   A friend and I drove up to St. Helena for lunch at Cook. He had never been there and was looking forward to it based on my reviews. We ordered the following shared plates: the mussels with housemade sausage in a spicy tomato broth with grilled bread, fazzoletti bolognese with housemade ricotta, and eggplant parmesan. The mussels were large, plump, flavorful, and juicy. The sausage was delicious, and the spicy tomato broth had just the right amount of heat. Our only regret was not asking for more bread to sop it up! After taking his first bite, my friend mumbled, "Oh my God, this is wonderful!" The bolognese complemented the supple fazzoletti beautifully (fazzoletti translates to "handkerchief"). The sauce was flavorful and straightforward. Hearty and comforting in each bite. The eggplant parmesan was perfection. Light, flavorful, and delicious. We finished our meal with the apple and huckleberry crisp with vanilla ice cream. My friend said, "I'll have only one bite... yeah right...He ate half of it! I know there are some exceptional restaurants in Napa Valley, but I have to say, Cook St. Helena is right up there among the best of them! Keep up the good work!

   That’s Italian food I’ve ever had. While I have yet to go to Italy, we have been to our fair share of fantastic Italian restaurants. This place dethroned our favorite in Little Italy, New York. Can’t wait to go back. This place is amazing. Try the risotto.

   Everyone's dinner (party of four) was delicious. Our server, Michael, was wonderful! Fun, informed and efficient! Great Time!

   We ate here ~10 yrs ago and it was just as good today. Thank you for maintaining your excellent level of quality

   I loved the style of the restaurant, small but upscale. Michael was a fabulous server! We had so much fun talking to him about the area St. Helena, he made us feel very comfortable and welcome. The food was wonderful, 4 of us shared Calamari, and 2 each had Fazzoletti Bolognese and 2 had Risotto with Halibut and Clams, both were wonderful. I was surprised by the price of the Risotto, but we should have asked! I would highly recommend this local hidden gem.

   Excellent chicken dish and the halibut (special menu item) was terrific. Very fresh tasting and seasoning was perfect. Nice experience.

   Great food and server recommendations. Small restaurant but no waiting required despite being pretty full. Nice ambience.

   ALWAYS so delish, fresh and seasonal! Love how Jude embodies his lovely personality, amazing palate with his guests. But remember, friends, you need to book in advance and be mindful he is closed on the weekends to enjoy his family.🥰
