   Service was great. However, food was average at best. I had the Fried Chicken Caprese. It was a huge portion of chicken- 2 large pieces. It was cooked well but lacked depth of flavor. It was if the chicken itself had not been seasoned. The Gouda grits were hard, stiff and cold, not creamy as one would expect grits to be. My husband’s Pineapple Situation was similar in that the mahi was cooked perfectly but lacked the flavor profile promised as ‘Thai chili citrus glazed’. There was no depth of flavor… it was just average. Noise level was off the charts and the restaurant was not even full at our earlier dining time. For $150 for two people, I expected it to be better.

   We went for brunch/lunch and all of us loved our entrees. The burgers were some of the best we have ever had! The pork belly donut sliders with maple bourbon syrup were absolutely delicious. Staff is personable and professional. Definitely going back.

   We had an excellent time here at Common - as we always do! This is one of our "go to" places when guests come visit us in Savannah. The food is always excellent and the atmosphere is a lot of fun while still allowing us to converse with our guests. The cocktail menu is fun to explore and we all had different concoctions that were well balanced and tasty!

   We loved it! Our waiter (maybe Todd), was attentive, laid back and friendly without being annoying. The drinks were excellent ( old fashioned and daiquiris) and the food very well executed. We had the mussels that were on special, shrimp and grits (a touch salty but solid) and “dinner” burger. We will come back next time we are in Savannah!

    Wow!! This is one of the best restaurants we have been to in some time, and we are from Charleston. The hush puppies and dipping sauce were fantastic. We had the Champaign and the pickled truffle fries, and that blew our mind. That does not even count how incredible our meals were. Great ambiance, cool setting and incredible service. You are making a mistake if you do not plan ahead and get into Common for a meal, no matter the occassion.
