The eating areas here were expanded into the saloon area. We had a reservation for our 40th Anniversary and were initially given a 2 person table just outside the kitchen. That would be the noisiest location with high traffic. When asked about sitting in an open booth, we were told it was reserved for another party (???).
We were then placed at a table in the saloon area. The singer on stage was very talented. The food was good but not anything to bring us back. The waitress was wonderful. It was the Lady that escorted us to our table who was stand offish and did not seem to care about our sitting challenges.
Excellent dining experience: service, food, wine, atmosphere, and waiter (Cameron). Highly recommend.
After reading some of the reviews I was hesitant about going in but Crossroads hospitality exceeded our expectations. We had wonderful service and enjoyed our meal. I ordered the rainbow trout and my fiancée had the prime rib. Both entrees were delicious. For dessert we ordered the peach cobbler with ice cream and it was well worth the wait! This place will not disappoint you.
Crossroads never disappoints. Service was OUTSTANDING! Brisket stuffed jalapenos are divine!! And the chocolate torte was delish! With current restrictions, tables are spread out and the bar is functioning as additional dining, but the live music was good. Friends with us who had never been were very impressed.
We were offered the “saloon” dining room not really being explained the difference between the two. We were sat at a table with backless chairs which were very uncomfortable but honestly the worst part was our incredibly rude waitress. She came by once and threw a drink menu at us and said “I’ll be back”. I had to ask when she came back ten minutes later if she was even our waitress to which she responded with less than kindness. I ordered a wedge salad and then given the complete lack of service my husband and I felt like we didn’t want to spend anymore money at this restaurant. Really unfortunate cause we were both looking forward to the steak dinner but the service was an absolute disappointment. Won’t be dining again or recommending it to anyone.
First off the manager and waiters seen to be under the impression that your mask doesn't need to cover your nose.. The food is very good and expensive. The service is lacking, long waits for drinks, food not coming out together and forgotten.
My friend and I went to CrossRoads for steak night. Unfortunately we both ordered the sirloin which was flavorful but dry even though I ordered it medium rare The vegetable skinny green beans were stringy. This is the first time that I have been to crossroads for steak and been totally disappointed. Service was excellent as was the fried strawberry dessert.
Great bar area with great live music & food was great! The brisket stuffed jalapeños appetizer was excellent!
It was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent. And a great deal since it was steak night. Great specials and half price draft!
We are locals and love Crossroads. Our favorite waiter is Oaktie (sp) . He is attentive, friendly and we enjoy our dinner when we are seated in his section. The ambience is wonderful and quiet so we can enjoy a conversation without shouting. The food is outstanding.
Everything was wonderful! The appetizer of the Jalapeno bombers, the steak, wines, and for sure the peach pie was just delicious!
great food, good live music next door. Would do it again in a heartbeat!
The food was pretty good. The service was awful. We made reservations a week ahead and were sat down by the kitchen door. Our server took forever. Our order came out wrong. For the amount they were charging I expected so much more. It was very disappointing.
My husband and I were in Fredericksburg for a couple of nights. We ate at Crossroad Saloon one night and it did not disappoint. By far one of the best Chicken Fried Steaks I've ever had. Our waitress, Ally, was attentive, helpful and extremely pleasant. After we ate, we went to the bar area (socially distanced, of course), had an amazing Peach Cobbler and listened to live music. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Food was delicious. We will certainly be back.
Service and food was excellent! Steak special made the evening more affordable. Would definitely recommend!
Best steak I’ve had in a very long time!!
Worth the trip !
Good experience. Nice people. good food, good value.
Always wonderful food and great people. Can't wait to go back! We Love it!!!
Great food and very nice atmosphere.
Service and great live music !
Half price wine bottle was a bonus ( thursday night )
Overall the experience was nice, steak had no flavor so husband used A-1 sauce which he never uses.
CrossRoads has an amazing mid-week specials on Wed, Thurs., and Sundays...Their is outstanding and the service is over the top!! Our waiter, "Oak-tie," was so professional, with the most amazing work ethics. Love this guy, and when we return, we will definitely as for him. Can't wait to come back!!
Great food great ambiance great music!!
Requested a table in the Wine Cellar and request was honored. Oktay was our waiter and he was excellent. All protocols were adhered to, masks and gloves on all staff. Single use menu and wine list. Tables placed at the correct distance. We were pleased to have live music on the Sunday we visited! Service was very efficient, food was excellent, especially the 1/2 price prime rib! The peach pie desert was fantastic.
We will certainly be back next time we are in Fredericksburg!
Service was great and the food was wonderful. We will definitely be back😊
Crossroads is the best dining and music in Fredericksburg. We have never been disappointed. Just make sure to make a reservation.
This was our first visit to Crossroads Saloon and Steakhouse. My husband decided he'd like try it for his birthday. We had a good time. The service was very good. We enjoyed our meal. The only thing we noticed was the steak was not very juicy but it did have good flavor and was good perfectly.
Amazing waitress and great service! Food tasted great and wine selection was excellent
Side dishes where amazing the steaks where under cooked (medium came out rare and medium came out medium rare) that's why only 4 stars.
Overall poor experience and the lowest score was probably the food itself - Steaks underdone vs what was requested, Chicken overcooked and dry, green vegetables overcooked and baked potato undercooked and crunchy. An aspiring high end Steakhouse should be able to at least put up a decent steak - our party tried 6 different cuts and cooks and not one was good.
Otherwise, the main dining hall was a bit dark and dingy and there was too much music spill from the adjacent Lounge area. Wouldn't go back and certainly not recommend either.
We brought our friend & his wife for his birthday and everyone, the hostess, server, expeditor/busboy wished him happy birthday. The food was fabulous, the service was great & the live music was excellent.
Waiter Jeff was outstanding in attending to our table. Very knowledgeable about the menu and very accommodating.
Crossroads is always excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great Music, Great Food, great ambiance.
Everything was top notch!! Special occasion for us and it was perfect. K
Wonderful food and great entertainment. We got there at 5:30 and didn’t leave until 9:30! It was half price night so it was a wonderful experience both socially and financially!
Service, Atmosphere, Food, simply out of this world! My wife and I celebrated our Twenty Year anniversary here, and it did not disappoint!! We will be back, thank goodness we only live down the road in Sisterdale tx.
We made a reservation and glad we did because this place is always packed..For a reason! Great experience , it was our anniversary and we were visiting Fredericksburg and also all the finer restaurants. Crossroads was our favorite. The entertainment was Pat Bryne and he was fantastic 👏 Thanks for a great night
It was a wonderful dinner! We sat right in front of the band and enjoyed a steak with Mac n cheese and Garlic mash potatoes! The meal was fantastic! We also had crab cakes for an appetizer and the spices were perfect! We will be dining again when we go back to Fredericksburg!
Went for our anniversary, had reservations we were seated immediately upon arrival. Wait staff was very friendly, food was delicious. Highly recommend the prime rib.
