Copper Spoon is a New American restaurant focusing on seasonal, contemporary fare that highlights our Northeast Indiana producers. We work local farmers and artisans to source proteins, produce, and baked goods to provide you with the highest quality ingredients.

Our cocktail program has been nominated for a Tales of the Cocktail award for best bar/restaurant cocktail menu. We have one of the largest selections of whiskey, bourbon, rye, and scotch in Indiana. Our cocktail menu features over one hundred classic cocktails, seasonal house cocktails created by our bar team and an extensive list of spirits, wines and beers.

I surprised my husband to the Copper Spoon for his birthday. It was our first time checking this place out. The drink selection was the biggest I have ever seen (56 pages worth). The beef tallow candle was super good! We were told that The Copper Spoon is rated the best steaks in Ft. Wayne so my husband had to order one. We both agreed it needed a little more flavor so we were a little bummed on the steak. We also ordered the chicken carbonara and the noodles were more like a lomein noodle. It was a little dry, I thought it could use some more sauce. Since we were celebrating my husbands birthday he was able to choose a free dessert and he ordered the crème brûlée. We agreed that was our favorite out of everything the whole night lol. It was sooooo good!! But overall it is a nice restaurant and I am glad that we were able to check it out.

Great food and service, charging for extra bread seems ridiculous at the caliber/price point of this restaurant, but that’s the way it was. They explained it’s because of costs blah blah blah and that’s fine, but it also turned a 5 star experience into a 4 star experience due to feeling nickel and dimed on an already expensive bill.

Outstanding overall. Food, cocktails, wine and service were great. Our waiter was knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations as this was our first visit. The atmosphere is comfortable, smart casual and quiet enough to have a conversation without being uncomfortably quiet. We loved it!

The greeting from the hosts and subsequent server was excellent. The menu and specials were described with an excellent understanding of the intricacies of each dish. Drinks were excellent and delivered quite promptly. The 3 meals ordered all consisted of the chef’s choice ( 2 filets and 1 New York steaks). The problem with the meal was the fact that the potatoes were plated way before meat and as a result the potatoes were cold. This was brought to the servers attention and she offered to take the plates and fix, but with the plating so tied together this would have been a terrible event as then the meat would be cold. I shared that while we were disappointed no correction was needed at this time but to share with the manager our concerns. Next the staff brought out 3 separate servings of the potatoe but they were declined. Principal reason was tied to the fact that they were just simply not good at all. When questioned about what robuchon mashed potatoes were. She described the side, but while the kitchen intended to make the seemingly simple dish, they were flavorless and almost runny. The Demi-glacé was flavorful however. This was out second trip to the restaurant and most likely not our last, but for the premium price charged they team will need to step up their game. Management did make a slight adjustment to the ticket.

I am sorry for the experience you had, and I understand our chef has taken corrective measures with the kitchen team to ensure this doesn't happen again. The potatoes were not given ample time to reconstitute during heating, and therefore, not executed properly. They are normally very silky and compliment the dish wonderfully. I know we can do better than this, and I apologize we did not show you our best! I hope to have the opportunity to redeem ourselves soon. Thank you for letting us know.

Not too bad. Was there for a business dinner and 7 of the 8 invited showed up. I asked if the two extra chairs could be removed (it was kind of cramped) and was told “sorry, we have nowhere to put them”. Seems a little ridiculous for a party that’s going to spend upwards of $1k at your restaurant. Will most likely choose another establishment for a part over 5 or 6.

Steak dinner expensive and very small portions with the steak dinner and up charged four dollars to switch from asparagus to carrots, which is an obviously cheaper vegetable and then only got four carrots. Kind of ridiculous.

Love this place, in particular the bar. We go a couple of times a month. The bartenders, and really all staff, are extremely knowledgeable, charismatic and friendly (shout out to Alissa and Chandler). Despite the occasional snafus we have (see below), Copper Spoon remains one of our favorite restaurants. The food though…can’t go wrong with the steak, which is consistently delicious. Unfortunately 50% or more of the time, they have run out of something on the menu that I want. We go at 7pm, is that really so late for dinner?? Also, trying to make a substitution is ridiculous. Tried to get chicken instead of tofu in Thai noodles and I was told that it would cost a extra $25 or $30 (can’t remember exactly), this would have made a bowl of noodles cost > $60). Seriously, I’m not opposed to spending that much money on a main course, but it’s the principle. I have to remember drinks and appetizers only (smutty fries all day), so I won’t be disappointed!

