We have been to your restaurant before but it’s been awhile. We were celebrating our daughter’s birthday 7 of us. We were not excited about the food quality and feel it has gone downhill compared to prior years. New chef? We for the price we paid, we will not be back as it was comparable to a lower end Bonefish Grill. Waitstaff was very good - food quality bad.
2nd time we had been there and food was fantastic. There was a group of 6 of us and everyone from the host to our server were great. Tom was our server and he did a great job of making sure we were taken care of and had what we needed but also letting us spend time catching up! T
Fish Market always a favorite so celebrated to family birthdays last night. They were very accommodating re bringing our cakes out for dessert, but it was NOT as good as we expected. Some of the food came out cold, the clam chowder (best in town) was not as good, and their signature sour dough baguette bread was discontinued to a regular loaf of French bread. Also booked way in advance and called the day of the dinner but they put us at a round table right in the path across from the kitchen so not happy with that either.
Great location & food. Will be back!
I got there a bit later than the rest of my group. The waitress never came over to get a drink for me. I went to the bar, got a drink and came back before she made it over my filet (cooked medium) came out (literally) cold in the middle.
The waitress was so busy she didn’t have time to check on us or provide good service.
Our waitperson was very helpful in explaining options The food was delicious.
The food was excess usual. The best crab cakes in town. Ahi Tuna bowl was fresh and perfectly spiced.
The down side was the service. It was uneven. The table was not cleared after the the mains. Irish coffees took a very long time to reach the table and were served luke warm. A new server was left on his own. We were practically the only customers in the house at 3:45.
There were lots of employees around yet we felt neglected.
We will return as we always enjoy the food. I hope the kinks in service can be fixed.
Great service from our ur waitress. Food was excellent.
This is a seafood restaurant - my fish was really dry
Our food and waiter were great! Thank you!
Love the FOOD, always consistently good‼️.
Just wish you give the restaurant a FACE LIFT, it really needs a newer look. Also, the above heat/air is very cold! They always have to turn the blowers down, to make it more comfortable to dine‼️
The seafood gumbo was very tasty, but it could of been much hotter and a bit more spicier. Bread was terrific. I got Blackened Chilean Sea Bass and it was Awesome, as well as perfectly done veggies (al dente) and scrumptious garlic mashed potatoes. Went for our anniversary, and they gave us a free dessert to go!
Always a good meal, out of some menu items but there are plenty of choices still.
Great food and service. Only difficulty was in the road construction - a short term issue. Would recommend.
Great food and service as always. Nice, quiet atmosphere. Definitely recommend..
NYE - as usual a great menu for seafood. And considering it is COVID time and they were a bit short staffed the service was very good and attentive. It was a nicely paced dinner, we were not rushed considering it was NYE. Definitely go back and enjoy!
We were seated in the bar, so probably a little louder than normal. Overall, excellent food & great service.
Been almost 2 years since we have been there. Nothing has changed. Excellent service and excellent food,
I think this might be the best place in town to get fish.
We were there to celebrate a birthday. We had drinks, starters and main course. All of it was delicious!
We were called prior to our reservation and asked to come earlier. We had been out of town for the day and needed to clean up before going to the restaurant so coming early wasn't an option for us. From the moment we walked in, I felt we were inconveniencing the staff. Despite the few number of people in the restaurant and our server's clear goal to get home, my meal was lukewarm at best. I won't be returning and won't recommend this restaurant especially to celebrate a special occasion like my son's 16th birthday.
We were a group of 20 and had a wonderful dinner with a great server, Tom. Food and service was great.
Always great food and great service at the Columbus fish market. Everything was perfect. It's a bit pricey, but it's quality food and service so I'm ok with that.
We went to celebrate three of our friends birthdays. The food atmosphere, and service was incredible. Thank you for a wonderful evening. PS-get the Cedar Plank Salmon-you won’t be disappointed! Dish!
They overbooked for the night or understaffed. We understand it is a holiday and the service industry is strapped at the moment. We tipped well and were very patient and kind to all of the staff.
Our experience was no more than average for a restaurant from which I expected much more, especially on Christmas. First, there were no signs on the door requiring a mask and many, many disrespectful people (sometimes whole parties) entered the restaurant unmasked in a city which requires then. Second, our appetizer had clearly been sitting under the warmer for some time and arrived cold and essentially "dead" (Note: we did tell the server and she and the manager brought us a fresh appetizer - the only down side to this was we had eaten most of the first appetizer before the server returned, and though we told her we did not want a new appetizer, we received one and ended up wasting much of it). Third - our main entrees were just average - not the quality I am used to from The Fish Market.
The one bright spot was, though not exactly at pre-pandemic quality, the service was the best I've received in a restaurant since before the pandemic. That part os the experience was much appreciated and a breath of fresh air!
Christmas Dinner for 8...excellent service and food...extremely pleased given the Holiday and very busy. Kudos to entire staff!
An excellent family dinner on Christmas day. I had the prix fixe filet & scampi combo, with smashed redskins. The ceasar salad was literally one of the best I have ever eaten. It's always great here, but this one was amazing. We took desert home, which was delicous cheesecake.
We went there for Christmas and they had a 3 coarse dinner which was good. Had a choice of either soup or salad, 3 choices of desserts, and at least 3 entries. The waitress was sweet but seemed rushed as she never checked to see if our meals were okay and check on our drinks.
server-very good / presentation-very good / food-very good / ambiance-ok .
Went Christmas Day. Sooo many people (customers) walking around without masks on. Food was good (not outstanding like I've had there before). The place really needed a good cleaning (sticky floors and cobwebs at eye level on the wall by our booth). Our waiter was working his butt off with too many tables to cover (just the way it is now).
We enjoyed Christmas dinner there, the service, food and environment all made for great family get together!
We eat out a lot. The price of the food did not match the quality. We have had better meals in many lessor reputation restaurants.
Our server, Derrick, was great, friendly and professional. He was very helpful & I noticed he had another table near us, the two dinners had lots of questions for him and he was very patient & got answers for them promptly. Thanks to EVERYONE that worked on Christmas Day to make sure we had a great experience! The pecan crusted trout was excellent, as was the shrimp cocktail.
It was a perfect place to enjoy an unrushed Christmas Day lunch/dinner after hosting Christmas Eve dinner at my home. Loved everything. Kristin was an excellent, attentive server! I only gave 3 stars for ambiance because the light above our table kept flickering off and on randomly. Not to worry…we’ll be back!
Wonderful Christmas Eve experience. The dirty martinis with blue cheese olives were perfect. The calamari was very good and a wonderful Asian spicy sauce came with it. He ordered fish stuffed with shrimp and lobster meat. I had the king crab legs which were sweet and tender. Tom was an excellent waiter and very attentive. The food came pretty quickly. Yes, it’s a little pricey but definitely worth it!
Christmas Eve - our server was amazing - he was kind, efficient, helpful & patient. Very good experience for a holiday evening.
Outstanding! My wife and I went to the Columbus fish market to share Christmas Eve as our gifts to one another. It was a night that we will always remember. We will be back.
Great food. Excellent service.
Great food and service but a tish pricey. I will return for dinner
