   We often visit The Copper Kettle, usually taking guests. We are fans, but the menu really needs to be expanded as far as entrees go. There just isn’t much selection.

   I don't think the name fits. Maybe The Copper Kettle BAR & GRILL would be a better description. Requiring reservations, and with a name like The Copper Kettle, my wife and I were expecting something closer to upscale dining than the bar & grill atmosphere we found. Selection and prices were inline with a bar & grill, at least. My wife and I both unfortunately got the $28 ribeye, and each were super-thin and not evenly cooked. Veggies were greasy and the baked potatos were so cold they couldn't melt butter :/ Expectations are everything, I guess. Should've gotten the hamburger and fries instead. Probably would've been more their forté.

   Looks nowhere near as nice as the photo on the website but perfectly adequate food and drinks after a day skiing - think soups, salads, burgers, steak and fries. Lovely service from Cecile. Nice fire and big windows looking onto slopes. A small selection of wines from around the world. Value for money not too bad. Still feels a bit like a school cafeteria, one rung up from the Shenandoah cafe on-site which truly resembles a school cafeteria and is a bit cheaper. Lots of people bring their own food and sit outside.

    This was our first time at Copper Kettle Restaurant. We enjoyed a wonderful drive from Culpeper over the mountain to Bayse. The parking lot was full of cars for skiers so we had to park a little distance away but a very friendly gentleman in a golf cart gave us a ride to the restaurant. We were seated immediately (we had reservations). Food was excellent. We sat by the fireplace but could see the skiers. Our server was from Peru on a work exchange program for three months...very delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed this change of pace for us

    We had lunch and it was delicious. Our waitress was Cecille and she was excellent. Was a beautiful day, we watched the skiers and really enjoyed it.

    The resort was lovely. Food was expensive and not great quality. Tip was added to the bill without notice. Buffet price was not advertised and was $50 each. Service was below average. The wait for the bar was extensive and the bar was out of several basic ingredients. The fireworks and torch ceremony made up for almost all of it.

    We made a reservation on NYE and no where did it say it would be buffet, so we were extremely disappointed when we arrived to see it was buffet only. The food was not great, not very hot, and limited options as we had some vegetarians in the group which made the $50 fee not worth it.

    We watched a table sit for 15 min. before a server even greeted them. Our appetizer was delivered seconds before our meal & approximately 30 minutes after it was ordered. Our salads were wilted & came out with no dressing.

    Fun place to eat! You can see the slopes from almost every table. Food was good not excellent. I ate shrimp and grits. The grits were bland . My nephew enjoyed his club sandwich. Portions were Large. I would return .

    Ordered a hot Irish coffee, the first two or freezing cold. Finally the waitress brought us a hot one after she said that they didn’t have the burner on for the coffee tried to order two different types of beers, and both of those were out, however were left on the board, it was crazy busy I understand things run out. However, when you’re trying to talk someone into buying a corporate membership, it does not look good.

    Waitresses did not approach our table until 15 min after we were seated. Food was ok at best. They screwed up my wife’s steak 3 times. No apology to try to make the situation better they just took the plate and walked off. We had to request refills on our drinks all dinner.

    Copper Kettle is usually fantastic, so we must have been there on a bad night. We had reservations for 8:00, so it was the end of a very busy day for them, but the waitress advised us early on that they were out of many things—some of our favorites. We love it here and the food is always good, but we were disappointed that restaurant did not seem to be well enough prepared for their busiest week of the year. Should you eat at this restaurant? Absolutely, because our experience this time was NOT the norm.

    Dinner Wednesday night using open table for reservations. Reservations are a good idea as it gets crowded. Service was great and food was delicious for our group of 6. Great value and near the slopes and timeshare.

    The service was great, food was hot and warm to eat. Everything was great except the hostesses. The host is very rude. Turning around many customers. Demands that we can only sit there if we have reservations. No where does it say, that it’s a reservation restaurant but are recommended. Thanks to Open table I was able to reserve a table. She has attitude as soon as you arrive at the hostess booth.

    Reservations only is ridiculous. Only 2 tables being used and refused service. This is a ski resort and kids coming off the slopes but cannot get anything to eat and Molly us extremely rude
