Crudo is about the passion of traditional cuisine from the Mediterranean coast with Japanese-inspired infusions. Crudo prides itself with authentic and delightful ingredients with simple presentations.
Spice for Life
One of Crudo’s highlights is the signature trio dipping sauce selection served with several of our dishes such as sushi rolls and crudos. Chef Pascal Lorange replaced the traditional Asian-served ginger, wasabi and soy sauce with the elegant, yet refined homemade trio:
• Kumquat ginger with cilantro and olive oil
• Five-spice harissa sauce
• Aged balsamic vinegar with soy sauce and spices
While being sophisticated in creation and originality, Chef Pascal Lorange presents the majority of his dishes as gluten-free, with the exception of a few desserts. The menu also features a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan options.
Restaurant is CLOSED. Shame on not knowing this and ruining a 70th birthday celebration.
Food was over salted and some of it came out cold. It could have been due to the fact that it was their day after Thanksgiving and their usual Chef wasn't there. But for what you would pay, I expect the food to be a lot better.
Place and service were great though.
I really like this place. The atmosphere is so modern and sleek and the food is excellent. I highly recommend the Coconut Sea Bass. So yummy! The paella was a little too smoky for me but my husband loved it. Their Crudo Mule (Moscow Mule) was delicious too.
Delicious food, but better get more staff. No service was slow bartender or bus boys so service was slow and confused. Had a very nice woman server who filled in for our waiter.
We have come here a few times and every time we bring friends, it's wonderful to see their first experience with the great food we always enjoy. It is a bit loud at times but not annoying--it's fun! You can tell people are enjoying themselves and having a wonderful time. We've brought 4 different couples and friends here and each of them have thanked us over and over for introducing them to Crudo's.
We arrived at Crudo for our reservation and they were closed. There was no note or anything. I will not go there again.
Usually we are fans of Crudo. Unfortunately this was a bad experience. They seem to be struggling, barely any tables filled for a Friday night, service was awful (assume that they had a skeleton staff), food was great as expected but the branzino Crudo was not edible. We weren’t charged for it. Bathroom was in horrible shape and seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned all day. I hope that they can make it and stay open, seems like they are going through a tough time.
It took 20 minutes for a server to come to us after seated . Drink order took 15 minutes. Our appetizer was not fully cooked. Filet was thick on one end thin on other. Question if it was a filet as it did not look or taste like one. Meal came too close to the appetizer. Drinks were so so. Service sucked.
Crudo was a favorite....I feel bad . What happened? Service was excellent and food was good at previous visits. Our experience Friday was not good with service or food. I hope they realize and get things back again. It’s a lovely place.
Good food. Slow service. Somehow, they ran out of beef burgers for the lunch crowd.
Made a reservation for lunch and even received a confirmation text from the restaurant and then they were not even open when we came for our lunch!
Last week Crudo by Pascal Lorange cancelled our reservation 2hours before our reservation time due to ‘their kitchen having some issues.’ But it will be restored at 4pm if we want to have late lunch, they said. Since we’re about to fly out then, we decided to change our reservation at 2:30pm today thinking that they might be opened for late lunch as suggested. No one from the restaurant called us for cancellation today but when we get there, the restaurant was closed and the outside area looked like a mess. I will not recommend anyone to waste their time on this restaurant.
Very enjoyable. Trendy atmosphere and excellent service.
It was closed- bad communication between customers and open table
we showed up to our (confirmed) reservation only to find the restaurant closed - very disappointing to say the least.
still no response from Crudo - they don't seem to care.
I have been here before and the food is amazing! Restaurant was closed the day of our recent reservation. There wasn't even a note on the door.
It was a nice restaurant but it was short on staff, it was slow for business and yet the first waitress who attended us never came back with our drinks and after a half hour I had to flag down another waitress who was awesome otherwise we would have walked out. She made the evening pleasant considering I was there with my wife celebrating our anniversary. We made reservations for 8pm and didn’t get a drink or appetizer until almost nine and our dinner was another half after that.
Disappointed to say the least but my compliments to the chef because the food was awesome.
This restaurant did not meet our expectations. It took about 10 minutes before we received our drink order. Thought it was strange that the bartender was also the hostess. What? Martini came to the table without a lemon twist. My husband waited 5 minutes for the waitress and then had to get up from the table to go ask the bartender for one. She had no idea. We thought this was an upscale restaurant. It has upscale prices but it all just didn't add up for us. My husband order the lamb chops and they lacked seasoning and there are not salt and pepper shakers on the tables. Had a Groupon so we thought we would give it a try but decided afterwards that we would not go back. Bummer.
Food was good quality and different menu, but restaurant has growing pains. Certain individuals do a great job, but overall staff does not seem trained yet on how to create a great customer experience with attention to every detail. For example restrooms were not cleaned and paper overflowing. Overall it felt all a bit chaotic and not necessarily the experience we expected.
Very creative menu with as great selection of tapas and small bites. Easy to have a lighter meal as well if desired.
