A staple of the 124st restaurant landscape for years, Cosmos Greek Kitchen returns, bringing you traditional greek cuisine cooked the way yaya (grandma) would. Originally opened in 1979, Cosmos has been a staple of Edmonton's culinary landscape for over 30 years. Although it has changed location over the years, it has always returned with its traditional sensibilities in tact. With an extensive knowledge of Greek cuisine acquired from life in the mother country, you can expect dishes cooked in the authentic greek style.

I loved the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes.

We booked a table for dinner in the restaurant and we were seated in the freezing cold bar area. If we wanted to go to a bar for supper we wouldn't have make open table restaurant reservations. Cold, service was slow and our food took over 1 hour. NEVER ever going back

We visited Cosmos for a staff Christmas luncheon. The food was excellent and lots of out. Great dollar values. The service was very good,

We went for dinner recently on a Friday night. It was our first time at the Cosmos Greek Kitchen, and we were very delighted. The restaurant is very nicely decorated with a sense of sophistication. The ambiance is conducive to an intimate dinner where our group of seven people was able to hear each other speak. The food was excellent and the calamari were the best any of us have ever had. These were crisp, light, and just about melted in our mouths. The lamb souvlaki, roasted lamb, ribs, and steak plates were delicious. The lentil soup was very good, and the Greek salad was amazing with a generous covering of feta cheese. The only disappointment was the mousaka because it had an overpowering flavour of cinnamon/nutmeg. Perhaps just a pinch of these spices should be used in order to give a subtle taste to this dish. A sample variety of desserts was served to us on one plate where each dessert was cut in half. After such a delicious and satisfying meal we wanted to share the sweets. This capped off our dinner very nicely. My husband and I moved to Edmonton from Montreal over two years ago, and this was the first Greek restaurant we have been to in this city. As a compliment to Cosmos Greek Kitchen, the cuisine is as authentic and delicious as the best Greek restaurants in Montreal. We will definitely be back in the near future, and I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a truly great Greek food experience.