We appreciate your continued support and for sharing some of the issues you've experienced. I do want to clarify that to add chicken to a dish is $20 because you are actually getting a full entree chicken including the tenderloin. We do not reserve additional sliced portions of product ready for add-ons, only whole breasts ready for entree portions. As for running out of items, we try our best to predict for demand, but the challenge comes w our local purveyors having a more limited delivery schedule vs. that of the chain suppliers. Also if we find ourselves in a transition of certain menu items, those can run out when they're about to change, same as our cocktails. We will continue to strive for more continuity and consistency for you and truly appreciate the feedback!

Every time we think that we've had our best meal at Copper Spoon, they outdo themselves! Once again, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The meal and drinks were nothing short of amazing, and the service was truly impeccable. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted, setting a positive tone for the evening. The menu offered a array of options, and our choices (Chef's Cut steak and Chicken Carbonara *new item*) did not disappoint. Each dish was prepared with exquisite attention to detail, and the flavors and presentation were nothing short of extraordinary. The culinary expertise was evident in every bite. As for the drinks, they were a absolutely perfect. The mixology on display was truly impressive, and the cocktails were both creative and delicious. It's evident that the bartenders are masters of their craft. Copper Spoon arguably has the best mixologists in all of NE Indiana! What truly set this dining experience apart was the service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring that our evening was perfect. From recommendations on the menu to the timing of the courses, they demonstrated a level of professionalism and care that is increasingly rare to find. In summary, our visit was an absolute delight. We chose Copper Spoon to meet up with friends from Toronto, thinking that it would be well-received vis a vis the options available in the Toronto food scene. We ate light; each couple splitting the Mista salad, which was delicious and light. Our meals were spot on (scallops with garlic risotto, a Thai dish, and salmon). The server was attentive. The overall experience compared favorably with the Toronto food scene.

One of my favorite places to eat, but our entree was cold and the frites a little to brown. Never had this happen before. Wanted to have desert but because we had to send back our food to be heated up didn't have time. Bummer.

We visited on Friday before a show. We arrived at 6:15 and placed our food and drink order at 6:20. We told our server we had a show next door at 8:00, so 1 hour and 40 minutes should have been plenty of time. At 7:20 did not have our food, so we called our server over and he said he would check on the kitchen. He never returned and around 7:30 we flagged down the manager. She checked and said they can get the food out in about 7 minutes. We just decided to cancel our order since there was no way of knowing if the food would come out or be prepared well. The restaurant wasn’t busy as there were open tables. Most likely the server forgot to put in the order…we also had to pay for our drinks, which I would have thought the restaurant would waive due to the food issue. Very strange and disappointing visit.

Jeremiah, I am very sorry to hear about the experience you had. First I want to clarify that we were indeed very busy as we were at full capacity for the show. While your server didn't forget to put the order in, your ticket was sent as "coursed" meaning you'd enjoy appetizers first and have some time before entrees were to be rung in. It was our mistake to allow this rather than explaining that we need to put the full food order in if you are to catch a show. We did comp your appetizers which were delivered and your entrees, but it is against excise laws to give away free alcohol. If there is something wrong with the drinks, that is an exception we are allowed to make. Again, I am sorry we didn't follow our show night protocol to ensure entree delivery. We'll address this with our team.

Always phenomenal service. Upscale yet inviting, never pretentious. Food is rich and indulgent but balanced. I don’t drink and it’s so, so nice to have a place to treat myself to ambience and beautifully crafted mocktails.

Unfortunately, the changes in the menu are disappointing. Not only is the salmon far inferior to what is used to be, the new burger is oily and not special, like it was prior to the recent menu change. I will likely come back time to time, but this is sadly no longer my preferred Fort Wayne restaurant.

This was our second time at Copper Spoon and the service has not improved since our first visit. The staff is very nice, and professional. Yet, from drinks to dessert, everything feels like it takes too long.

In reviewing your tickets, it looks like we took 15 minutes on apps, and entrees came soon after, but I see an unacceptable lag in the dessert times. We had a trainee on that station during your visit, but we should always have enough hands so this isn't obvious to the guests. Could you message us through our website? We'll definitely be back, but it's been awhile since visiting. Quite excited to see a little smaller menu, but felt a little let down by some of the options. Our food was good, but I think I've just had better food in my past handful of visits. Our drinks, server, and atmosphere provided were awesome though. I look at it like this, nobody is perfect and my experiences have numbered top tier more than not so 4/5 for me and hopefully 5/5 next visit.
