved this as a birthday (for my wife) and no acknowledgment. Food & ambience were fine but this was not money well spent. I will not be back.
We had a phenomenal time at Cucina Venti! I have never tried this restaurant before but it was one of the few places open on the 4th of July, and we decided to give it a go.
The pleasant experience started when I had to add an additional member to our party and push the time of our reservation to a little later than anticipated. The individual who answered the phone was a delight and the adjustment was as easy as ever! When our party arrived, we had a beautiful outdoor seating arrangement under the gazebo, where one of the workers put up another umbrella to block the hot sun. How kind! The ambiance was beautiful, peaceful, and serene. The food was delicious, filling, and beautifully presented. An innocent mistake was made as our hostess thought it was a birthday celebration — she came to our table with a slice of tiramisu and a lit birthday candle. Even though we stated it was no ones birthday and must have been a mix up with another table, she let us keep and enjoy the dessert anyway!
Overall: wonderful and kind staff, great food, lovely ambiance, and an extremely pleasant experience! Would definitely come again! Rated overall as 11/10, highly recommend! Thank you so much!
Pappadelle and lasagne were to die for. Very classy restaurant--had no idea about this restaurant and went because of the 1000 points on the time we wanted. Can't wait to come back.
It was super good
Had a great dinner for 4 last night at Cuicina Venti! They had a nice list of craft cocktails and a menu that had something for everyone. The food was very good and the service just right. It was a quiet night and I’m glad we ate here before Google brings everyone back to the office, it’ll be packed then.
Always phenomenal. This is my absolute favorite restaurant.
Super cool place outside
Good, professional service. Food was properly prepared. We will visit this restaurant again.
Dined at Cucina Venti on a weekend. Although it was pretty busy, they managed to seat us promptly. Food was delicious and everyone was super welcoming. Hector, the second waiter, is one of the nicest staff members I've ever encountered.
I definitely recommend and definitely will be back. Thank you for everything!
We were pleasantly surprised when we went there. The patio was awesome - food was excellent. We were served by Flavio, who was superb.
My friend and I had a fantastic lunch today on the beautiful outdoor patio. We split a shrimp salad and mushroom flatbread. Both were delicious! Our server was very considerate and helpful and we had a lovely time!
Tastes good and the server is very attentive. The complimentary bread tastes really great.
Food was great and the outdoor dining location was very good for Business lunch meetings.
Consistently top-notch food, service and ambience.
Prices higher than we normally pay, but was justified because overall it was a wonderful place and meals/drinks.
