Friendly service. Good food quality. We sat outside as the indoor area seemed a bit loud. But it was not too bad. If outdoor seating was not available we would have been able to handle the indoor noise easily. It is pricy but comparable to similar restaurants in the Bay Area.
Loved the salmon ciabatta sandwich! Excellent, would recommend it.
My team said that the dinner was amazing. They very much appreciated the short distance from the Googleplex to the restaurant, the outside seating opportunity, the meal, service, a real nice place to go.
I've been to Cucina Venti several times, at night and during the day. I particularly enjoy having lunch outside on their pretty patio - the inside is a little dark for daytime to my taste. The food is very good and the service excellent. Excellent choice to dine/have lunch before or after a movie!
Excellent Cuisine! Just delicious! The only thing that was a shame was there was a hair in my husband’s food and all they did was bring him another one, no discount, no comped dessert or wine.....We did not make a fuss, as we are classy people. To be fair, they did quickly bring another hair free dish. We do think that, if there is a hair in someone’s food, some type of compensation should be in order.
When we first pulled up, I was a little disappointed that the restaurant was in a strip-mall. Then, when we walked inside, it was like we were in a different world! Beautiful walnut wood EVERYWHERE and a beautiful garden patio which we enjoyed on a wonderfully warm late afternoon/evening before going to a concert at Shoreline. The food was wonderful and the service was great. The only thing I would complain about would be that the server was a bit over loaded with too many tables to be able to accommodate. Luckily, we weren't in a rush so it was no problem for us but it would have been if we were running late. Delightful overall and such a nice surprise on the decor!!
Early dinner prior to a movie. Service was fabulous and very thoughtful. Delicious food!
Went with my whole family, pre-movie. Loved iT! Great food! Great waiter!
We always feel so special dining here. We have been here 3 times, and it is a favorite! The grilled calamari is fantastic. We order multiple entrees because the flavors are so spectacular. Their scallops and paella are off the hook.
Great atmosphere and good food!
My caprese panini was delicious, as was the calamari appetizer and aioli sauce. The Chilean sauvignon blanc was an excellent pairing.
The service was annoying. I appreciate a discreet server who is there when you need him, not in your face interrupting our conversation 15 times asking you if you need anything!
The food was ok. “Sizzling” shrimps were kind of room temperature. The beets salad was ok. The entrees (scallops and sea bass) were good.
Let’s say the previous experience a few months back was much better.
This was our first visit at Cucina Vinti and we came with the wife and daughter for a Mother's Day dinner. We made the reservation through Open Table and arrived a few minutes early. Had a nice table and our Waiter was Danny. He was friendly and made us feel like old time customers. We started with a few appetizers of the Calamari and Crispy Zucchini Cakes. For Entrees we had the Seafood Paella, Braised Short Ribs and the Grilled Lamb Chops. For Dessert we had the Creme Brulee, Tiramisu and Affogato. Overall the food was outstanding not heavy on the flavoring and portions were good. Perfect without any waste or feeling hungry afterwards. Danny was very attentive to our needs even though there were other parties going on.
Overall a great dining experience and we will definitely be back to try a few of the other menu items.
I enjoy sharing the dining experience and have told others of this restaurant.
Outstanding wine list, great waiter who knew his movies, spectacular Chicken Masala, nice beet sald, cramy mushroom soup
Always good food and quick service.
Went to celebrate 2 work peeps lunch. Food and service was awesome... We had a great time.
Cucina Venti is a little piece of Italy for my family and I. I had a great time and so did both of my children, so much so that both my 14 and 12 year old along with their many friends had their birthday dinner party at Cucina Venti in October & December of 2017 respectively. The service was wonderful, very professional staff, teenage friendly and great food choices. Thank you for giving us a great experience and I will continue to dine at your restaurant.
Muy buena atención y la comida deliciosa
I came here for lunch and it was really good. I came again with my husband for a dinner date since it's near the movie theatre. The service is very good, the server was likeable and the food came quick. There was a good selection of cocktails, wine and beer. We sat on the back patio where there was sun, when it chilled off there were heaters.
The food was not the greatest this time. We had the sizzling shrimp for an app and it was tasteless, even with the hunks of garlic on top. We ate it fairly quick because we were hungry and we felt bad saying anything to the server because he was so nice. The shrimp did not come sizzling either. I am used to the sizzling shrimp at Cascal, full of flavor and comes hot and sizzling.
My husband got the scallops and he enjoyed them, although he did have to add salt. I got the lasagna in a hot cast iron pan with tons of sauce. I'm not sure that much sauce was really needed but it was good anyway. the lasagna was very hot on the edges and tasted great. However, when I got to the middle, the lasagna was cool and the cheese was barely melted. Not heated equally at all, I am wondering if it went into the microwave first?
