Enjoyed our food and our server was great.
My review is for the dinner experience only. There were many wine tastings going on during that time and they seemed quite nice. For my dining experience the first thing I'll say is that it was very loud. I wasn't expecting that going in for dinner, but the wine bar and tastings had a lot of people there and it made for more of a bar volume vice fine dining. If you expect to have a quiet conversation, probably not the place.
The wine was good, but I was taken aback by there being no sommelier to talk to us about the wine menu. Seemed odd for a wine based establishment. My scallop and shrimp risotto was good, not great. The scallops were only seared on one side and the shrimp was heavily overdone. With that said, the risotto itself was very well done and the white truffle oil was used perfectly. My wife's filet was presented horribly with rings on the plate from where it was under the heat lamp, but the cook of the meat was perfect as was the taste. Had it not been for the plating, it would have been five stars.
All in all it was a nice meal, really no major complaints. It's not on par with other fine dining establishments, but quite nice.
First time here and love the ability to try all the different wines before you decide what one you want.
Food quality varied from great entrees cooked well to poor tasteless sides that included very tough veggies. While the entrees were tasteful the filet medallions were anything but tender. Wines/drinks were very good. Noise level was intolerable. Forget about having conversions at you table. They even amped up the music to compensate. And as we all know this has the reverse affect on groups that have already reached maximum alcohol consumption. Not a fine dining experience, more of a sports bar atmosphere.
Need to do something about noise level. We were a table of 6 and could not hear each other! Very anoying!
Always a wonderful time, always a bit loud. Tonight there was a table next to us that was extremely loud and boisterous. I’m glad they had a good time, and eventually we blocked out the noise and concentrated on the food.
My family and I came here for a night out before my husband leaves for work for a while. It was an amazing experience. The food was delicious, our waitress was great, and every staff member had a smile on their face. I even signed up for a membership! We will definitely be back.
Tables are too close together. I could hear the conversations at the tables next to us. Overall the restaurant was very loud and the food was overpriced
We enjoyed ourselves.
Group of friends who are wine club members went for a wine tasting then dinner. As always, had great food and service!
The service is great. All were very attentive and right on top of everything including simple things like keeping your glass filled. Checking as they pass making sure all was well. (Liz was kind and awesome). Manager stopped at our table to say hello. The food was great. We’ve had several meals here and have never been disappointed. The wine is good and the atmosphere was quiet considering the crowd. We’ll definitely be back
I took my boyfriend here for his 21st birthday, I wanted to go to a place that was mature, reasonably priced with tasty food and this restaurant definitely delivered. We ordered the southern chicken, pasta and the bubbly wine and all in all we were both content with the visit. The food was seasoned to a T!! You can dress up or dress business casual and not feel uncomfortable.
We raved about the food to our friends! So they joined us on our second trip. Unfortunately on this busy night all 4 of us were disappointed with our choices. We were compensated for our disappointment and will be back on a less busy day of the week. We were greeted by upbeat staff and our server was attentive and charming.
Beautiful restaurant walking in with Wine Tasting area to the left. After being seated we sat there close to 10 minutes in an empty restaurant before I brought it to the attention of management who fixed it right away. After that our server was wonderful. The selection of wines was wonderful as was their flavor. The food was good but I feel a little overpriced.
Always a great meal and great service here! Must start with a tasting before the meal
Been here four times, and the food has been excellent every time! While we had a different server each time, each was most friendly and efficient. Our last server, Aliona, was particularly great!
The wine tasting also makes this venue fun to visit as most who pour are quite knowledgeable.
This was our second visit and we had an equally pleasant time. Reservations are easy through Open Table, our table looked into the kitchen which was fun, our server was knowledgeable and awesome, our food was amazing, and the price was good for an upscale restaurant. No one in our party of 5 had a bad meal. The suggested wine pairings were perfect and overall, our evening was fabulous. Cooper’s Hawk is a great restaurant for any special occasion or for an amazing glass of wine!
Love the food. The staff is always so welcoming. One of my favorite places to go & drink wine.
