   Very friendly hosts. We were seated immediately. Great service. Let us go at our own pace, checked in just the right amount. Met every request. Topped off with complementary dessert to celebrate.

   bar service was awesome. cocktail menu is great, pasta was amazing, whipped feta incredible. convenient location.

   I’ve had muscle linguini before but this time it was not that good. Half my muscles were closed so I didn’t eat them and there seemed to be no salt so it was a bland taste. I will go back because the food is normally good but this time it was not. Also, the service was quite slow and we had around 4 different staff members come to our table so we did not know if we had a server or it was whoever was available

   Overall this place ranks fair and I would give it a 6/10. Ambience of the restaurant was inviting and well decorated. The wait staff were accommodating and kind. The only gripe I have was the food itself. We tried the octopus and Brussel sprout appetizers to begin. The Brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection with a nice crisp along with a nicely paired roasted pepper sauce. This dish was perfect. The octopus was fair but was not the biggest fan of the Lima beans as it made for a somewhat odd pairing. The real problem was with one of the entrees. We got the rigatoni bolognese and the mussel linguine. The rigatoni bolognese was fantastic (good flavor, pasta was cooked well and aldente). Again, nothing to change here. The other dish was less than ideal. The mussels and fish overall gave off somewhat of a spoiled and offputting scent. The sauce itself was a light olive oil based sauce with hints of lemon. I’m not quite sure what was wrong about the dish other than the concern for the mussels possibly not being fresh? The smell and the taste somewhat spoiled the overall impression of the restaurant

   Our food selections were all amazing: whipped feta with campari tomato conserva, tempura squash blossoms, mushroom pizza & grilled octopus, and we get octopus at every restaurant that offers it and Cucina Urbana's is the best version we've had. We felt that our server Sean was spread thin, he had the outside as well as the tables along the bay window across from the host stand, which is where we sat. His initial greet was tardy in my opinion, but he was thorough and very knowledgeable. I am a stickler for having the server pour wine when glasses are in need of replenishing as well as bottled water, which we had, which he did when he could, but I also poured. It also seemed really bright in the restaurant, we sat just before 8PM and the lights needed to come down a bit. We will be back, love the food, service and ambiance.

   We went early before going to a play at the old globe. We shared three dishes. The squash blossoms were excellent. Some of the best I’ve ever had. We love that they were in a light tempura batter. We also had their chopped salad which I’ve had before. A little too much spice in it for my wife, but I thought it was excellent. And finally, the Osoco. Really enjoyed that as well. I think their food is an excellent value when you compare it to other restaurants.

    We were seated in the outdoor area despite light drizzling. When we asked if we could move indoors, where there were still plenty of empty tables, the server said he would check and let us know. As it started to rain, we asked another waitress if they could at least provide an umbrella, but she informed us they didn’t have any and promised to try to move us inside. Unfortunately, we were never moved, and our food got soaked from the rain. The server was unable to help with the situation, and the overall service was poor. To top it off, the food was just mediocre. A frustrating experience from start to finish.
