Crawford & Son
Fabulous. Our first visit was long overdue. We enjoyed very much.
Dinner was excellent. I felt very confident in Scott Crawford and his team to provide a safe and clean environment to have a fun night out with great food.
The food was great as well of the cocktails! All of the staff was so helpful and kind.
Hands down best food in Raleigh with service to match
AMAZING as always!!!!
Interesting wine list but would be great if servers more knowledgeable vs having to check tasting notes
Absolute perfection. Scott Crawford’s talent shines through in every delicious bite. Don’t miss the himachi crudo and the butternut squash soup with crab.
Awesome service and food. Roasted beet salad was my favorite. But my sea bass with crab meat was about a tie with it! And the desserts I would order again as well. Wish I lived closer by to eat there more often.
The food was fabulous. I requested special seating and it was provided. Our wait person was delightful! The wine was excellent. My out of town friend was super impressed with the food, the ambience, the wine and the wait staff. Loved it all!
As usual, one of the finest meals in Raleigh.
The seabass was some of the best food I’ve had in years!
It was an incredible dining experience. We loved everything about it! Can't wait to go back!
This was our first visit to Crawford & Son and it did not disappoint! We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday and our dining experience was fantastic. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding.
Thought the food was fantastic! Our preference is to NOT dine at a place with the communal seating especially if paying significantly for our meal, so that would keep us from dining here again. If that type of seating is fine with you, then I highly recommend it.
Amazing food. Can’t wait to go back!! The Brussel sprouts were sooo good!
Cozy vibe and amazing food. Short rib pasta was unreal. Can’t wait to go back!
All the dishes in our part elicited praises for taste and presentation. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Waitstaff very well trained.
Crawford and Son is a beautiful restaurant with great service and exceptional food. It was our first time there. We will definitely go back.
Amazing as always. The Sweet Bread Pudding is beyond incredible.
Sea Bass was awesome! Scott and team continue to deliver an incredible experience.
Rarely in Raleigh but this would be one reason to cross the state to go back! Service was particularly outstanding - good wine recommendation, good overview of the dishes, etc. Parking was a challenge (resulting in a citation for parking in a residential neighborhood!) but still worth it. Riffs on popular dishes were successful and sharing allowed us to taste multiple items. Ambiance was great - active throughout the evening, positive vibe. All the servers were efficient and welcoming.
Went to this restaurant 2x. Loved the 1st time. Food wasn’t good the second time, especially for the $$.
Great food and service.
Will come back.
Classic rock music in a trendy/upscale restaurant like this is out of place. That's ale house territory. I don't want to hear Foreigner while dining on excellent sea bass.
The meal was amazing! We will go back.
Crawford and Son never fails to delight! Delicious food and spot on service. Consistently excellent!
Got a gift card from a friend so it was a nice change from the usual Friday night repertoire. We were running a little late so I called and asked if they would hold our reservation for 15 minutes and they said "no problem"
The restaurant is on the smaller side. Nice seating arraignment and low lights made it feel more intimate than I initially expected. The server was fantastic, knew the menus inside out and was sweet and attentive from beginning to end.
Now for the best part...the food.
Small menu with very fresh items that are creatively prepared and delicious. The portions are perfect, plenty to satisfy but not so much you'll have to haul half of it home.
We had a great cocktail each and a lucious beet salad to start then wine with our entrees.
My wife had a chicken dish that was juicy, tender and surprisingly crunchy. We're pretty sure it was some kind of rice Krispy that really made it special. I had the poached sea bass in a crab and fennel broth that was beyond perfect. Fresh and delicious. We also ordered a side of the sweet potato bread pudding...enough said!
All in all a great evening at Crawford and Son. Will be back soon but now I need to find something equally incredible and send my friend s gift card to both repay the kindness and kick up the competition.
His pick will be hard to beat.
Best meal we’ve had in a long while...and we live in New York.
This was definitely among the top dining experiences I have ever had. Everything was very thoughtfully crafted. The service was excellent. I can’t wait to go back.
Very disappointed that I was over charged for two cocktails. Sat at the bar and it wasn’t busy at all. Felt they were trying too hard to up sell the appetizers and deserts that we didn’t order. I feel they added to drinks to make up for the unsold appetizers and deserts. After asking for the bill to be corrected I was told error was because of a computer glitch.
It was our second time eating at Crawford and Son. Once again, it was excellent. Beet salad and butternut squash soup were excellent, as was the sea bass. Sweet potato soufflé type side was very good, but must admit I was seriously bummed to see their bread pudding side was not on menu (think stuffing...in heaven). Will definitely be back!
Great food and service. Great drinks too!
We loved the ambiance at this restaurant. It's small and intimate - perfect for a date night. It also has a nice bar area to sit and enjoy a drink. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, we really enjoyed our server who gave us awesome wine pairing and food recommendations. We had a couple of appetizers, split an entree and a dessert and it was the perfect amount of food for 2 of us. One thing we really enjoyed is the attention to flavor profiles that the chef has with the menu - each dish tasted amazing when all the flavors were combined into each bite. We will definitely be back!
My out of town guests had a lovely time — I always love bringing people to this amazing spot. :)
Least favorite of multiple visits. Wait staff less attentive and food not as good as usual. Vegetarian option disappointing and fish subpar. Wish I had ordered the short ribs.
Lick your plate meal as always!!!
Second time. Everything was great! The service was above any recent places we have been.
My favorite restaurant in Raleigh, hands down. Always a great menu selection, gorgeous plating, fantastic flavor profiles. Hospitality and service are top notch. Ambiance is chic and refined but not stuffy. Can’t recommend this establish enough!
Wonderful dining experience. Fabulous servers, excellent dishes!
We had a great meal and service. An excellent restaurant. Would highly recommend.
Catfish and chowder was just fantastic! Great evening.
