COQUETA - San Francisco
NEW: Coqueta Napa Valley located in Yountville.
Coqueta means “flirt” or “infatuation” in Spanish, and represents Michael Chiarello and his team’s exploration and interpretation of Spanish Cuisine, wine and inspired cocktails, while highlighting the bounty of Northern California.
We waited for the Paella more than 40mins. We know that we need to wait for 30-40mins. Morethan 40mins is to much
We spent Valentines Day here celebrating the special day and this place did not disappoint! Our server was very personable and attentive throughout the evening. He even got the chef to sign / date our empty bottle o vino. We loved the food (we had the Paella) and the ambiance and will definitely return when we’re in town.
Definitely best with groups who like to share and experiment with amazing food. And the service was beyond exceptional. Our waiter asked us what flavors we preferred and how spicy we wanted our food. He not only made what were the best suggestions, but brought them so the presentation and the Flavors all melded together excellently. I would definitely return in the future when I’m in the area.
Nice location, really great service, food is just ok
We came in for a late lunch on a beautiful sunny day.
Service was not rushed, food was delicious.
Sangria was really good.
Coqueta is an Amazing Top SF restaurant. The experience is fantastic- the ambiance, food, presentation, service, wines... a local gem and great place for special occasions. Love coming here as a local and sharing with friends outside SF
One of my favorite restaurant in San Francisco. The food is amazing, trust your waiter :) Unique decor and very warm atmosphere. A must go!
Food should be an experience- this place gets it! Wow!
And you can’t beat the location either! Will for sure be back!
We love their tapas, so many different taste treats in one meal. The servers are great too. They have that balance between being attentive but not rushing you. We have been there lots of times and we have always had a good experience.
Great food and a lively dinner. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching the kitchen. Always a favorite.
N/A, no additional feedback.
My 3rd time to Coqueta, and was a bit of a disappointment this time. I was there for lunch day after New Years with friends. Possibly the regular chef was off, the tapas were quite average, albondigas a bit on the salty side but tasty, kale salad was unfortunately boring - could use more figs and pistachos to give it a richer texture and flavor profile, patatas brava was pretty much flat except for the dipping sauce, without which you are basically just eating a mouthful of deep fried potatoes. The paella was very tasty, though seafood was a bit thin, the socarrat was definitely a miss - i.e. not there. Service was good, though the waiter was hard to find once the restaurant filled up, but everyone was very friendly. Lunch with tips (only 3 of us with 3 cocktails) was $150, which I thought was a lot considering we only had tapas and only 1 main course - the paella. I do think this was an off day for the restaurant, I will give them a pass, and try again, hopefully, it was just a holiday mishap.
We had a great time . The restaurant is overlooking the water and very cozy. We had wonderful gin and tonics and the food was also good.
Food was delicious and creative
Food was great but the cocktails were weak and expensive.
We came for our annual Christmas Eve dinner and everything was excellent as usual!
Christmas Eve dinner- Fabulous! I love this place and come often when visiting the city. Wasn’t crazy busy so noise level and energy was perfect! The staff were all fun and we appreciated that they were so social and happy! The bartenders had fun showing off their cocktail crafting and made for a really fun wait for our table.
The food is always prepared perfectly and presented beautifully. The sharing option is a great way to nosh throughout the evening with an easy and un-rushed experience!
Went for the paella and it was just ok. Definitely did not have the crispy bottom and the amount of seafood was weak. Service was great and the 2 tapas we had were very good (Brussels and smoke salmon)
Alex gave us excellent customer service! Front of the house was amazing as well in accommodating our family. Highly recommend the paella.
We asked our waiter to choose a selection of tapas for us. Everything was excellent.
Great view! Great service! Food good if you like to share.
horrible. worst meal i have ever had that i had to pay for.
Reading the 8 reviews below this one look like the same person and same writing style. Interesting enough, they all have such wonderful things to say..
The good: the wine selection was very good.
The bad: I don’t think it would be possible to make the food portions any smaller than they were. We ordered so many plates, which were tasty and unique. But it is always a bad sign when one feels like driving thru jack in the box on the way home because you are still hungry. My mistake was going to the gym before sitting down to eat here.
Service was absent most of the time. Staff was spread thin throughout the place. And the room volume was on the loud side.
Friends in town. Multi course shared meal excellent experience
Visited Coqueta for the second time, but my first in over a year. I absolutely love this place. Each dish was fantastic and our server made great recommendations. As a Spanish wine lover, their list is exceptional. I definitely recommend Coqueta.
I had a lovely 3 hour business lunch and the wait staff was terrific. Can’t wait to go back!
Every time I dine in this restaurant, I get better experience - this is a come back place. Great food. Outstanding service. Bartender is adding the best drinks to the perfect meal!!!
Excellent restaurant for business/client lunch. Enjoyed everything thoroughly.
This place never ceases to deliver - warm atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff and delicious food - a great place to gather and enjoy friends!
Love the food and their spin on Spanish tapas. A bit pricey but as long as they keep up the food quality and taste, will always go back.
I've been going to Coqueta since it first opened and still love it. The best cocktails in town. The food, the location, the decor and the vibe are great. My go to in San Francisco.
What a great experience. The food and drink selection was top notch as was the service. Can’t believe I hadn’t discovered Coqueta earlier!
Had a reservation and did not receive a table but seated at the counter. Service was indifferent and waiter useless in providing recommendations. Octopus was not even eatable. Prices were high and tapas were forgettable. Location is great for a happy hour
Too noisy and hectic for my taste. Not a relaxing time. Had a reservation and were seated at the counter. Told we could have a table if we were out in an hour and 15 minutes. Should have been told in advance if not going to get a table. Felt rushed through the whole dinner and couldn’t hear my companion because of the noise. Food came out a bit uneven so side dish arrived after the main course.
Stephen, our waiter, was phenomenal. Food was above and beyond delicious.
Took my girlfriends here for lunch for a birthday celebration. I’ve been here multiple times before. I honestly love this restaurant because of their amazing food and cocktails, and it reminds me so much spain. The only thing I was missing this day was the little pinxos they pass at the tables, although my wallet was happier that they weren’t LOL. The food is always amazing! And the gin and tonic‘s will knock your socks off they are so beautiful you don’t even want to drink them… Almost
This is my third visit to this restaurant;each time it gets progressively a little worse for the wear; nothing wows me like the first time; everything is consistently tasty but just doesnt have that little something, something. It never seems like the menu selections change and this always puts me in a rut; with such an extensive menu, nothing just pops!
Absolutely amazing experience! My husband and I have dined here often and have always enjoyed it. On this occasion we brought my mother and sister who had never dined here. We had the perfect seating by the window and unsurpassed service by Johnny. In addition to our regular favorites (those small bites on toothpicks, Smokey potato chips, croquetas de pollo, wood grilled octopus) Johnny recommended a few dishes new to us (bikini bioche and sunny side up huervos with baby shrimp) all of which were delicious! Every thing was perfect with my mother claiming this to be the best dining experience of her life and she’s 90!
