   We were told the appetizer we wanted was out of stock, so we ordered a different one. Then, as soon as the server placed the order, he came back to the table to tell us what we originally ordered was suddenly available. We asked if we could just get what we originally wanted, and he told us that we would have to pay for both and could not swap. Then, entrees came out very subpar. Cold, over salted, and definitely powdered eggs. Server was inattentive. I’m very quick to give great reviews for even moderate effort, but this was just not acceptable. Cool setting though. Would not come back

   Food was delicious and well thought out. Service was quick and attentive. Our server, Jose, made sure our first visit here would not be our last. Drinks were yummy also.

   my favorite breakfast!! I always get the all American breakfast and its hands down the best scrambled eggs and they are consistently good! Today we tried the biscuits as well as a starter and they were amazinggg, fluffy and crispy with dome sea salt sprinkled on, perfect!

   The experience was great, we loved the cornbread skillet and our waitress Carman was amazing. I loved the short rib over grits it was delicious, we also got an order of brisket tacos that didn’t come out how we had hoped but they were comped by the staff proactively without us having to say a word. I truly appreciated that and would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice place to eat in Austin.

   While the location of Corner in Austin is undoubtedly convenient, especially for hotel guests, the dining experience leaves much to be desired. The food quality is what one might expect from a typical hotel restaurant—overpriced and lacking in flavor. Some menu items appear to be premade and cannot be modified, which limits flexibility for guests with dietary preferences or restrictions. Given the number of highly rated dining options in Austin, it’s difficult to understand the abundance of positive reviews for this establishment based solely on the food. A disappointing visit overall.

    We came to Corner for a weekend brunch with a party of 7, and from the first sip to the last bite, everything was good. The staff handled our larger table smoothly and with grace. First off—drinks! The mimosas were crisp and refreshing, and the Nitro Espresso Martini? Dangerously good. Smooth, bold, and just the right kick to start the day off (ok it was afternoon but that’s what brunch is for right). But let’s talk about the star of the show: the cinnamon fritters. Absolute heaven. Pillowy soft on the inside, perfectly crisp on the outside, and dusted in just the right amount of cinnamon sugar. Everyone at the table agreed—they are a must-order. Calories be damned, you need to try them. There was a delay to get some of our food but well worth the wait. Aside from that only other issue is the half a cup of fresh fruit for $9. Not a great value but I will say it was mostly berries and not all melons as fruit cups tend to be.
