   The menu includes a brunch option which was not available. We were told that side of the menu was unavailable. Additionally, there were no desserts and half the sides were unavailable. I personally had the shrimp and grits. If you like cold clumpy grits accompanied with unseasoned shrimp and topped with a milk sauce feel free to order this. The title of the restaurant mentions a splash of soul however the only soul I can agree with is the one that left my body as I was served the worst shrimp and grits I’ve ever eaten. Additionally, I was a party of 4 and the food was served minutes apart. If you want to have a quiet conversation, I recommend eating first and then joining someone here for an ice cold can of soda. The kitchen staff was friendly and helpful.

   Jumbo was freshly cooked, good Creole flavors true to the name of the restaurant. Service was slow but is to be expected with fresh food. Atmosphere was wonderful definitely will be back for a Sunday dinner.

   We went for Saturday brunch and was told they were not serving brunch. There were also a few items not available and the Ala carte items were not an option. The food took quite some time to get to us, but it was good.

   Me and my family went to this restaurant the food was amazing but the customer service was trash the owner was rude and didn’t want to explain why we had to pay more gratuity than advertised which a simple explanation would have put my family at ease. Furthermore the fact we had to pay before receiving our food was extremely dissettling not to mention the waiter brought out one ticket and wanted us the guest to break the ticket down. A few of my family members have made there on reviews about this place and it will be my first and last visit which of sad because I love supporting black owned businesses but the service was horrible at least the food was good

   Went for Soul Food Sunday, Food is delicious but service was horrible and they were out of a lot of menu items. Small venue with pleasant atmosphere but they definitely need more staff and someone who can order and anticipate quantity of food items needed in a day especially they more popular items.

   Food was great and the ambience was very nice. Owner was nice as well. The Decor was the bomb!

   Really wanted to support a black and woman owned business, but when we arrived, on time, even though we booked through OpenTable, the hostess / waitress turned us away and told us that a large group was coming and then they were unable to serve us. Really bummed us out, we lived in Southern Louisiana for several years, and it's hard to find good Creole up here. Will revise my review if we try again and have a positive experience, but y'all? Please don't take my reservation if you can't actually feed me!
