Anastasia was absolutely lovely and the food was delicious
Valet was very nice and friendly
Such a great restaurant in Gainesville. Located inside of the Eleo hotel which just opened in late 2020. Great place for a drinks and great appetizers. I recommend their bloody Mary’s, avocado toast and roasted cauliflower! I will definitely be back.
It took 30 minutes to get a drink at the bar and we waited 45 minutes for our table even with a reservation.
Great place for brunch! The crispy cauliflower is to die for! The avocado toast was delish as well. Super friendly staff. We will definitely be back.
Amazing staff and great food.
Wonderful restaurant! An amazing find as we traveled through Gainesville! ❤️
The food menu was not very extensive, but the craft cocktails were delicious.
Flavors spot on, consistent with menu copy. Limited choice but provides options for casual bite or leisurely dining. Ordered a few things to share, all came at once. I should have asked for them to course it out. Cocktail program in good hands. Nice variety. Mezcal Negroni over large ice sphere perfect. Server was attentive but was only one there so a little slow to receive drinks and dessert. Room could use some accent touches. Overall a really nice add to the local dining scene. I’d go back for drinks, apps, a quick bite or another sit down dinner.
Despite being one of only two tables in the restaurant, the waitress Jennifer kept forgetting details and had to come back more than once to confirm info. Still brought wrong drink. Perhaps she should write down her orders. Burger was supposed to be medium rare but was more like well done. Hostess was superb and very friendly.
Cannot wait to go back! Wish we visited sooner, the food and service was excellent. I did not expect hotel food to be so fantastic and the views were gorgeous. This is a must do date spot!
Food was delicious and healthy and quick! Loved it! Great service.
Beautiful view while dining. Staff was very friendly. Salmon was great.
I was very disappointed. I will admit that the starkness of the restaurant is not my style, but it seemed to lack any type of atmosphere, a very cold feeling. Once seated, our server took forever to arrive at the table. Forgoing cocktails, we ordered iced tea, which took forever. Looking at the menu while waiting for our drinks to arrive, I was surprised at how limited it was. My wife had the flank steak, I had the short ribs and our guest had a hamburger. My wife's steak was medium-well rather than medium-rare, our friend's hamburger was raw and my short ribs were just right. However, my sides left something to be desired. The carrots were acceptable but rather bland and the couis couis was not couis couis at all, just boiled barley with zero flavor. It took us forever to get our food, forever for the server to return for the desert order, and forever for that to reach the table as well. And again the same with the check. As of yet, they do not have their act together but that could be overlooked, but not the quality and selection of the food at that price point will likely prevent me from a repeat visit.
The restaurant is nicely appointed with indoor and outdoor dining with a modern, clean look. However, the primary reason for the low review was the service. Cocktails took over 30 minutes even though the bar area was not full. The service staff didn’t seem to have a grasp of customer orders and ultimately had no solution or clarification for the delay. The food was okay, but the menu is somewhat limited.
Very pleasant. Food very good. Lovely experience. Short rib entree and Caesar salad delicious
Great ambiance and food. The cocktails and wine were also good. Well recommended.
Great food. Deviled Eggs and cauliflower are a must!
It was very cold and windy. And the menu was limited to a few things. Otherwise it was what we needed as an outdoorsy place to eat snd drink. I don’t think many know about this lake side place.. The appetizers were good with a bottle of red wine. Dinner was okay only to get cold quickly. Nice but pricey.
Had dinner with out of town guests. We asked to be
seated outdoors...the service was outstanding...I
Our first visit and it will not be the last! The menu was small but full of surprises and delicious in everything we tried ( deviled eggs, Caesar salad, steak frites and fried chicken.) The staff also helped us celebrate an anniversary with a complimentary toast and served our specialty wedding cake that we brought along. Highly recommend and will be back for more food and drinks!
Excellent food and excellent service. Small dining room is right off of the Hotel Eleo lobby with some outside seating overlooking fountain area. The cauliflower appetizer was excellent as were the fried chicken and steak frites entrees. Will definitely be back.
Service was extremely slow and lacking. Food was so so.
