We were very disappointed in the Thanksgiving dinner. It was advertised as a very nice turkey dinner. We were surprised and sad to see pressed/processed turkey. Not at all what we were expecting for the price. Soup and dessert were great. Serving of vegetables vey small. Our server was excellent.
The Belgium waffles were beautiful but almost inedible due to the copious amounts of rock sugar in batter itself. Painfully sweet and when asked how meal was, no apparent concern for issue, even with large sugar chunk from inside batter shown (chunks were throughout batter and actually crunched when you were eating).
Was not impressed and couldn't finish the meal. No solution offered by serving staff.
Views, cleanliness, and menu was good though.
Breakfast here is really good. The continental is outstanding & very large & varied.Coffee strong & flavourful.Wonderful bread, eggs,& bacon.
Attended the Crave Mountain Grill on the evening of Oct.3/2020, Prime Rib and Yorkshire was fabulous!! Creme Brulee was amazing! Service was great and the price was very reasonable.
This is our 4th visit for breakfast.....as repeat customers I can assure you that the service is excellent, the food is delicious, coffee is always fresh. The price point is reasonable.
Highly recommend this restaurant....you won’t be disappointed!
It’s a quiet convenient restaurant with reasonably priced good food & friendly attentive staff.
Ordered eggs over medium.
They arrived, over easy, runny.
Server took plate back to kitchen, leaving 3 half slices of toast on our table. She returned the new breakfast with no toast. I asked for the other half piece of toast. Another server delivered a full piece, saying that it was the “extra” toast that I ordered.
Food was good, just not coordinated to be hot.
This was our groups first time at Crave. There were 3 adults and 2 children. I had the prime rib and it was delicious. One of the youngsters ordered the pork belly Mac and cheese and we’d all go back just for it. The wall of windows provided a beautiful view. There were some issues with service which management answered to very promptly. All in all I would definitely recommend Crave for a delicious dinner while in Banff.
My favourite place for dinner in Banff
Lovely views and great food
The food was yummy and the portion were very good. Bring your appetite!
Was nice to receive 2 for 1 breakfast as part of our hotel package. Crave kindly made a substitutionfor me which I really appreciated.
Food was delicious, were going back a second time. I dont regret it at all :)

Really good supper along with great service! We had prime rib and a steak.
Service was fast and efficient.😊
Unexpected treasure during a very busy vacation...
Amazing prime rib!
The prime rib special was superb and service was excellent.
Lovely hidden gem! Great food and service.

My husband and I were regulars at Crave before Covid and loved their buffets which we miss now but our first visit in Covid in July Crave made us feel so welcome and we felt very safe. The food was excellent and all Covid protocols were in place. We look forward to going back again in the future . Also look forward to buffet again maybe 2021
Service was fairly slow initially but improved once we placed our order. Food was excellent. Would return again.
This was probably my fifth time here for brunch. The food was amazing as usual, so many options to choose from and never enough room in the stomach. The kiwi waitress was really friendly and tentative.
Horrible service. Our reservation was not recognized. I was surprised to see the points for the reservation. We did not even see a server until after we had decided what we wanted and waited for 5 mins longer. Then we never received our drinks or a coffee refill until our order arrived and I reminded another server that delivered our food that we had not received our drinks or sides of toast. The food was mediocre. The eggs were overdone. Not sure what it takes to get a soft poached egg? Should be the way it should be served yet you can never get one done that way even when requested. The breakfast poutine was swimming in butter and grease. The only time our server paid attention and was quick was to deliver our bill. The service was so bad that we cancelled our reservation for Saturday night and Sunday morning. As we weren't sure of the service we would receive or the quality of our food.
Lovely view is the mountains to add to a delicious lunch. Our server was delightful. Loved it!
food was good and well priced for banff
Came for the food which, overall, did not disappoint. The service was great, staff were happy and attentive.
This buffet is priced high so my expectations were also high. The prime rib was only average. A good variety of seafood was present, including the surprise of dimsum shrimp dumplings! The cheese choices lagged from previous years. But the dessert bar more than made up for shortfalls with tasty salted carmel chocolate squares.
