I make my own pizza and pasta dough and Cotogna's dough is as good as mine. What they put on the pizza and in the pasta was not typical Italian-American. No tomato sauce or pesto, but unique, wholesome, over-the-top ingredients. For example, our pizza's base was a celery root puree, topped with wild mushrooms and garnished regiano Parmagiana. Pure heaven, from first bite to last! My son ordered the agnolotti del plin for his entree. The blend and quality of the cheeses shined through the fabulous homemade pasta that I know was made with Italian imported 00 flour. I ordered the pasta with fava green puree and potato rotolo and again, pure perfection. My husband could not join us, so I ordered the Tagliatelle Alla Modense to take home to him. Fabulous! Desserts are all homemade. We shared the Torrone gelato with honey and pistachio shortbread, and again, over-the-top delish. I brought home the Warren pear crostata for my husband (we ate the fabulous gelato and just brought home the pear). Service was impeccable from start to finish. I was greeted with a welcoming smile and assisted to our table. I am disabled and the hostess was extremely helpful and attentive. Our server was terrific. Her input and suggestions were appreciated and we thoroughly enjoyed her recommendations. All the staff at Cotogna were helpful, polite, and made us feel extremely welcomed. Our dinner, while not inexpensive, was worth every penny. It was all homemade with the finest ingredients. As a hobby, I'm a gourmet cook, and our dinner was as good as I can make. My only advice is only bring family and friends to Cotogna who are open to trying exciting new flavors. For those who love only Italian-American cooking a la Lidia Bastianich, packaged, dried pasta, and heavy sauces, save your money; they won't appreciate the quality of Cotogna's food.

We had dinner here before going to a show. Were very lucky to get a table with only four days notice. Wish we had more time to linger over dinner - will have to go again with no deadline. Service was impeccable and the food amazing. The charcuterie plate before dinner was a pleasant surprise to my husband. I loved my Dungeness crab soup. Our pasta entrees were sublime - my tiny pillows of pasta stuffed with duck and chicken melted in your mouth. Unfortunately, no time for dessert.

Tables are ridiculously close together for a restaurant with extremely wide common areas. Wine came out after food, food is average and lacking flavor.