Made reservations and was seated late, the menu online did not reflect what they had in restaurant that day, they ran out of certain menu items, dinner took 40 minutes to come out and was then told kitchen was closed and they couldn't serve dessert. Was seated next to kitchen/waiter station and heard yelling from kitchen the entire night. Only positive thing I have to say was food was great. I understood they were busy (especially this weekend) but felt it was a constant miss after miss.
Went the day before Valentines. When we arrived there was no hostess. She showed up after 5 minutes or so. We asked to sit outside but were told that the several empty tables were reserved. If they were nobody used them during the hour plus we were there. Food was mediocre. I asked for medium on the steak frites and got well done. Cocktails were good and service was average.
We decided to try out this restaurant for Valentine’s Day and we were not disappointed! The food was absolutely fantastic...I had the salmon and my husband had the short ribs (and we tried a little of each other’s). For dessert, he had the banana pudding in a mason jar and I had the citrus bowl...kind of like a key lime pie, but with a tart orange taste. I don’t know how they make the crumble they put on both of the desserts, but that makes it! It could be a dessert on it’s own! The inside of the restaurant is modern and quaint with a nice view of the lake. At night the fountains in the middle of the lake are lit up and it makes for a really nice background. The free valet parking was also a plus...just please tip those gentleman — they were working up a sweat between guests checking into the hotel and patrons coming to the restaurant. We’re actually thinking about having a staycation for a weekend just to get away without really going anywhere. Will definitely be back!
The staff was great - we were a group of 7 celebrating my daughter's birthday. We had a big table set off in an area by ourselves and were able to bring in our cake. Everyone enjoyed their food - omelets, avocado toast, cobb salad, etc.
Really delicious appetizers and entree.
Everything was excellent! All staff members were very accommodating and the food was delicious.
What a wonderful place! In Gainesville for some medical tests at UF and saw this place on OpenTable. It definitely lived up to all the good reviews! Beautiful dining room overlooking the lake and fountains. We originally had a reservation for outside dining, but due to some unusually cold temperatures, we ate indoors where the social distancing was not a problem and all the staff wore masks, so we felt safe. My husband had the fried chicken and said it was amazing...flavorful and rich but not at all greasy. I had the salmon nicoise which was served over a beautiful salad and it was perfect! For dessert, we had the orange pie in a bowl...sort of like key lime, but with orange and it was great...tangy and not too sweet. The best part of our experience was our server Autumn...she was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and just such a positive person during these difficult COVID times. This is THE place to go in Gainesville!
excellent food and wine
overall A plus
Great food!! We will be back.
What a fabulous little hidden gem. We were there to celebrate my daughter's engagement. You'll have to valet, but it's complimentary. They were all so excited for the newly engaged couple. They catered to our every need. Great cocktails, food, and service. If you want a great restaurant with unique views, fabulous atmosphere, and delicious food, head here first and skip the downtown madness.
Fantastic little gem of a place. Sit outside and enjoy the waterfall. The cocktails are some of the best in town and their red sauce (Italian gravy) is spectacular. Ohhh and the citrus (blood orange) key lime, mmmmmm
We has a delicious supper with cauliflower and deviled eggs for appetizer and delicious mains! Service was delightful and the place was spotless.
Eclectic menu with creative appetizers and entrees. Great cocktails. Chic modern architecture. Warm host (owner) and great staff.
Good and service were wonderful. Fresh, beautiful food
We went there for Thanksgiving. While the food was excellent there was no hint on the website that there would be a special pre fix menu. I wish we had known before so we had a choice if we wanted to spend the money. We both chose the steak and it was delicious. my wine Marc West was also a very good option on the menu. No complaints regarding service and outside seating.
Nice addition to Gainesville. Has a feel of bigger city. Beautiful setting for dining al fresco. Service was impeccable. I liked that the whole staff acknowledges your presence; our server was most hospitable.
For appetizers, Deviled Eggs looked amazing, Avocado Toast and Crispy Cauliflower were very good. Short Rib entrée was amazing. Bahn Mi sandwich was to die for! Cocktails: Jalapeño Muddle and Elderflower Margarita were big hits.
