The OG CRAFT located in Calgary’s Beltline district. This restaurant set the stage for each location that came after it. Three-season rooftop patio with 360-degree views of Calgary’s skyline and a retractable roof. If it’s over 5 degrees we will be open! We have multiple seating areas including the main dining room and bar, private room, a mezzanine area with games and a rooftop patio.

It was our 3rd visit this week. The service and food has been excellent but I had the mac & cheese as a side on the 2nd visit and it was awesome. This time I ordered it as a main, it wasn’t as good. It needed to be cooked more and cheese browned.

We were a bit disappointed by how the kids meals worked. Both kids wanted Mac and Cheese. We discussed with the server about getting a third order as sometimes kids meals aren’t that large. Instead she suggested that we get the adult order for each and just have it be the kids version (I.e. no poblano peppers etc) as the adult Mac and Cheese was on happy hour. When we got our bill she explained to us that it turns out we could get happy hour pricing for the Mac and Cheese because it was a “modification/substitution” to get the kids version instead of the adult version. So instead of potentially ordering a third kids meal (three @ $13) or being charged for happy hour adult meals (2 @ $20) we ended up with $50 for our two kids to have plates of kids Mac and Cheese. It was a weird way for the dinner to end - we left feeling tricked. I doubt that was the intent, but when we raised it, it was quickly dismissed. It’s only $10, but that works both ways. Should have been an easy thing for Craft to fix too.

Went to Crafts Grillmaster Fathers Day Buffet and it was fantastic. They offered free beer to the dads which was a nice thoughtful touch. All the buffet food was fresh and warm and tasted great. The drinks were quick and the service was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth the price for the quality and would definitely return next year!

Sunday all day happy hour has a great selection of drinks and food at amazing value. Food was excellent. Service was slower than usual.
