   We arrived for our reservation on time and were seated on the rooftop as reserved. After 15 minutes the hostess came to us and said it was going to start raining soon and asked if we’d like to stay there or if we’d like to move inside to the lounge. we said we’d go inside. She sent us down to the host who had no idea what was going on. She was rude and told us we would be able to go up to the lounge. We went up to the lounge and the server there told us we had to check in with the host! Seriously? We were 40 minutes past our reservation at this point. Once we explained to the server she said we could sit in the lounge. The lounge has small 2 person mini tables and animals cushions. It was very dark and intimate - not right for a business lunch. We ended up just leaving due to the crappy communication and poor service.

   Server forgot to put the order for our monkey bread in and I received tapped water instead of the requested aqua pana. Not impressed for a Star restaurant!

   Always a good meal at Continental! Service is impeccable and speedy, and the speed never impacts the quality of the food! Will always recommend this restaurant.

   So generally I like the Continental. This was a mediocre experience, however with quite a few things going on on the upstairs floor. The tables were set up so that one our party's seat was between two benches/cushions (There was like a hole that would have to be sat across.) and we had to ask to move. There was a fan blowing on high (you would think it was 80° but it was like 70), and while they were able to turn it down a bit they wouldn't turn it off (We and the party initially next to us were freezing). Finally, it took over an hour after appetizers to get our food. Not typical for our experience there, but this time it wasn't so great.

   Fantastic hip brunch spot with a wide variety of their unique dinner items and elevated brunch favorites. Service excellent. Highly recommend Chilaquiles, but with poached eggs and a peach mimosa!

    I used to go to the Continental Mid-Town for drinks frequently when I was younger, but never actually had dinner there. It had probably been about 12 years since I was last there, so I figured I would take my wife here for dinner and see how the food was. I always liked the vibe in this place, it's very energetic and lively. Unfortunately, now that I'm older and just wanted to have a conversation with my wife over dinner, I realized how loud it is in this place. The music is blaring like I'm in a club and my wife and I had to scream at each other all night. But I tried to not let that put a damper on my evening. We each ordered a drink while we decided on our meal choices and they were excellent! However, the food was not as excellent. We ordered chicken lettuce wraps for our appetizer and it was just okay. I got crab pasta and my wife got curried shrimp. Both were decent but not amazing. I guess this place really is a better drinking spot than a date night dinner place. With that being said, the prices were reasonable for a center city restaurant, definitely lower than some of the surrounding restaurants. So or what I paid, the food was pretty good. It didn't wow us but we still enjoyed it. f We did not venture up to the rooftop bar, which is the highlight here. I've spent many drunken nights at that bar and had a ton of fun. So if I go back to the Continental, I'll most likely just go there for drinks at the rooftop bar. I'll call out that the drinks were around the same price or almost the same price as the main dinner choices, so be prepared for an expensive night of drinking if that's what your here for. Final rating - This is a fun place to hang out with really good drinks, but don't expect a fine dining or even upscale dining experience. As long as you go in there with this expectation, the Continental is a go-to Philly spot!
