   We have eaten here on two occasions recently, one with friends the other as a family. The proprietor makes you feel very welcome and the service excellent which contributes to a relaxed afternoon. The food is very good and one of us tried the vegetarian option which was excellent. We were a bit disappointed that one of the dessert options had run out on one occasion but the proprietor handled this situation very well. We shall definitely return.

   First time eating in this area and to this restaurant. We arrived an hour earlier too and were happy to wait in the pub however, the very competent staff sat us earlier and were very accommodating. The wine was good and very reasonably priced. Waiting staff were attentive and very helpful. Will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend.

   This is a great little local restaurant, especially with the Live singing and Meal offers on a Thursday evening. Fantastically decorated & would recommend to all.

   Went on a Thurs eve with 3 girlfriends, was our first time in the new wine bar (having been pleased with the pub before) and it didn't disappoint. Decor is warm and inviting, service was perfect from the woman who runs the bar to the kitchen girls who served us. Wine selection was good and fair priced. Was offered choice of 6 small plates to share between two of us for £18, fantastic value and lots of choice. Food was fantastic quality, very fresh and varied-the squid was so good we ordered another serving! As the manager said, it was clear the food was prepared with a lot of thought and care which goes for the whole experience really. Will definitely recommend to friends, would also be nice for a date place.
