We went there for our anniversary dinner and our server Melanie made us feel so welcome, she even gave us complimentary glasses of champagne for the occasion! Melanie is incredible. The food was spectacular, albeit pricey but worth it for a special occasion. I recommend going during their happy hour period from 2-7pm (we went on a Saturday and they still offered this) for better deals on their shared plates and cocktails. We were so impressed by the pulpo octopus, the smoked fish dip. the pork sliders, and the fried plantains with ice cream for dessert.

My husband and I were celebrating our first anniversary. The staff at Common were exceptional and kind. I have a lot of food restrictions and still found something amazing to eat on their menu. It was a great experience, I wish we lived closer to go again soon!

This gastropub is my kinda place. It checks off all the boxes as per my stars review. This was my first visit and I had an idea that the menu was a good one but I didn't know how well prepared the food would be. The chef knows what I like which is upscale pub food. The short ribs were outta sight. Interestingly enough is the wine offer. They claim more than 600 different labels, one of which should keep anyone happy. The beer selection was meager so I think they should also offer draft. Our server was well trained and good service. The atmosphere was dark and lively for early in the evening. It even has an oyster bar. I ordered a dozen which I haven't done in quite awhile.

There is a good dinner and then there is dining! This was fine dining. The ambiance of the restaurant, the service and the food were all outstanding! Great Restaurant

There was an Open Table glitch when we booked so “there wasn’t a high-to bar table” available (only have 4 tables and we were #5) but they sat us at a table by the wall. They called to confirm our reservation so they could have told me this when they called. The appetizers came out promptly and were very good. There was a long wait for our dinners but we weren’t in a huge rush. The dinner was also very good. Would recommend Common.

Absolutely fantastic again! Service was exceptional. The oysters fresh and reasonably priced! The crab cake appetizer was a perfect flavor explosion. The mani and pineapple perfect!

We had the short rib and tempeh. Both were amazing, but the short rib was served upon some of the sweetest, most flavorful corn bread I’ve ever had, and I love cornbread. We really enjoyed our meal.

My rating would have been 4 stars had the menu included a few choices of salad plates. Oysters are fine but a bit of green would have been a good accompaniment to the entrees.

This was not our first visit here. The food has, consistently, been good and this time was no different. Our service was excellent and I see the owner has been making some small changes that improve the already pleasant ambiance. Love the beautiful table in the front window! We will be back!

We ended up choosing a table outside because the noise level was more than we wanted. You can’t get away from street noise but the people watching is always interesting. The food was amazing. The scallops with risotto was perfect! Brittany, our server was spot on. Will be back soon

Had a really nice meal at Common. Enjoyed the ghost pepper and mezcal oysters and the tuna tartare. The bruschetta was not that good. The bread was stale, should be grilled. One of us had the scallop risotto, which was excellent, and another had the salmon dish which was perfectly cooked and delicious although the sauce was too sweet for our tastes and too much of it so would order on the side or less. We tried the roasted plantains and vanilla ice cream for dessert, which was great. Excellent service from our waitress! We would definitely return.

If you have not been for “aperitif” / happy hour, go! This place is typically so loud beyond comfort level for me IMO, but it was calm & quiet. Food was outstanding & service was awesome!! We had oysters, cheese & bread board, & the buffalo cauliflower pimento cheese sliders. Drinks were yummy, All the food was incredible & price couldn’t be beat!

Our dinner and drinks were fabulous. The white gumbo is a definite must. The Fried Chicken Caprese delicious and more than enough for two people! Our server, Brittany, was delightful; sweet, informative and attentive. Atmosphere is warm and inviting and not too loud or stuffy. Loved it!

Chicken and biscuits included only one small piece of chicken. Shrimp and grits weren’t the greatest, not very flavorful even with the chorizo. Ran out of Oat milk by 10:30 and they don’t carry any tea. Service was great and the restaurant was beautiful. But unfortunately the food wasn’t the best start to the day for us.

The food was fantastic and we really enjoyed our cocktails as well. However, my husband and I watched multiple parties be seated after us and leave before us. Our waiter came to the table very sparingly. We sat down and ordered our drinks, appetizer and meal all at the first visit to our table. Our appetizer came to the table 1 hour after we sat down. By the time we paid the check it had been 2 full hours of mostly waiting for our food/drinks.

Made a reservation about a week in advance. We were meeting friends who were driving from Florida and they were running about 15 minutes late. We were not allowed to sit down at our table without the other guests, so we had to stand outside. Really only is unfortunate for the waitress and bottom line, because we would have ordered drinks and tipped accordingly. It was also our anniversary. On top of that, it took about a a half hour to get our first round of drinks... If only we sat earlier! Food was okay. My husband loved his scallop and farro meal. I got the mussels which were underwhelming, and some of them weren’t open. Not the first place I’d recommend when visiting a vibrant culinary scene like Savannah.

Very good food! I’m from out of town so can’t speak to the oyster experience across other places but the prepared oysters we got (caprese and wakame) were very good. Scallop risotto was delicious!