You will be charged $1.00 for what is supposed to be a loaf of bread when it is almost a breadstick. An expensive restaurant such as this should give bread complementary. I found it offensive that they would charge $1.00 for bread when the bill was over $100.00.
This was the first time we had dined at this restaurant. Our only negative for the evening was difficulty in finding parking. We do not live in this area so were not aware what a challenge parking would be.
Went here for restaurant week. The table next to us was also upset that the item that brought them in, and was advertised, was not what was being offered. After both tables complained the item was offered to us so they did try to correct it.
Plates for our table were served without bread which took about 25 minutes to get. Same plates at the table next to us were served after our table and had bread.
While clearly understaffed our waitress' kindness made the experience more enjoyable.
went there for restaurant week and tried the crudotino and restaurant week menu. The desserts were executed well, but some of the dishes were not impressive. Salt level inconsistent and not balanced. Pasta dish had some pasta too undercooked while others were ok. Seems pasta was not stirred during cooking. fish broth in appetitzer was unfortunately very underwhelming. Did not really get the concept of this dish at all. Love the décor and too bad the food did not deliver.
We specifically picked this restaurant because it's a passport card member. We went for our anniversary. Upon paying the bill we were told we were not able to use our passport card to receive an entree for free because it was restaurant week. We did not order off the restaurant week menu.
I felt that this was very poor customer service and has really dampened my impression of the restaurant.
Such an awesome restaurant! We were welcomed & really taking care of! Food was delicious! Ambiance was contemporary & comfortable.
Great food and great service! We shared several of the tapas based on our server's recommendation and were thrilled with each dish. Lots of flavor and fresh ingredients. The restaurant is lovely with a beautiful outdoor patio.
The food here has declined since we first went. It's a shame because the menu is creatively put together and well thought out. It was poorly executed. Will probably give it one more shot.
The food was delicious. The filet mignon was excellent. Next time we would like to try the crepes. We will definitely go back.
Long wait for Friday lunch as the kitchen was understaffed and the restaurant was mainly empty. Waitress did her best but the long wait for food (>45min) when we needed to get back to work was unacceptable. Either they usually don't get a lot of customers or are disorganized in general in terms of gauging needs. Food was good but expensive, even with a Groupon. Unlikely to return ☹
Dessert was a letdown
Service was horrible even though the restaurant was basically empty. Food was very mediocre but expensive.
That was our first time, and as a group of six we loved it. The ambiance, the service, the food, they all were fantastic. I recommend to everybody.
I would give Crudo a probational recommendation. We tried a plate of 3 crudotini, which at $9 is a little expensive for 3 slices of baguette with some toppings. Fortunately, the 3 we chose (short rib, prosciutto, and salmon ceviche) were very tasty. We followed these up with coconut Chilean sea bass which was excellent. My spouse was surprised that he needed a spoon - the menu listed coconut milk as an ingredient, but it wasn't clear that it was actually served in a coconut milk based broth. I ordered the saffron paella which had excellent flavor. Unfortunately, the chicken was slightly dry, but still tasted good. Unacceptably, the mussels were all bad - really bad. They hadn't opened well and visual inspection (after I pried them open) showed they were all stringy and dried out. They even smelled rather off when I sniffed them. These never should have made it out of the kitchen. We showed our server, who offered to replace the dish - I declined as the rest of it was enjoyable and I could easily pick the mussels out. They did take a portion of the price of the dish off our check, but since we were using a Passport Unlimited membership, we were already getting it for free (otherwise, we probably would have allowed them to replace it entirely). Overall, we still had an enjoyable experience and we will try Crudo again, but if we have a similar experience the second time around, it's doubtful we would return again.
Order the Brussel sprouts - best ever, tender on the inside, crispy on the outside, perfect aioli. And best margarita ever, with their own kumquat salt on the rim - wow! creative, and tasty. Spaghetti pad thai was unique, but a bit too spicy on the curry, and I will not order the sushi next time. But we've never had kinder, more helpful service than ever. And our table sat right next to the large open windows - refreshing ! We'll go back Thursday night for Avocado night, yay !
Second time we've been here. Unfortunately every aspect of the dining experience has declined
Superb meal ... enjoyed calamari, crab cake, and a veggie sushi roll, accompanied by some remarkable sauces. Shared branzino and paella entrees; paella could have used an another type of fish or seafood. Attentive and kind service. Atmosphere less pretentious than our first visit last year. I will definitely return!
I loved the space, ambience and service but the reason I gave an overall rating of only three was the food. I ordered from the prix fixe menu: had the lobster crab croquettes - no discerning taste of either; and saffron chicken paella - too salty. As with anywhere I go that didn't quite get it right at my first visit, I give it a second chance.
Food was excellent. But service could be better. For example they should give you fresh silverware between courses. They should bring bread without asking for it. Otherwise very good
Stunning decor in a very bustling and brand new shopping center. The quality of the ingredients is so good that clean, fresh, ordinary items come together to make something spectacular. We will definitely be back again.
Relatively new restaurant in a shopping center -- don't let the location fool you -- food is excellent & the decor is modern
