Comedor and award-winning Chef Philip Speer serve Michelin recommended, modern Mexican cuisine with Texas influences and a focus on sourcing organic and sustainable ingredients through Austin area farmers. Comedor won Best New Restaurant in Texas by Texas Monthly, Best New Restaurants in the United States by Esquire and Robb Report, and has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Condé Naste Traveler. Comedor is also internationally recognized for its building architecture designed by world renowned architect Tom Kundig.

    Food was disappointing overall, lacked flavor. The quesadilla was horrible. Drinks were poorly. made. Service was slow, drinks came more than half way through the meal, and we had to ask two - three people for anything we needed before someone helped us.

    Food was bland, patio was dull and lifeless. Most importantly, check was presented via card terminal to the entire table so that everyone was able to see the cost of the meal - very poor taste, I've never seen that before.

    Food was very good with best quality. Service was super nice and ambience is beautiful. Staff had wrote a happy birthday card which was very thoughtful. Loved the place and highly recommended it.
