Convivo is a Santa Barbara restaurant and bar with an Italian soul. Chef-Owner Peter McNee's food is best described as ‘Nomad Italian’. It strays from the standard or traditional Italian, sourcing inspiration from many other cultures’ cooking but its soul is thoroughly Italian. The ever-changing menu includes small plates, housemade pasta, wood-fired pizza, rotisserie chicken, fresh seafood and steaks served family-style. McNee’s all-star supplier network provides the freshest produce and local seafood the region is famous for.

Inspired by the bounty of the sea, the lush farms and abundant vineyards nearby and the cooking methods of Italy, Convivo is a festive gathering place for locals and visitors alike inside the newly-restored Santa Barbara Inn.

One of my favorite restaurants in town. Even though the vegan options are limited, they are so good that I keep coming back. The outdoor patio is so lovely. The staff are always welcoming. Convivo is a Santa Barbara gem!

Came to Convivo for Mother's Day brunch. Expected something special for brunch but menu appeared to be basic. We were seated inside rather than outside - so the ambiance was not what it could have been. Food was good, portions smaller but just right. We're local so will try another brunch spot for next Mother's Day.

Went on a gloomy cold evening and risked outside, which was great. Good heating lamps. Been many times but this time the pizza was POOR - dry and no lemon on the lemon pizza. BUT the mixed sea food grill was GREAT - a bit pricey but really worth it. I will be glad to go back. LOVE the out door seating. Great hostess. The server sweet and adorable but was a bit flakey and forgot many things but the rest of the staff were top drawer.