We enjoy Crave Mountain Grill's Sunday brunch at the Banff Park Lodge. The restaurant is spacious and pleasantly decorated. The side (almost) floor to ceiling windows let in lots of sunlight and provide a nice view (some tables have mountain view). It's especially inviting on a Sunday morning when the sun is shining. The menu is consisted of a solid combination of selections including conventional breakfast items such as pancakes, harsh brown, sausages, etc., salads and cold cuts including meat and fish, cold dishes including carpaccio, cocktail prawns, deviled eggs, cheeses, etc., hot food (chicken cordon bleu, hot vegetables, etc.) There are plenty of desserts, yogurt, and fresh fruits (dipped in chocolate if you'd like). In the past the roast beef could be a hit and miss, but more recently it has been consistently done just right. The buffet is kept fresh and replenished attentively. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Crave is a family oriented place and so far the kids have been a pleasant addition and not a distraction. Crave's Sunday brunch costs a bit more but we find it offers the best value, especially when you compare with other Sunday brunches offered locally. These days, we find ourselves spending too much time trying to find parking when we are in Banff. So, it's nice that parking is included right at the Lodge when you are dining there. You just let the concierge know at the front desk. Sometimes valet service is offered, other times you are given the access key to the parkade. (There is no official time limit to park at the Lodge after you have finished your brunch. So, enjoy a nice long walk down the main street. We all need to walk off those calories anyway.) This has been a very pleasant experience for us and our kids over the years and we hope to return soon.
The food at this location is always good. Things are constantly being change out so what you’re getting is always fresh. Always a go to when staying in Banff.
We go to the Banff Park Lodge Sunday brunch every time we spend a weekend in the area. The service is always attentive without being intrusive, the view from the booths is lovely and the food is thoughtful, well-presented and delicious. This visit was particularly lovely- the chef and team have clearly spent time considering flavours and variety. We had the most delicious salmon, beef carpaccio and French toast (among dozens of other tasty dishes!) and the dessert spread was outstanding. I think visiting close to Valentine’s Day was lucky in terms of the desserts- lots of strawberries, raspberries and pink desserts, all superbly executed.
No pretentiousness, experimental cuisine or snooty attitude here- just nice, friendly people making and serving good, quality food.
Mixed review is the food. Salmon was great, mac & cheese dry, and chicken strips overcooked to gnaw level. Service good.
Was really disappointed with the overall experience. Booked using open table, should have really looked at the other selection of restaurants before choosing this one to make a reservation at.
For Valentines Day I expected the restaurant to be quite busy, it was at 15-20% capacity when we arrived. I should have taken that as a cue. For that few people, there were 2 servers and either a host or manager, not sure which. We were approached by both servers, seemed a little confused on who would be helping us. After our original order, we were pretty much left alone or ignored from the point our food hit the table. Only 1 beverage was served with the second ask coming at the very end of our meal once the plates were cleared. At one point the Host/Manager walked by with the water jug, looked right at my empty glass and walked away. Our food was luke warm at best. Was looking for a reasonable Steak house for a steak under $50.00....I will not make that mistake again...not on a rare occasion to celebrate a relationship, Banff has so much better to offer.
Jaime was excellent! The dinner was delightful.
Bacon was very crispy with no soft bacon to choose. Sausages were room temperature if that. Deserts and prime rib was good.
The atmosphere was pleasant, excepting the sad looking Christmas tree with its lights out. The waitress and the service was just fine. Unfortunately the food was terrible. I ordered the prime rib, their weekend special. The meal wasn’t super hot when served. The meat, as well as the gravy had been completely overwhelmed by sage seasoning. There’s no way the chef had actually tasted the food that he was serving. Either that or he/ she had a cold or something. The sage overpowered absolutely everything . :-(. Very disappointing.
It’s a restaurant in a hotel - greeter was taking phone orders while trying to seat us. Great food for the price. Poor signage to find restaurant. Reservation at 5 but didn’t open until 5:03, which isn’t a big deal but you wait in an awkward hotel hallway. If you’re looking for a fancy steak restaurant, this isn’t it. If you want a great prime rib that’s reasonably priced, casual atmosphere, and easy to get reservation, this is a perfect spot. Would go back.
Quiet place, perfect food, nice waitress!
My husband and I like to try a new place to eat each time we are in town and Crave was the winner tonight. Fast food service and friendly staff helped make a good dinner out that much better. Steak dinners with dessert was a great way to end the day.
Amazing Christmas dinner! Kudos to the chef team!
Took mom for her bday and stuffed ourselves with goodness. Rolled out of there happy then pigs in...
Forgot about this hidden gem.
Nice place for a family to grab dinner. The service was great and food presentation spot o; prices were reasonable and drinks were really well priced. We shared a couple burgers, soup and fish and chips - all the food was well prepared. Side note - the onion soup which is not french onion soup - it's just an onion broth with cheese toast.
Super slow service, food came quick and was good.
