Chef Chiarello feels that Spain’s signature ‘small plates’ coupled with the social vibrancy of their dining scene is the perfect combination for San Francisco, which has its own deep-rooted history with the country. Focusing on regional dishes from Madrid, Catalonia, the Basque Country and beyond, the menu will feature Chiarello's interpretation of traditional Spanish cuisine and, as has always been his tradition, will highlight the bounty of fresh, local ingredients from land and sea.

Coqueta means “flirt” or “infatuation” in Spanish, and represents Michael Chiarello and his team’s exploration and interpretation of Spanish Cuisine, wine and inspired cocktails, while highlighting the bounty of Northern California.

PHENOMENAL visit to Coqueta, somehow has only gotten better over the years. Our waitress (girl with bangs and gold earrings) went above and beyond. We left her a fat tip, she deserves it!

It's a lovely place in a beautiful area. The tapas are hit and miss. So, I was a little disappointed with the food. The croquets, ambassador and church's were very good. Should serve more bread to use with oil and sauces. Dates, albondigas and patatas bravas were just ok. Still, we had a nice time.

We’re from out of state and try to go to Coqueta whenever we’re in SF. It was excellent. Service was excellent. We were at the chef’s counter and it was fun interacting with Victoria CID the head chef! Will be back next time we’re in town!

Great food, cocktails and beautiful atmosphere. Great recommendations from the waiter for allergies and avoidances. Mushrooms were one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Lively vibe, great location. Helpful & friendly service with spot-on recommendations. We made a dinner for two of 5 tapas selections + dessert. Stand-outs were the Champinones, tuna tartare, beet salad, and calamari!

Terrible experience!!! This is not traditional food from Spain. I'm from Galicia Spain. Is impossible to eat on old piece of wood!!!They over charge and the food is no even good!! No recommendations!!!
