Cork and cap went above and beyond expectations!! Our server Dylan was absolutely amazing! The host and bartender also took time to visit and chat a bit! It’s refreshing in this hurry and hussle world we live in! Cork gets 6 stars out of 5 from this crew!!
Clean contemporary warm ambiance with excellent food! The hushpuppies were amazing, crabcake the best ever and the salmon delicious!
Awesome!! Love Cork and Cap!!
Some of the best food around. Great atmosphere and the waitress could not have been better!
Wonderful dinner! Our server, Danny, was great, food was amazing, my hubs had the duck, I had the lobster cakes. Soooooo good! Thank you!
Great food and exceptional serve. Busy place. Only complaint would be the closeness of the tables and signage from the parking lot. We would recommend to anyone.
We enjoyed our evening at Cork & Cap. The food was so so, but they were very busy. It was at times a little hard to hear. The atmosphere is quite pleasant.
First and foremost, our waiter was outstanding and did everything in his power to accommodate us. In general
it felt like the restaurant took on way more reservations than they could handle. We were seated in an area that felt more like “overflow” than regular dining. Our tablecloth was filthy upon being seated and we should have asked for it to be changed but it was obvious the wait staff already had more than they could handle, so we dealt with it. We asked for napkins to cover up the food spills that were left on the tablecloth from the previous party (pretty gross). It took quite a while to be given napkins and utensils and the whole experience was just a little “off”. Our meals were good, not great, but a solid good. But the seating situation and cleanliness of the table upon being seated was disappointing. I realize many businesses are understaffed and I respect their struggle, but in this case, I feel they took on way more tables than they were able to serve. I wanted to try and book another reservation for my daughter’s Christmas Eve birthday, but after this experience, I’ll keep looking.
A staple for a nice date night. Great food and excellent service
Too noisy on Sat. night at 7 p.m. Very loud rowdy tables. No absorbent surfaces to absorb loud noise. Good server, Jennifer, direct and helpful and forthright. Butternut squash soup served cold sent back twice to heat up. Food tasty. Convenient to Cork Hotel. Crowded, staff did not wear masks. Would not recommend.
Sitting in the bar area was nice ambience but they should have a waiter or waitress taking care of the tables not the bar tender.
Super cool restaurant and history. Great food and good service. Second time here and still great.
Our server was very patient with us. Seemed to know we needed extra time as we were there for a special occasion.
We took are friends for their 60th anniversary it was great. Filet was done to perfection. Definitely go agin. Recommend restaurant very highly.
I got the halibut with crab special. Crab was very salty and more of a crab imperial, not much crab. The carrots and green beans were very hard. Halibut was very good. Not worth the 38.00 I paid.
We insisted on eating in the bar area. The seating there is more supportive for my husband. There was a large wedding party there at the time, very loud. Our server did all he could to seat us away from the noise. He was prompt with the drinks and the food. We got the same entrees we’ve eaten many times before. Could the menu be updated? What we had was very good. My husband loves the meatloaf with Mac and cheese. I had the single crab cake with broccolini. All cooked and prepared to my liking. There was no rush, but no lag either! All good!
Pick up the phone. Your's is a service industry and yet, I'm expected to do all the work in making a reservation or viewing your menu. Ridiculous. My average check at a restaurant for two people is $200.00. You made it so difficult to change my reservation time or view your menu, I went to another restaurant. I'm hoping you will find this constructive.
Excellent meal, great atmosphere and pleasant wait staff.
I have never been to this spot before but it was so nice. The atmosphere is wonderful and not loud! Highly recommend.
I had the meatloaf and three cheese macaroni that came out bland and at room temperature. The beet salad was overwhelmed by the blue cheese and the butternut soup was too sweet.
Amazing!! Traveled from out of town and found great reviews online. Did not disappoint!!
Great atmosphere and service. Food was solid especially the scallops.
Had a reservation for our anniversary. The only that was a minimal issue was finding the entrance. The restaurant is part of a hotel that was renovated from a factory so you have to travel through the parking lot to get the. Nothing terrible but a little challenge. The atmosphere, the service and the meal were all excellent. Emmitt was a real pro and very attentive. Would definitely recommend!
We were traveling from out of town 3 states away. The expericence with friends was wonderful.
Food was fantastic! Great place if your looking to celebrate a special occasion.
Great food. Attentive and friendly staff. Cozy ambiance. Perfect date night!
We were exploring as an option for a reh. dinner and were very pleased with our meal and overall experience -- We could see a possible parking issue if multiple events are taking place as same time
Great service. Amazing food and service!
Vegan burger was one of the best I've ever had! Their sweet potato fries are some of my favorite too!
Went late. Food was still amazing. Server was obviously worn out from a bust night, et still pretty decent.
All around excellent experience. Food was amazing, the service was top notch, couldn’t have asked for better anything. Another memorable anniversary at one of our favorite places.
Excellent service & food!
Very nice atmosphere and excellent food. Each portion looked and tasted like it was prepared by experienced chef.
The dessert was outstanding as well
We’ll definitely be back!
Great service, food was amazing and reasonably priced. The building was very cool as well. We will definitely be back!
I had the filet and my husband had the meatloaf and macaroni and cheese. Both were excellent and the service was outstanding! The ambiance was lovely, which made for a very special evening. I highly recommend Cork & Cap!
They sat us near the waitress station, and that was too much activity; and they need shinier looking eating utensils
We could hear the next table’s conversation too easy
Otherwise it was great
we had a fantastic meal at cork & cap. it was our first time there and the setting was rustic and quaint. the staff was friendly and our server (dan) was outstanding. the menu was interesting and varied... and the portion sizes were perfect. they were busy but our food arrived quickly. it was our anniversary and it definitely did not disappoint... we will go back again.
Had our daughters wedding at the Cork Factory Hotel, August 2019. Her grandfather loves the place so much and wanted to return so we bought him a gift card and took him for dinner. He had a great duck dinner.
First of all it was noisy even at the 5-6 pm timeframe. My wife had the beet salad followed by the crab cake entree. I had the chicken and waffle soup followed by the braised beef brisket. We shared the hush puppies. The soup was described by Emily as being like a chicken pot pie. I was served a creamy chicken soup with two very small - about the size of a quarter - waffles on the side of the cup. Wouldn’t one slightly larger waffle on top of the soup make a better presentation and be truer to the description? The soup itself was very good. My entree, being a braised beef, should have been able to be pulled apart with a fork. I needed to cut mine with a knife. It simply was not fork tender. In my opinion, the meat was not braised properly and/or for the proper length of time. Beef brisket is not very forgiving. Diners want to enjoy the selection as it is described on the menu. This really missed the mark to the point of deception. On another note, at one point we had on our table two large entree plates, the hush puppy plate, my soup cup and dish, my wife’s large beet salad plate, the bread basket, two water glasses, a wine glass, and a martini glass. This was not because we were slow eaters - my wife had a bite or two of her salad and I a spoonful or two of my soup - and surprise here come the entrees. Dishes were cleared while we ate but the damage was done. There was a disconnect between front and back of the house. Entrees should have come out about 10 minutes later. Remember that if the diners are rushed they don’t have the time to spend more money, right?
