A family-owned business, Cook St. Helena, is a neighborhood establishment through and through that continues to bring people together around fresh, handmade, delicious food in a warm, casual atmosphere. We opened Cook in 2004 to show the locals and tourists alike that food does not need to be complicated to taste great!

Food was fabulous. Best risotto ever! Service was great. Music was way too loud. But we loved our experience overall!

Delicious, homemade, unpretentious food. Bolognese was sublime, as was the white nectarine and prosciutto salad. Would have been good to know the price of the risotto before we ordered it. The flavor and consistency didn’t match the price for us.

We enjoyed a very good meal at Cooks, good service but pretty noisy. We had to ask the waiter twice to repeat the specials due to noise. My husband had the bolognese (delicious!) and I had the spaghetti with shrimp and clams - tails on shrimp and clams in shells. The broth it was in was delicious and overall a good dish. The burrata appetizer with pesto was a stand out - we asked for crostini to go with it which is definitely needed. We would definitely order that again if we're ever back to the area. My husband had a Manhattan that was very good, although a small serving and wines by the glass are small pours. All in all an enjoyable dining experience. The space is small, tables are tight, just fyi.

The energy/vibe was excellent, as was our server. The food was amazing, super fresh, not over seasoned... We had the burrata, Caesar's salad, and two of the homemade pasta dishes. Highly highly recommended!

Our waiter at the bar was great. The Owner/Chef brought out our entrees and we discussed the meal and ambiance. The specials were very good and inventive, the flourless chocolate cake with butter pecan and whipped cream was excellent. Overall an enjoyable experience with excellent food and wine at a good price
