Always a great dining experience. We went for Sunday brunch, food and cocktails were amazing. Will definitely be returning.
What’s the rush? Fastest meal I ever had could not finish one item before next was on table
We had about 5 people, and we were sitting in one of the booths in the lower floor. The booths were comfortable and looked cool, but not designed with logistics in mind — the servers often had to reach over you to deliver plates or retrieve them because they obviously can’t walk around the table for better access.
Still, we had a great time, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was great!
Delicious salmon poke bowl. Fin atmosphere for a businesss lunch downtown!
Excellent. An accident happened where the seat had sauce and I sat in it, but this was unavoidable.
Second time here-great food!!!!
Always fun to go here! Great atmosphere. But, wish the Philly midtown restaurant had the same menu as Atlantic City.
Cool and modern ambiance, great time!
Good for business lunch. Fast service.
One of my favorite breakfast and lunch places in center city. Nice menu, good atmosphere and great service. I’ve been here once for dinner and wasn’t too crazy about the menu.
We have been there a number of times and we always have a great time. The wait staff is always top notch, the food hot and tasty and unlike some restaurants, the food comes quickly and there is never an issue. We highly recommend Continental Midtown for small or large groups.
Delicious, tasty food will be back!
Brunch was great. Nice meal. Well managed restaurant.
Came in for New Years. The food was great. A little loud with the DJ but we had a great time. There was plenty of energy. The service staff was all in the right mood and worked really hard with the crowds. Great time. Looking at doing another Starr restaurant next year.
I have never been disappointed at Midtown, but for NYE I was a little annoyed at the hostess. I requested a table downstairs because my mother can't climb stairs, and while I did get a table downstairs, when I went to be seated, I was seated at a three seater table. I asked for a booth, there 3 open, and was told they were reserved. I don't like small tables because it makes it difficult to share plates, but ok. I went to sit down and the chair was soaked with something that spilled, and instead of just switching out the chair with another, it took the hostess almost 3 minutes to get me another chair, while I stood there in front of the entire restaurant. Also, the booths remained opened the ENTIRE hour we were there. I would never stop coming to Midtown, but not letting us sit in a booth while it sat open that entire time seemed silly.
Food was excellent as always, however our server left a lot to be desired. He was not friendly, in-fact he was borderline outright rude.
Very interesting decor, seating was great! We were on the 2nd level which positioned us to both enjoy our meal & people watch! Great wait staff and friendly hosts and management. My 1st time here, will definitely return!
Great food quirky atmosphere fun for an afternoon in the city
Kid friendly. Quick service. Good food
Fun place in center city. Roof top has great happy hour and heated lamps during winter months
Amazing inventive food that is well executed. The drinks are not great - house cocktails were WAY too sweet and the wine was iffy. Great service and incredible ambiance!
Delicious food and great atmosphere!
Good food and interesting twists on conventional food. The service has been consistently poor. It is overpriced even for the area, but the food is consistently good. They need to better train their servers. Really sub-par.
Love this place, come here just for the Lobster Mac and Cheese!
Service was extremely slow & bus fumes entering the dining area was nauseating...
Not enough staff
The atmosphere and ambiance was outstanding. The food was delicious. Our waiter was not. He was rude and unattentative. We were there for lunch while visiting Macy's light show and The Christmas Village and we did look festive and touristy. Maybe that offended him. I'm not sure but I probably won't go back. This was the first time in a Starr Restaurant that I didn't feel special.
Food was great but the service was inattentive the entire time we were there
Went for dinner. Food was solid, but I much prefer breakfast.
It was an amazing first time coming to the continental, the food was excellent, the ambient was as well. I enjoyed everything over all.
It was a great experience!!! Loved all the food especially the apps!
This is always one of my go to places. The food is unusual without being over the top. The lobster mac and cheese is a must! The skirt steak was cooked to perfection. The only misstep was everything was not delivered at once, but the management was upset too. Imagine taking off the late dish off the bill!! I could not have asked for more. I did not even complain, they just did it! Wonderful people, wonderful place! Don't miss it!
The best crunchy calimari salad anywhere!
Food and service was good. A little costly.
The restaurant needs a refresh. It feels a bit neglected by Stephen Starr
Delicious food. I had the calamari salad and my daughter and friend had the lobster Mac and cheese. The portions are large. The Mac and cheese could have easily been shared. We also shared the French onion dumplings. They are amazing.
We had brunch here and I found the food lacking and over priced. I had the smoked salmon hash. It had hardly any salmon in the hash and was mainly little bits of potatoes. My wife’s quesadilla was mostly black beans and eggs with little cheese. The seating is benches and these are awkward and tipsy. The noise level is loud and difficult to hear a conversation. And yes there is a double mirror looking into the restrooms; very creepy. I spoke to the host about it.
