Our service was abysmal. Inattentive and slow. We had to go to the bar just to ask for water refills. Meanwhile, the servers were busy chatting with each other and completely ignoring the room. We saw other patrons approaching the staff with credit cards, because they couldn’t get anyone’s attention to bring them their checks. The food was average, with the exception of the steak frites, which was so tough that it was inedible.

Haven’t been here since before Covid, we love Vine Street too. Solid experience, always consistently good, both food and service. I’m vegan, and their options are fantastic. Not easier to find a place that does vegetarian entrees let alone vegan, with 2 excellent entree choices. We enjoy coming here in the cooler months, Very cozy interior but you don’t feel cramped like you’re sitting on top of the table next to you. Dog friendly which is a plus.

We enjoy going to Cove Hollow especially in the off-season. Last night had the Prixe Fixe meals - or we thought that’s what we ordered. Come time for the check and there’s a $6.00 up charge for the chicken? What? Either keep it off your prixe fixe menu or put a note on the menu. $6.00 is not enough to make a stink over but in keeping with the high service that’s always on display at Cove Hollow you should alert your customers to this.

We were celebrating a birthday with 6 people during Restaurant Week. We all enjoyed our meals. It is a very cozy space so 6 people at the table was a bit tight.

Cove Hollow Tavern has a casual and very cozy atmosphere. We have enjoyed this restaurant several times during the summer. In the Fall, however, we found the food to be not as good (different chef perhaps?) and the service, while good, was a bit sloppy (wine drops all over the table). The “pumpkin” mash for example did not taste like pumpkin at all and the normally delicious apple cider ribs were just okay. In terms of value, we can’t help but feel that it is simply not there. East Hampton Grill charges the same prices and has much better food and ambiance. I would recommend the restaurant with those caveats.

We both ordered burgers with fries and decided to share a Little Gem Lettuce Salad to start. I thought little meant the name of the lettuce not the woefully small size of the salad for which they charged $24!

Out frequent “go to” for excellent food and service! Small space with an intimate feel that translates well with their friendly and professional staff. Their early prix fixe is one of our favorites for East Hampton - you cannot beat the quality of food for the price value- even the prix fixe house wines are well chosen and a terrific value that pair well with the menu.

It’s somewhat difficult for them to seat large parties. We were 6 and were sitting at the same size table as parties of 4 - thus we were a bit crammed. Apart from that, service and food were great!

I think it was an off night. Lets hope! Normally I love Cove Hollow Tavern. The burgers or the ribs are the best. But last night, we waited an hour for food and hardly got an apology. The restaurant was not fool either.

They've gone downhill since last year. Smaller portions, overcooked pork chop, and overly sour bbq sauce for very dry ribs. Used to be my favorite place. Much different now. Maybe an off night?

Fantastic experience! Food was exceptional (lobster tacos, miso-glazed salmon rice bowl, and Berkshire pork chop). Creative cocktails, varied and focused wine list. Excellent service, our glasses were never empty and the whole staff was very pleasant, even on a very busy night.

A bit mystified why all outside tables were empty when we arrived for our reservation after being told on Open Table that there were no outside reservations available. Nonetheless, dining inside was fine. Service polite and capable, firecracker shrimp appetizer was excellent, mussels entree very good, but the skirt steak entree was overdone - ordered medium but served well done.

On a recent Friday evening in June during the Juneteenth holiday weekend, the service felt slow after our initial beverage order was submitted. With only one bartender catering to the bar patrons, that could be the main reason why the dining room customers had to wait. The food is delicious. There’s no ambience when the dining room is full and the noise level is high.