Overall, I may try again if I am in the area. It is a very clean, well kept establishment with awesome service. However, I would not recommend this place to my friends atm based on my recent experience with the food.
Poor service. Great food.
The ambience was very appealing. The service was really nice and I really appreciate the effort the employees took to make sure that we were having a great time. The receptionist was welcoming and the food was great. I would surely recommend this to my friends. The only downside was the price.
Food was good, service was very good and it has a cozy, elegant ambiance, but it was way overpriced for the quality and portions. I didn't expect to leave hungry after paying $20+ for a simple pasta dish but I did. Not a good value overall.
Our first time but definitely not our last! Food was delicious and service was wonderful- Garrett was a wonderful server.
Great date place. The food is excellent, sea food is a must try. I had the salmon that just melt in my mouth. Will try some other dishes next time! Thank you guys for the great good and service .
This place is off the beaten track, sort of, given its right up the road from the Google headquarters a multiplex movie theater and the shoreline amphitheater. What make it "off the beaten track" is that is a really find dining experience. You would expect pedestrian food but this place is not that. We entertained two guests from Japan who specifically asked to eat Italian. They loved the food, as we did. I had the lamb chops which were cooked perfectly, but also full of flavor. I could taste all the spices described on the menu, which should be the norm but is far from it.
This is a great place to eat before or after any of the attractions mentioned above. But don't forget about it for when you just looking for a really authentic meal.
We came here for a birthday celebration and the food did not disappoint -- everything we ordered was delicious (meatless meatballs, fried calamari, seafood salad, duck linguine -- OMG this one was amazing!!). I read many reviews that service here could be really slow, but to my pleasant surprise our server that day was fantastic! Mike was very accommodating, attentive, and prompt. We had a toddler and infant at our table and Mike even came around to entertain them when they were being fussy. He also gave us a free dessert as a birthday treat -- and OMG that tiramisu was amazing! How a tiramisu should taste! So overall we all had a very pleasant experience.
Very good food, however, a lack of attention to detail did not align well with the prices:
Wobbly table, out of draft beer choice, miserly wine pouring. Didn't feel the value was completely there.
Went for lunch and sat in their very pleasant back patio. Great sandwiches (fresh baked bread) and salads.
I must say everything was awesome. The service incredible, food delightful and the decor exquisite.
Perfect for special occasion!
A hidden treasure, worth a visit if you can find parking! Lively and colorful ambience, excellent food and service. Pricey, but what the hell.
Excellent service. Table was set and waiting for our party of 7. We ordered off the menu and had many choices. Quiet and able to carry on conversations without shouting. Good food. Zucchini appetizer a novel twist and excellent taste.
Everything was just OK! Nothing to write home about. I will forget about this restaurant in a month unless someone asks about it and I will say, try someplace else!
Dined after a movie across the street. Restaurant was quite busy and very loud. I ordered a pasta dish loaded with seafood. The menu said 'spicy sauce' but our waiter assured me they could serve it nonspicy. Such a nice dish but it was still spicy, regardless of what he wrote down. From the bar, the Cosmopolitan was the best I've had in ages and I told the bartender so. A big plus!
The music was a little loud for table discussion. Food was very good. Please ask servers to refrain from removing plates until the last person is done eating.
We enjoyed a fairly nice evening at Cucina Venti. Our hostess greeted us twice with, "Hey you guys" which I felt was too informal for this type of restaurant. I spoke to the hostess about this as we were leaving.
We were not greeted by a waiter for a long time after being seated. We were not given any water and had to ask another waiter for water.
Our waiter (I think his name was Alexander?) was not very attentive.
Our finished plates were gathered up from the table in a sloppy way.
We were appreciative of the free chocolate cake for my daughter's birthday we were celebrating. Our waiter did not come back after serving the cake to ask if anyone else wanted desert or a coffee.
Our food was quite good, but we would not come to this restaurant again because of the disappointing service.
food was really good and authentic. Brushetta was fair but the beef short ribs, tortoloni pesto and choc cake were excellent.
The service was really bad. We sat for 15 min and finally needed to ask for a waiter. When we arrived at 5:30 it was only 1/2 full. Someone helped us finally. Got water, bread took a while. Not sure what was going on, maybe short staffed that night. ? We ended up with 2 waiters heloing is because it wasn’t clear who owned that table. For the upscale restaurant and prices the waitstaff should be very good. Their timing was off with us the whole time.
They were resetting tables around us. By the time we left 1.5 hours later the restaurant was full.
We didn’t see a manager on our way out or would have talked to them directly.
We likely won’t recommend or return — great food, but poor staffing. For a good meal we would expect both.
Great food and service!
Outstanding sea bass, along with calamari and artichoke hearts.
