Shrimp and Unbelievable Grits
Cornmeal-dusted pan-fried shrimp, roasted corn and poblano cheese grits, chorizo, and fried green tomatoes, all served with a smoked tomato sauce. A Crow's Nest original!
Grilled or blackened, with a citrus slaw, fresh avocado in two flour tortillas, topped with our smoked jalapeno aioli. Served with a side of red beans and dirty rice
South Florida Seafood Boil
A savory local-catch smorgasbord of fish, shrimp, clams, mussels, calamari, andouille sausage, corn-on-the-cob, baby redskin potatoes, and tomatoes, in our one-of-a-kind seafood broth. Served with toasty baguette
Waited a 20 minutes for drinks then another half hour for appetizers. The worst was when a band started playing. I guess you call it a band - one electric guitar faker , I mean player, and one drummer. The guy didn’t even know the right words to Country Roads. Pretty embarrassing. A bunch maskless drunks started dancing right above our table. We got out of there as fast as we could.
Delicious, great service and flexible reservations (I changed our reservation 3 times because of late friends).
Server messed up 3 meals our of 7. One person never got his food before we left, another had to be sent back as grossly incorrect and two others got wrong items but ate it. Food was good. No refills on drinks...had to go to bar to order. Normally this restaurant is excellent. Amazing how a bad waiter can ruin a dinner.
Live music, shrimp and grits, ribs and beer... wood burning fireplace... perfect.
Great food and service! Live music was just average. Would definitely go back
Very enjoyable. Drinks food service and a beautiful sunset!
Next time will stay for Drag Queen Bingo
Second night dining here. ALL Staff are great, food exceptional. Keep recommending everytime we stay.
Good and service were great! I had the shrimp and grits. Outstanding!
We had the best time, band was amazing, super fun place!
Lovely dining with great food and excellent service.
Great views for sunset. Highly recommend.
Our server, Brenda was excellent. Friendly, engaging and prompt.
Jasmine the hostess was so wonderful! She made my son’s birthday celebration amazing! She was so flexible and friendly! We loved our food and the service!
Well, it’s not what was advertised in the “Thanksgiving Buffet 2020” for the Crows Nest.
There wasn’t a carving station, there wasn’t hot crab dip, tortellini salad, and many other things on the “ Buffet “ menu, so it was disappointing to not have the choices that were offered.
There should have been an amendment in the advertising if they decided not to deliver on what was written in the Website.!!
Always good, great staff. It was drag queen bingo night so very energetic!
Ordered Shrimp and Grits. Shrimp were overcooked, the chorizo was rubbery, the grits just meh. Food and drinks definitely not worth the price.
Great place for dinner. We were lucky enough to get a front seat to watch Gatlin. A great duo with awesome music.
Food was very good. Lots
of families, groups, and couples.
Drinks were in a large glass, the quantity was right for the price.
We will return.
Great food. Great staff. Plenty to eat. Would do again!!
Great food in a nice casual atmosphere
We went to Crow’s Nest to watch the crab races (listed as entertainment on website for Monday and Thursday nights). Hostess said “oh we haven’t done that in forever!” Then why is it STILL listed on the website?? Chocolate martini was $12.50 and tasted like chocolate milk. Two odd dudes walking around telling jokes and dancing was quite odd. P.S. the band was good.
Great night, Jazz was fun, food and drinks were great.
We enjoy the food every time we have been there. They are very fast and the prices are reasonable.
Service was very good, quick and helpful but food and drinks were weak. It lacked flavor and connection to the area. Its not a memorable experience, only a place to get fed.
Only Place open late on Island. Great music always. Just in need of some extra help. Food and drinks great. Wine had some surprises.
My only problem was that staff only told certain people they could not dance. We had masks on and were not quite 6 feet apart. The rules should be the same for all guests and should have been stated prior to the show!
However, the food and show were awesome and we told others at our resort about the restaurant and entertainment.
Great table service! Good was hot and quickly prepared. Menu selections upper end with a bit too much emphasis on sauces or accompaniments. Fried shrimp lack luster flavor, shrimp salad was great, bbq ribs were good, black and blue burgers need more pizzaz with blue cheese.
Nice view of the sunset. Entertaining live music. The food was 'just OK', and that seems odd given the time of year (low season, COVID-19). I guess we expected more of an effort to please, under the circumstances. Our server was delightful, very friendly.
32nd wedding anniversary last night @ Old Captiva Anthony & Chef Greg made table visit Tonight - Friday was Crows Nest & Brenda E was fabulous!
Great spot on Captiva and really good food. Been here a few times and will return.
We recently visited Sanibel/Captiva Island and decided to try Crow's Nest for my Birthday dinner. The food was simply delicious and well presented and the sizes were good. Due to covid the seating was wide spread which is great and the ambiance was good. The drinks we got were also very well made and our server was very courteous. I recommend this place!
Very enjoyable. Strict safety standards followed.
I am giving this very high rating based on one dish. — the crows nest shrimp! I have had a lot of shrimp in my day, but these are absolutely spectacular. I only wish they served them by the bucket. We had a smattering of other appetizers as well, but I would go back for this shrimp dish over and over. Absolutely worth a visit.
First time there and we went there for the prime rib special. We got there 40 minutes from the time they opened and we were told they were sold out. Hard for us to believe that when the place was empty.
Great live music. The couple plays a little bit of everything. They are great!!
Food was amazing! The seared grouper was the best I’ve ever had!!
Amazing service and the crab cakes were delicious!
Although temperature was taken at door the wearing of masks was not enforced.
A must visit while on or off Captiva Island. We ate out twice before we went to the Crows nest and believe me the Crows Nest was by far the best over the two 5 Star restaurants. We ended up eating dinner at the Crows Nest the next 3 days. Fried Grouper sandwich was GREAT!
Great Service, Great Food
Thanks to everyone at Tween Waters and the Crows Nest!
We took a group of 12 (9 teens) here for dinner. Face masks were required for entry. We didn’t have ours since we were coming to eat. The restaurant provided masks for everyone and took temperatures before being seated.
The service was quick and the staff friendly. While we were eating the live music started which was enjoyable and not too loud. Everyone liked their food. Some of the prices were a little high, but overall it was a great experience. We will go back.
