I chose this restaurant from a recommendation from someone who had been there. It was to celebrate my birthday. The food was perfectly prepared and just the right portions were served. I felt completely comfortable with the way the dining area was set up due to Co-Vid 19 restrictions. I would love to come back again soon. Thank you.
Excellent food, environment, and customer service. You cannot go wrong with Crosswinds
Awesome! We eat there every year during out annual trip and it never disappoints.
We loved dining at Crosswinds Grille! It was our first time out to a nice dinner since everything has reopened. The food was amazing - our favorite was the fried haddock and the cheeseboard. Our waitress was very nice and checked on us often. We will definitely be back!
My husband and I enjoyed the food very much. We celebrated our 22 anniversary. I had called ahead so they would know it was our anniversary, but they didn’t acknowledge us.
Great dinner and great service! Quite possibly the best fish and chips I've ever had. Wife loved the Mahi too!
Best seafood pasta i have ever eaten. Thanks! Tim McCarthy
Awesome place to eat! My favorite place.
Birthday, table was ready on time, Crystal was excellent
Crosswinds grille is a nice place great views and fine dining.
Beautiful place, high end food and wine, worth every penny, we will be back soon
Delicious good and excellent service. We always love going there.
Had a delicious meal while staying at the inn with a friend. Beef is local and very tender. Potato side was very good. Wine is top-notch. I would definitely recommend it and go again.
The food was fantastic and the filet was perfectly cooked. The music was great to go along with dinner. Only thing I would say something about was the service was very slow. I don’t mind an evening to enjoy the company but keep the drinks full and ask how things are. We will be back because the food is fantastic and we love this place.
We had an excellent dinner! This was our first visit and we are definitely eager to return!
Excellent place to eat and the Inn was amazing too and omg the breakfast super too and staff were friendly. Highly recommend for sure
Was looking for a place to get a quality steak at a (somewhat) affordable price, and discovered Crosswinds Grille on line. My wife and I visited on Super Bowl Sunday, ensuring a quiet visit! The ambiance was great, with a clean, contemporary and friendly feel. The large windows overlook Lake Erie, and would be great for a summer-time visit. Our server / hostess was very friendly and well-informed, taking time to educate us regarding the available cuts of meat, and making recommendations as requested. My wife decided on the filet ($30) while I went with the sirloin ($28). The meals were delicious, and the serving sizes just right. While the total bill -- with drinks but no desert -- was not inexpensive, it was a good value, considering the quality of the experience. I have no reservations in recommending Crosswinds Grille for a wonderful meal. We will be back to enjoy the lakeside patio when the weather warms up.
Excellent experience! Great food, attentive service and nice location.
Pricey. Asked if I could have bread while waiting for my meal and told it’s extra. SMH. I would probably stop for a drink in the bar but not dinner.
We love the food and the atmosphere. We can't wait to go back.
We LOVE this place. It is certainly a bonus that it is across the street from the Lake House Inn.
Would never eat there again
The drinks were good
One of the very best places in Ashtabula County to enjoy a fine dining experience. Great food, warm atmosphere and friendly staff. We have been here on multiple occasions, from dining with friends to celebrating a special occasion. We love that each menu item tells a story of where the food was locally sourced or you can enjoy a delicious, melt in your mouth Na*Kyrsie featured steak. The steaks were amazing with a true wood fire grill flavor and were really tender. This was our first time trying the duck and it was prepared perfectly. Fantastic all around!
We go to Crosswinds often. This was the first time we came away feeling like we missed something. The menu was limited, being New Year’s Eve, but that’s understandable. The server was not knowledgeable about the food and acted very nervous.
The food was very good as usual.
Outstanding food. Had the grass fed filet mignon and it was expertly prepared. Best steak I have ever eaten....hands down! The side dishes were A1 and the beet salad is one of my favorites. Our server, “Crystal” was very personable and efficient. We frequently eat at Crosswinds and always have had exceptional meals and look forward to our next night visit.
Although the rib eye was a very generous and nice cut of meat, it was almost too salty to eat. Combine that with salty potatoes and it was not a very good $36 meal. We also had the shrimp and scallops on spaghetti. The shrimp and scallops tasted fine, the spaghetti was nothing special.
We had a great experience at this restaurant years ago and decided to return while staying in Geneva for the weekend. Our food was good and our server was attentive. We were very disappointed that much of the menu was sold out for the season; several entrees, appetizers, and wines were not available. So the menu was very limited and the wine and entrees we wanted were sold out- kind of a bummer!
Dinner was delicious. Service was outstanding. We will be back.
Service was great, food was amazing. The chef is also the butcher- Don’t see that too many places! Quiet and comfortable atmosphere. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for a nice meal!
My only complaint, the server did not let me know that there were other steak options.
Great place for nice dinner - loved our server - however there was a very grouchy server next to our table....
LOVELY VIEW OUT MANY WINDOWS....BEAUTIFUL FLOWER BEDS.....LAKE ERIE VERY PARTIAL VIEW FROM RESTAURANT...LOVELY ROOM...WHITE TABLECLOTH.....FRIENDLY SERVERS.....SHORTS RIBS EXCELLENT!
When visiting GOTL we eat at the Lakehouse Inn 6-8 times a year.
Always a great experience.
A little disappointed last night when our reservation was cancelled when we were 10 minutes late. It all work out and they found us a seat.
This is a wonderful little place with great food. Unfortunately the server forgot to enter one of our 3 meals, so 2 of us ate while one watched and then one of us ate while the other 2 watched. The food was still excellent and the server told us what happened, apologized and took the late meal off our bill. So even with the snafu, we loved the place, loved the food and felt good about how we were treated.
We celebrated our anniversary at Crosswinds this last weekend. Overall, somewhat disappointed. We seemed to take a “back seat” to other tables that had larger parties, and the food was not nearly as good as it was the last time we dined there. Maybe it was just an “off” night.
Very nice location, although a bit on the noisy side, my wide and I enjoyed this local. If there is one unique aspect that stands out is the commitment to very high end local foods. The locally sourced grain fed beef was nothing short of amazing.
What delightful way to end the day of touring covered bridges. We happened upon Crosswinds Grille and we able to reserve a table for four. Had a delicious meal, bottle of wine and wonderful warm bread. Can't wait to be in the area again to enjoy a great meal. The views of Lake Erie were a bonus.
Busy Saturday evening with several long tables of homecoming and bridal parties. Staff appeared to be stretched thin. Bar and food service were incredibly slow for our table although others seated at close to same time as us were served and finished their meals before we (party of 4) were served. We have eaten there a number of times in the past and enjoyed it much more. Liver and onions is a favorite because of the great mashed potatoes. It was served with halved roasted instead of mashed this night.
Our favorite restaurant in Geneva on the lake. Fantastic food and service.
We had a great experience at the Crosswinds. The food was great, the wine and beer was exceptional, and the staff took good care of us. We were celebrating our anniversary and we will be back in the future to celebrate another.
