Went to the rooftop and it was a nice set up. Problem was getting service as the waiter had to attend to all the tables on the rooftop. Great happy hour specials, great drinks, delicious dood
Good menu. Food was well-prepared, and portions were generous. Calamari Salad was huge and well-seasoned, with lots of sesame; calamari itself was ordinary but sufficient. Lobster Mac 'n Cheese would have benefited from more lobster.
We usually eat at the market St. location, second time at this location. I ordered my usual continental salad with dressing on the side. The first two bites tastes "off" as if dressing were on it...My mouth puckered and I swore there was salt all over it- something I am very sensitive to and need to limit. I spoke to the waitress and with no problem took it back to the kitchen. A few minutes later, the manager came over and confirmed that indeed, the chef did put salt all over the salad. Very nice, very apologetic. When the bill came, they took off my salad including the added chicken from the bill. Good food, service, and customer service.
The Continental has improved massively since my last visit. Food was good, service was excellent, and staff were kind, courteous and on top of everything. A vast improvement on my last visit. Great atmosphere as well. Will definitely go back!
My daughters 17 birthday with 10 of her friends !!!
Loud atmosphere in addition to loud music playing via audio system. Asked for a window booth but they balked and said they’re reserved for larger parties. This was just me and the gf out in a date so only
2 in our parry.
Apps were tuna tartare which was fantastic and also hummus with pita triangles. While the hummus was freshly prepared it lacked something, garlic or spices or something? It was good, but a bit bland to be called great. I’m Armenian so I know good hummus when I taste it. She had the salmon poke bowl which was full of fresh ingredients and delicious, I had the stuffed meatballs which were also very good. Jeli (like peanut butter) was our waitress and she did a fantastic job serving us and also her recommendation for a cocktail (Perfect Pear) put a smile on my boo’s face! The maitre d was also attentive to fill my empty espresso martini. Overall, very good food, reasonable prices for the city, and will most likely be back sometime soon.
The experience was overall disappointing. I have been to several Starr restaurants and had been impressed until now. The size of the drinks would have been acceptable if they were better. The food was okay, but mediocre compared to other Starr restaurants such as The Love, Parc, or Alma de Cuba. The ambiance is cool and retro and our server was perfectly nice. In the end the food and drinks just were not worth the cost.
We had one of the best dining experiences at the Continental Midtown. To begin with, the food and atmosphere are fantastic. We could have ordered everything on the menu and been happy. From taste to temperature and everything in between...perfect! The atmosphere is hip and energetic which makes the experience that much more memorable. With all that said, the absolute best part of the experience was the service. O-U-T-S-T-A-N-D-I-N-G! Our main server's name is Jelly. She was a total delight and so great at answering our many questions. She was willing to make suggestions that were spot on. We also interacted with part of the management team, AJ. Like Jelly, AJ was absolutely fantastic. He took the time to make sure we were enjoying our meal. It means a great deal to me as a business owner when leadership takes time to genuinely engage with the customers and AJ did just that. Perfect dinner! Go.
so much fun, great food, great service!
The Continental Midtown was a nice unique experience. Great restaurant layout and even better cocktails. The gritty is the adult version to ordering an orange crush and I couldn't have been happier with it since being slightly hungover. We ordered the burger which was exceptional and the soup dumplings. The dumplings were a great concept but it was so hot we wouldn't actually eat them for about 20 minutes. The middle needs to be slightly more soupy and not as gelatinous.
these are small things though the entire experience was a great Saturday afternoon. Definitely planning to head back with friends.
Food and drinks were great! Made a reservation but showed up a few minutes early and were seated right away.
I came here for brunch with a friend and my one year old. We were one of the first tables and received great service from Joe! Food was great, and everyone we encountered was very accommodating to my one year old. I know children in the restaurant industry can be a hassle sometimes so I appreciated it immensely.
All good. We enjoyed our team and the staff made us feel like home
The lobster Mac & Cheese was delicious .
Had a drink during happy hour at the bar before sitting at the table (basket chairs upstairs). This plays passes the vibe check for sure. Delicious food (crispy brussel sprouts, salmon poke bowl and BBQ chicken quesadilla)
Great service and very reasonable! Highly recommended!
It was perfect
Service was great from the hostess to the server! Will definitely be back, this was my first visit.
Excellent food & atmosphere with great service from staff! We had the seared tuna and quesadilla, which were both amazing. Def would recommend.
Great Cobb salad!
Great service for a surprise birthday get together! Our server was awesome, making great sharing plate recommendations and kept everyone’s glass full.
Overall excellent. We did have a hair in our dinner but the staff dealt with it.
This is one of my favorite places to go when I am in town for business. Good service and some fun food choices. I love the french onion soup dumplings!
Awesome food, excellent service, a great night overall!
Though we were one of the youngest patrons, my wife and I enjoyed our experience. We sat on the second floor looking down on the crowd below in suspended wicker chairs - very comfortable and cool! The alcohol was a little pricey but the menu was reasonable with many middle sized plates available to share or consume for yourself. We split the edamame and roasted carrots. The edamame was fresh and the carrots were amazing having a mild white sauce that was not overpowering. For our entree, my wife had the tuna rare over a bed of mushroom risotto which she enjoyed. I had the chicken lettuce wraps and ricotta meatballs. I did not realize the Continental gives you 5-meatballs and the lettuce wraps were abundant. Both dishes were fantastic. Thank goodness we walked around Rittenhouse Square a few times as the meal was larger than expected. We had a great time and a worthwhile meal.
Great food, service, drinks and atmosphere!
Amazing food and fantastic service! 10/10 would recommend.
Such a wonderful experience! The atmosphere of the restaurant was so lovely and the food was delicious. Our waitress was super kind and helpful and it was an overall great experience.Only comment I can make is that we had a reservation and got there in time, yet still waited for around 15-20 minutes for our table.
Their food is consistently good. I wish they still had the Mexican Chopped Salad on their menu but their other salad choices are equally as yummy.
I love this place, love both locations. Never disappoints. Amazing food, martinis, and service!
amazing drinks and food! took my best friend here for here birthday and it did not disappoint! moderately priced as well! loved the french onion dumplings and the basket seating upstairs was such a vibe. loved it!
First floor booth was so noisy that It was difficult to enjoy our conversation. Food not warm & not much flavor
Our server was great and the ambiance of the interior is cool and retro, but the food (and this is my second time visiting this location) was not worth the second attempt of trying this place.
Waited 15 minutes beyond our reservations time because they did not have our table ready, very very unorganized staff.
Other people we were dining with had much better experiences previously. The food was adequate. But did not live up to the hype. I’d like to try it again - maybe it was an off day.
Nice service, great food
Service, atmosphere and food is excellent. Our server Dani was the best; I’ll be sure to request him every time I visit. If you’re a meat eater try the cheesesteak egg rolls! I also had the salmon sashimi poke bowl and that was really good. I’ll be back to try the desserts.
Always a great time at continental! Just can’t go wrong!! My forever favorite spot 💯
Place could use some tlc. The women’s bathroom is falling apart.
Great food and service!!
