   We sat out on the patio. Peak view of the ocean. Helpful and pleasant server. We shared the coconut shrimp - some of the best we've had - the brussel sprouts did not disappoint and we shared the ahi entree. Will definitely go back!

   Unfortunately we won't be going back. I ordered the lemongrass peanut chicken stir fry. The chicken had gristle and the dish was gloppy. A bowl of julienned peppers and onions with chunks of chicken on a bed of white rice and smothered in a non-descript peanut sauce. Neither I or my dining partner could eat it. The waitress was pleasant, took our feedback and apologized. My friend & I both ordered the one chardonnay on the menu (never heard of the brand). Hers was a 1/2 filled wine glass with a carafe still 1/2 full. Mine was a 1/2 filled wine glass. No accompanying carafe.

   I wish they put a little more heart and soul in this place in the interior design. They have an awesome opportunity to become a standout local restaurant. Unfortunately, their paint palette makes it look dated, tables have nothing interesting, and the wall art is bland. It already looks tired and lends nothing to a cool experience. It would be so easy to create a great dining experience with a few thoughtful touches. They should spend the money on an interior designer! Staff is good, most of the food selections are solid and the location as always is sweet.

   Opening weekend and “first ever Easter Brunch”! We were proud to support this new local place that took over in the classic Zel’s prime spot in Del Mar. Hostess and servers were all very nice. Food was tasty but very small portions for the price. We had the mushroom omelet and the tres leches French toast. I wish there had been more “presentation” — more fruit and garnish with the French toast, some greens with the omelet. I’m sure they’ll fine tune. We’ll be back.

   We had a great date night at Coral! Loved the cocktails, food, and ambiance! A very nice addition to the neighborhood! We will be back!

   We had a hard time choosing which of the small plates to share, but we loved the chicken skewers and the brussel sprouts. Can't wait to come back and try some of the others. I also loved the Coral Spritz!

   Opening night dinner and the place was packed. Wait staff were so friendly and apologetic for wait times. Everything was a little slow - had our appetizer on the table before we had plates or water and wasn’t until almost the end of the meal before we had our water glasses replenished. Opening night jitters. The place looks great and the food is solid. Looking forward to many more meals here to check out the rest of the menu.
