   We had a truly memorable experience. Arriving early, we were warmly welcomed by the manager, Shauna, who graciously offered us a beautiful table overlooking the harbour. The sky was moody and grey, setting a dramatic and cozy backdrop, while soft jazz played gently in the background—creating the perfect ambiance. We ended up staying for hours, not wanting to leave. The food and wine were exceptional, and the service was genuinely friendly and attentive throughout.

   Exceeded expectations. Food was delicious - two small plates and two large plates were plenty for two adults. Great selection of gin and tonics. Friendly and thoughtful service without being invasive. Genuinely, delightfully surprised.

   It would be difficult to fault the physical surrounds of the restaurant. And the outlook is par excellence. But the menu was disappointing, as was the food - the exception being the oysters; they were so fresh and plumptious and the sauce they were served with was a triumph. With respect to the food: Two of our number ordered the octopus; both commented that there were a few small pieces of octopus but the dish was mostly pasta. The flathead, which is a particularly delicious fish, was overwhelmed by the chips (and I love a good chip). And, finally, accompanying the fish of the day with cannelloni beans is unappealing. The unanimous verdict was that the fresh green vegetables and the ice berg lettuce salad were the highlights (not to forget the oysters, which were superb). I have known the Gallery Restaurant in the past when the menu and food were a real treat. Today was disappointing by comparison. Also our waiter was very attentive and helpful but he appeared to be nervous and I wondered why that might be. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to provide feedback.

   Shana and her team always provide a top-notch experience, making you feel like royalty every time you visit. The menu features a great selection of well-executed dishes, complemented by quality wines at excellent value.

   Perfect venue for dinner prior to Opera on the Harbour. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Would like to try more options on the menu in the future.

   A divine experience on the 1st April celebrating the life of my Dad after his passing on this day at the beginning of Covid . I cant recommend Crafted by Matt Moran highly enough. The food was divine, the sparkling wine was perfectly chilled, the service was faultless and the view of where we scattered Dad's ashes in 2023 brought our family great happiness on a day that is usually sad for families when remembering a loved one who has passed away. Our waiter, Henry, was so cheery and helpful and recommended perfect mains for us. The seared tuna over pasta is sublime - no wonder it's a signature dish ! The lightly battered flathead fillets were generously proportioned and tasted fresh from the sea. Our only negative to what was a perfect lunch was that we had no room for desserts!! This WILL be remedied on our next visit which we expect will be very soon ! Thank you, also, to the staff who assisted with Mums wheelchair arrangements. This was very much appreciated and it's fantastic that a ramp is available for wheelchair access into the restaurant! I have absolutely no hesitation recommending Crafted by Matt Moran for a special occasion or just because you're visiting the gallery and feel like truly sensational food with matching service!

    Very skilled chefs ; food is beautifully prepared and served. Fish was perfectly cooked in a complex pesto sauce with fennel. Service was exceptional. View is sensational looking down to Garden Island and the harbour
