Food and service was excellent, my kids especially loved the food.
What a gorgeous space! The food was outstanding and the service was exceptional. Definitely going to go back.
Excellent service and great food, hidden gem in mountain view
Some of the restaurants we have visited recently showed startup problems after the pandemic closures, with poor service and decreased food quality. Not so Cucina Venti. The food and the service were just superb. What's more, the minor renovation did improve the ambiance. It has become a bit more expensive than we remember from pre-pandemic days, but that is to be expected. We will return frequently.
This is one of my favorite restaurants and decided to take my mom and dad here for Mother’s Day. I was unaware that they had a special Mother’s Day menu. While the food was very good, I thought $95 per person was a bit steep since I wasn’t expecting it. There was no mention of a special menu on their website. The service was very slow, although we loved our waiter, Danny. He was great, but they clearly needed more help on such a busy day.
People brought their dogs in the restaurant to get to the patio outside. I got a kick out of that because I’m a dog person. Adorable! It made up for the expensive meal.
I finally tried the lamb chops. They were excellent.
Have previously had a good experience with Cucina Venti--they have the best octopus! But went for Mother's Day and our table felt ignored. There wasn't any service--had to ask three times for bread, never got water refills, and asked for a bag at the end for our boxes and never got it. We couldn't even tell who our server was since they rarely checked in on us, just for the order and then the check.
We’ve always had a wonderful dining experience at CV. However, our Mother’s day experience was a disappointment! Upon arrival, we were told it was a prefix menu @$95pp. Then we were given a table in a remote corner even though we had requested outdoor seating a week prior to our reservation. The restaurant ran out of soup and dessert after we ordered our choices and we were offered substitutes. Each course took forever- we like some pacing- but this was an ordeal. In all, the food was good- but the experience was a disappointment.
So sad to write this review, because we have been frequent visitors for many many years. However, the service and experience was the most awful. We sat down at 5:50 and did not leave until 9:45.
We were not told how far behind they were until almost 8:15. At which point, tables around us left. We wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, with Covid times, I know people need the income. But wow. I was happy that our bill was cut in half, because this was not a 95$ meal. My mother was disappointed and my aunt, but we made the best of it. My cousin had to leave so didn’t even get her entree. All the entrees came out at different times.
It was a very unforgettable, in not a good way, Mother’s Day.
We got a desert that was not on the fixed-price menu; we asked for it. (Last one!B)
Try the raviolis - fantastic!!
And the apple-pear salad!!
The restaurant, on Mother’s Day, did not advertise that it was
Going to be 3 course tasting menu @ $95 only. With four kids , and “apologies that our restaurants do not accommodate children” this made for a no go for us after driving from Livermore for our reservation.
Luckily we were able to find a great table downtown Mountain View which saved the day.
Great meal at a restaurant that is really doing a great job at managing the difficult circumstances associated with COVID. We had an outside table that felt pretty private despite being in a nondescript industrial area. Road noise was almost non-existent with soft music and the lively, socially distanced conversations of fellow patrons. Food quality and depth of menu exceeded expectations. We would return!
Went there for Mother's Day and the meal was awesome... Fish, pasta, paella were terrific, great recommendations by the server.
Cucina Venti’s ambience and delicious food always hits the spot! Our favorite go to spot for a quiet and intimate dining without going through the hassle of worrying how it’ll turn out. Cucina Venti consistently delivers!
The renovation of this restaurant is absolutely stunning. We sat in the back patio for a birthday celebration and the ambiance was just so perfect with the great tunes playing and the gorgeous setup and of course the sunset at the time. Food was delicious. I had the mediterranean sea bass and we got the calamari and bruschetta for appetizers. Definitely recommend Cucina Venti for either a group get together or a romantic dinner for two.
Food is excellent. We ate inside and it was cold and too windy ( doors all open). Service okay but not great. Ambience nice. Good date restaurant. Would definitely go back!!!
The service was wonderful and the food was better than expected. We enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be going back.
We found the food very good. Service was attentive but not pushy. The restaurant was busy and some of the tables were having a very good time (noisy). We had one appetizer. We each had a salad, entrée and dessert. We ordered a nice bottle of wine and with tip the bill came to $250.00. That seemed a little on the expensive side.
This place is absolutely FANTASTIC! From the minute you enter until the minute you leave, you feel like you’re visiting friends and hanging with family and the food is spectacular!
For a real treat, request John, say hello to Hector and you had BEST get a drink from Natasha!!!!
The only annoying thing about this restaurant is that they required a credit card no. with reservation and it would be $25/person for a cancellation unless more than 24 before dining. They said this was due to much pent up demand for dining out. When we arrived for our 6:30 reservation, however, there was one, yes one, other table occupied. Very few came in afterwards. Seemed chintzy to me. Food is good but wines, even by the glass, are over-priced. $20 for a medium pinot noir, for example.
So glad the indoor dining is back. I love bringing friends and family here! I love the decor and food!
We LOVED the food. The braised short ribs were insanely tender and the flat bread with honey and sausage was perfectly salty and sweet. Our waiter shared information about our wines, including how the different grapes were grown. Also, the inside and back patio are very romantic!
the temperature was freezing; they kept every door open even though it was quite chilly outside. covid19 rules don't require that but that was their excuse. waiter never came and asked us how our food way and my entree was not good at all. we finally told him when we got the bill and he did nothing , like comp our dessert. wasn't impressed.
Booked for outdoor seating but receptionist kept pushing inside even though there are tables outside
The staffs were nice but they need to add more employees and the food was ok and small.
Wonderful food, service & ambiance
We were taken good care of us at lunch!
The food is always excellent and tasteful with just the right amount of details tossed in! The service is attentive, but not too rushed. I’ve never had a bad meal or a bad experience at Cucina Venti!
Outstanding food and service!!
Great food, service, ambiance in the outdoor patio!
Great food, great service - highly recommend and would visit again when in the area!
Great food. Great service. Good ambiance. Highly recommend
Beautiful restaurant!! great food and great service. You have to try the fried zucchini and the Lamb chops. Can’t go wrong with any of the pasta dishes either.
Excellent Italian restaurant. I had a whole branzino
Everything from the way they created an inviting outdoor space to dine to the authentic, excellent Italian food made us want to come back soon. We loved the mushroom flatbread, grilled octopus and spaghetti with clams. This was our first time here and we will definitely be returning.
Another amazing evening! See my earlier review-it still stands!!!
Great service and great food. Will be coming back. Overall, very impressed.
The restaurant's decor and ambiance greatly exceeded my expectations given the location. The owners have taken great care to have a beautiful space in an unexpected location. The food was great, came quickly and the service was also fantastic. The hostess was very helpful with my reservation and really went the extra mile.
I'll definitely be coming back as it's one of the top Italian restaurants in Mountain View! A great place for a meal before or after a movie at Shoreline.
Amazing food, service, and ambiance! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Attentive service, well-prepared food. A bit pricey, but worth it.
