Always great food here. The restaurant arrangement of tables appears super-safe and inspires relaxation and comfort. The service was great, again as always. We look forward to our next visit.
Order the bruschetta. You won’t be sorry.
The food here is just great. Had a birthday celebration. The hostess acknowledged when we walked in (added on the online reservation) but I don't think the waiter knew. So that was a little bummer when we ordered dessert and there wasn't a HB on the plate or a candle. Other than that, the food really shines. I could eat a double portion of the pasta easily!
Food was great and portions were reasonable. Prices were reasonable, and staff was friendly.
We were greeted with a glass of sparkling Perceco with a sweet glad you are here. Felt very safe they have done a good job of separating tables.
We went to Cucciolo for dinner on New Years Eve and had an amazing experience. The food was outstanding and so unique, yet the pasta was still comforting. The bruschetta was my husband’s favorite part of the meal, while I thoroughly enjoyed the wine selection. The service was spectacular, even on a busy holiday. We sat outside with a heater, and we were able to enjoy a comfortable night out because everyone was following safety precautions so well. It really was the perfect way to start the new year, and I can’t wait to go back to try more!
Service was great, Pasta with truffles was a really good dish and great value.
This is our new favorite restaurant! Manager is always paying attention to the small stuff, and if anything is slightly amiss (dinner took longer than usual), he completely makes up for it. Food is outstanding, wine list impressive, dessert are to die for.
Great food, great service...we will definitely come to dine here again!
Amazing as always
We visited Cucciola for the first time tonight for my husband and my birthday. It was hands down THE best dining experience we have had in North Carolina since moving here three years ago. The food and service was unmatched. It was so delicious, fresh and irresistible. We ordered drinks, bruschetta, the truffle linguine (to share) and the steak and chicken entrees. We also had the chocolate torte for dessert. Each plate was so amazing and our server Betsy was so accommodating and sweet. She even brought us two lemon cello drinks on the house at the end of the meal.
Our only regret is we didn’t know this place existed sooner because we already know we’ll be returning many times in the future!
This is the second time I've eaten at this place. I love downtown Durham in general and this place fits right in. The food was really tasting however it's just a bit pricey for the portion (except for the Italian salad, that thing was huge)! The house cocktails were decent and the service was impeccable. Very kind and attentive staff. The pasta was cooked perfectly. Definitely an Italian joint you'd want to check out while in Durham.
Food was really tasty and was really happy with the precautions the staff took with Covid
Best Italian food I have ever had.
All the staff are so nice and polite.
Excellent food, ambience and friendly service. Enjoyed the creamed mushrooms and especially the pastas; they were outstanding. Civilized portions which indicates attention to quality rather than quantity which is so important to me.
We enjoyed terrific service and memorable Italian fare. The two kids can’t wait to return for the butter chicken. Us adults loved the burrata, the truffle entrees, tiramisu to die for, and the homemade limoncello.
Fabulous place to dine!
We will return in a few weeks!
Cucciolo is just wonderful. Everything there is top notch and they’re doing distancing well!
Cucciolo was a great choice to have a nice dinner. Because we wanted to celebrate a birthday but wanted to stay safe, we went early. They have tables spaced out, everyone was masked. We had been before and actually enjoyed less people because it was quieter. We ordered a panna cotta to take home (they make the best!) The staff was very attentive but not hovering. They were also doing a booming take out, which we were happy to see.
It was very good. I don’t normally like Italian food all that much, but I really like this place.
Excellent selection of small plates to share. Very well-balanced cocktails.
A wonderful find via a friend whose (Italian) friends only eat here when they want authentic Italian food. We had a memorable experience from the moment we walked in the door from the greeting to our fabulous server! We ordered an appetizer. Entrees were the butter chicken and Spicy Vodka Tomato Cream Rigatoni. The cocktails were fabulous as well! The portions are just right and you can enjoy dessert with ease! The Tiramisu was the BEST I have ever had, and I have had many. This will be "our" spot for authentic Italian. Can be a place for a first date, or not..girls night, or family dinner. Any occasion! Dress is, "come as you are." We dressed up as it was a date night. Outdoor seating and good parking available. We took an uber and there were no problems finding the restaurant. Enjoy!
*Covid safe and social spacing of tables fantastic.
This is my favorite restaurant in Durham. Absolutely incredible!
Favorite Italian place in Durham, best carbonara I’ve ever had. Love the food, service and wine!
Wonderful food. Cooked perfectly. Great, knowledgeable waitress. Great wine choices. Will be coming again!
It was my wife’s birthday and Theron I other restaurant I’d rather celebrate it at than Cucciolo Osteria
The flounder special was the best my husband has ever has. The basil and tomato bruschetta is also not to be missed. A wonderful experience.
Fabulous as usual!!!!
We loved everything about this restaurant. The food was authentic, creative and delicious. Pastas cooked to perfection and the simplest of menu items were Devine. The fun, friendly staff completed the experience and we could not help but return the next evening for dinner. Two nights in a row! We can't wait to come back!!!
Excellent as always. Love the outdoor seating area.
Great food great ambiance great restaurant
As always, this restaurant is superior, consistent and they never ever disappoint!
Very elegant dining experience. We were traveling from out of state, so this was a nice surprise.
Loved the burrata and mushroom appetizers and the vegetarian pasta options (truffle and blue cheese- separate dishes). Always a fantastic meal with gracious waitstaff and greeter. Safe spacing throughout. Nice to eat out on veranda when the weather permits!
So amazing I went twice in two weeks! You must try the lasagna:)
Loved this space so much we went back twice during a long weekend in Durham. Great food, dine and service. Highly recommend!
Great food great service Brad our bartender was so pleasant and the truffle pasta was delicious!!! Will be back!!
We met friends there and as usual all of our meals were excellent!! The mushroom appetizer is incredible. The service was great. The sweet hostess even called me to let me know I left my a scarf. We have tried many different dishes there and enjoyed them all!
Fantastic food and attentive service. Always an excellent experience eating here. Outdoor tables were great although eating inside is safely distanced too.
